The interior is a bit drab and dark and not much natural light is allowed to get in. Nonetheless, there is a good selection of sports memorabilia to peruse. There are also a lot of screens which meant we were able to watch the races, footy and NBA at the same time. We had lunch as well, both selecting the cheeseburger for the quite extensive menu. We also ordered the 300g rump steak and the Panko crumbed prawns, which consisted of a good serve of 10 prawns, tartare sauce, chips and salad. Much to my disappointment, my order was forgotten and I had to wait for half an hour before it arrived. The waitress was very kind and apologised for the delay and even offered me another drink! I was going to turn a blind eye to the food delay until I bit into my burger! The steak patty was chewy and I just could not take another bite. At this point, it was already past 8.30pm which is when the kitchen closes but the waitress was again, kind enough to re-make my order. I decided to swap to Panko crumbed prawns instead and they happily did it for me. Overall, I wouldn't say this was a completely bad experience. Yes, the steak burger is a definitely a no-no for me on my next visit but the rump steak, which I got to taste, was surprisingly quite tender. The good service also made my experience a whole lot better. Harry's bar has a nice old country pub feel as you enter, so I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet spot to drink. They do also have partitions if you're wanting to organise your next function here.

Oh, as it is with Adelaide, sure enough when I wandered into this pub I ran straight into a couple of old friends of mine, so I ended up killing some time with them. They actually had a decent selection of beers on tap, and the balcony was also pretty cool. In fact it is a much better addition to the Adelaide pub scene that this place used to be.

The atmosphere may be different of the evening but a Sunday lunch destination this is not. We ordered the bunker burger, California salad and the pulled pork fries. The burger patties are ok for a pre bought patties and the burger was quite tasty. The salad had to be substituted for an open burger as they ran out of lettuce? But worst of all the pulled pork had a taste of off ham. The lady was very careful not to ask how the food was and brushed off any comment I had about the taste of the pork.

Interestingly when the pub first opened back in 1869, it was known as The Jetty Hotel so it has gone back to its original name. If you like to listen to some music while you sip your drink, The Jetty has live bands on most Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. When the bands aren't playing they have a jukebox in the front bar that's rocking from 7 each night and on Wednesdays you can get into a bit of karaoke if that's your thing. The Jetty Hotel isn't a ritzy experience. It's the kind of pub where you have a beer and put your bets on if you're in the front bar but it is a good place to watch the world go by. If you're in the market for a bite to eat, you can get a good feed either in the front bar or the Watergarden Bistro. They also have a café and a function room to accommodate close to 150 people. Should you so desire you can stay at The Jetty. It has 16 rooms and the rooms are well priced.

It is more of a restaurant than a pub, though it does have a front bar. One of the great things about this pub though is that there are lots of little rooms which you can book for your dinner party, meaning that you can dine in private. Certainly a place to check out, especially if you are looking for a place to have a dinner party (I've done it and it was great).

After waiting over an hour (all the others in our group already had their main courses), the meal finally came out on one plate which we had to divide up on our individual plates. It looked lovey! The issue with both of us, was the size of the shared meal we had to split up! There were ONLY 4 prawns! We had 2 each!! Mine were over cooked and tough. The barramundi was delicious, but certainly not enough for 2 people! One person could have eaten the whole lot easily. We certainly didn't get value for our $70.

The menu has enough schmancy words on it to make it sound like the meals are going to be gour-met enough so that they can justify asking for $25 for a salmon main in a pub. The mains aren't bad. Food is above average pub fare and they even fry their mash potato into balls. Only complaint? Not enough salad/chips for the price of the mains that you are paying for. After all, we aren't in the Queen's dining hall... I had a very well cooked Atlantic Salmon dish on a bed of beetroot risotto (that my friends delightfully described to look like "kittens insides" before I ate it). But unfortunately that was it. But occasionally when I've had a few free wines at an opening and am heading back to the east side of Hindley - or when I've had a few more beers and I'm heading somewhere on the west side of Hindley - I stop at the Rosemont to drink their cheap long island ice teas (Thursday nights) or to try and learn how to play pool adequately. In true sports bar style, the murky red carpet and the multitude of tv screens and flashy pokies usually makes me dizzy before I've even had my first drink there. To put it politely, it's a pretty rowdy place. This suits me fine past 9pm, but in the middle of the day when I walk past I do feel a bit uncomfortable. The beer garden is nothing short of fantastic, and it certainly has had a huge facelift since the time it was your standard corner pub. The atmosphere has changed dramatically and it is much more of a trendy inner city pub that your local suburban watering hole. Okay, it is not the cheapest place to go for a meal, but it has this really great atmosphere and it is certainly quite a relaxing place to enjoy a beer. In fact when I was doing some night course as the Bible college around the corner I would regularly stop here for a drink, and sometimes even drag my friends here afterwards for a bit of a night cap. This is certainly a place that I would recommend.
