Let me begin by stressing that The Room is not a beauty salon or spa. It's a massage therapy centre with skilled therapists offering a range of massage treatments tailored to suit the individual. Therapies offered include Aromatherapy massage , Swedish massage and Deep tissue sports massage. Other complementary therapies e.g Reflexology or Reiki are also available. Situated at the top of the busy thoroughfare University Street the Room offers a perfect oasis of calm away from the stresses and strain of everyday life. A professionally trained and skilled therapist will help you ascertain the best option for you with a pre - treatment consultation. The therapy rooms are decorated in muted tones with soft lighting and are comfortably heated. Soft music plays in the background during your treatment while you float off on a sea of calm. I've been going here for about a year now and cannot recommend it highly enough. An excellent way to relax, manage stress or pain relief or if you're a sports person in need of maintenance this is the place! read more

My wife seemed to really enjoy the massage, thank you!! She was expecting it to be more of a beauty spa, but was still very satisfied with the result of being there! read more

History
Established in 2007.
Tracy, originally from Armagh, came to Belfast to study Biochemistry at Queens University. After completing her degree she decided to enrol in a VTCT diploma in Swedish Massage and Advanced Massage for her own personal fun. She fell in love with massage and soon realised that she wanted to make it her way of life. After completing courses such as ITEC Indian Head Massage and ISTM Thai Foot Massage she was employed as a senior therapist in the 5* Culloden Estate and Spa. Here she excelled in her ESPA training for Hot Stone treatments and in body and facial treatments. She became a valuable employee of the highly acclaimed spa. Tracy then went on to study reflexology in Chrysalis school of reflexology and trained under Chris Hoey, life coach, teacher and practitioner of Thai massage for over 20years. In 2007 Tracy opened her own business 'The Room'.
