There are emergency appointments daily from Monday to Friday for acute conditions and it is easy to make a routine appointment . There are specialist clinics for asthma , diabetes and smoking cessation and other clinics which are by appointment. The building is purpose built therefore all areas are wheelchair friendly with disabled parking at front of building. The surgery is open from 08.30-18.00 Monday to Friday .Booked appointments are available 09.00-10.50and 14.00-17.30 Monday to Friday If registered with the practice it is possible to arrange appointments and repeat prescriptions online which is very convenient for most people's busy lifestyle.

If the appointments are all taken (almost always they will be), you have to ring in after 12 pm the next day to try again. If you work, good luck, because I usually have to ring after 1 pm because of work, and by that time there are no appointments. I've rung as early as 12:15pm and been told there were none. Now, you might be thinking, as was I, "Why can't I just book an appointment for the future? A few weeks away maybe? That's fine, right?" Not at all. This IS the system for booking those appointments. According to the guy on the phone, daily bookings are for 'two to three weeks'. I asked him to explain this, and he said that if I was able to secure an appointment on the 24th July, I would be booking from the 31st July onward. I mean, that's a week, so I have no idea how that connects to the 'two to three weeks' thing, but he seemed annoyed at having to explain even that much, so I gave up. You wouldn't need to be actually sick or anything, or you'd probably be dead by the time you got seeing anyone.

The practice is open Monday - Friday 8:15am - 5:30pm. I am very happy with my own GP at this surgery and get a fantastic service in that respect. Any other staff I have dealt with on reception and in the treatment room are also very friendly and personable. I took a star off however as it can sometimes be a nightmare to get through to them, and sometimes when I have got through, I've randomly got cut off halfway through which I'm sure you can understand is frustrating! This however should be eased soon as within the next month, they will be launching an online appointment booking service (you will need to sign up for this) They already have a useful online web portal for ordering repeat prescriptions. The reception area has a large book case for patients, a bathroom, and toys for children. There is a good sized car park outside, and a pharmacy across the road which makes collecting prescriptions handy.

The Practise nurse here is called Arlene and is a lovely lady. The surgery here can be busy so booking an appointment is preferable although there is a drop in facility. The surgery operates an appointment system. Appointments can be made with the receptionist, by phone or at the surgery. Each appointment lasts 10 minutes and is for one patient only. The surgery operates a triage system daily between 8.30 - 10.30am. If you feel you have an urgent problem which requires a doctor on the same day, you can phone the surgery and a doctor will return your call, to assess your needs. It can be hard to find unless you know where you're going so keep you eyes peeled. If you're coming up the station Road it's the second left, then you take the first right down in to the buildings. It should be sign posted towards the clinic. The surgery itself is exceptionally clean and hygienic which is always a bonus. The staff are helpful, polite and good at their job. The non smoking clinic is held on a Tuesday. Other services include; clinics for chronic disease care and they offer a wide variety of other medical services such as antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
