Greenisland Old School Surgery has been in practise since 1947. The doctors based here include Dr White, Dr Bradley, Dr Gibson and Dr Crothers. The Practise nurse here is called Arlene and is a lovely lady. The surgery here can be busy so booking an appointment is preferable although there is a drop in facility. The surgery operates an appointment system. Appointments can be made with the receptionist, by phone or at the surgery. Each appointment lasts 10 minutes and is for one patient only. The surgery operates a triage system daily between 8.30 - 10.30am. If you feel you have an urgent problem which requires a doctor on the same day, you can phone the surgery and a doctor will return your call, to assess your needs.
It can be hard to find unless you know where you're going so keep you eyes peeled. If you're coming up the station Road it's the second left, then you take the first right down in to the buildings. It should be sign posted towards the clinic. The surgery itself is exceptionally clean and hygienic which is always a bonus. The staff are helpful, polite and good at their job. The non smoking clinic is held on a Tuesday. Other services include; clinics for chronic disease care and they offer a wide variety of other medical services such as antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups. read more
