As a converted workshop it's a bit of a Tardis in there, with high ceilings and an upstairs room where they hold comedy nights and private parties. It feels pretty airy in there, a nice contrast to some of the darker, cosier pubs I've been to. It was fairly busy, but not so much that we couldn't get a seat (a repurposed church pew). They also don't play any background music so you can actually have a conversation. There's a decent number of beers on tap, I opted for a pint of Timothy Taylor's 'Landlord' which went down a treat. For wine drinkers you can get it by the glass. All in all a very nice, fairly relaxed place to start an evening with a drink.

The chairs there are so comfortable you wont want to leave.

It does house quite a few private businesses and office space but it has so much more to offer than that. First up take some live theatre and music. The Crossley Gallery has fast become a key place for many Jazz acts to come and ply their trade. You've also got the Viaduct Theatre which attracts classical music and of course live stage productions. If that's not your thing then the art galleries are pretty impressive. They get some really interesting exhibitions and change them about quite regularly. Add to that a nice design shop, café and a restaurant and it's a treat that you'd maybe not expect to find in these industrial looking walls. Loving your work here.

It's a nice central clean building. The viaduct cafe is nice and the Design House Restaurant is pretty decent too. I like the galleries here - it's quite nice during a stressful day to wander downstairs and look at the pictures or sculptures - helps calm me down and face the day. The nightclub upstairs called panacea (which used to be a rock bar) is always dead since changing the music policy to house, you'll be lucky if you see 2 people on the dance floor at the most, and the only time you ever see more than 3 people is when they go up to buy cheap bottles of alcohol, only to scurry back downstairs again into fusion ''Nightclub''. Overall I would definitely avoid this place, I feel sorry for the dj's who always look miserable due to having to play the same music in a dead venue, the only way this club will pick back up again is by hosting some different events, that aren't (House, jackin, organ, bassline or deep house) and open their options a bit.

I think they are now playing to the pretentious crowd. Their food is excellent quality, but sadly they no longer do chunky chips, and only do fries. Come on guys, get it together.
