You're not gonna have surgery without a 2nd opinion, so don't let someone work on your house without one either. The gentleman, Steve, on the phone was personable and pleasant. Told me they could have Hunter out this morning. Same day service .... Impressive!!! I had told Steve the story they had told me about hail storm in June 2024, Hunter took the time before coming to do his homework to let me know it was actually July. He went up and I could hear him moving about the roof, he even brought down a remnant of a previous solar pool heater that was left up there when I had full solar put in. He let me know what I already knew, my roof is fine, has some years left in it and the door knocking company was blowin smoke for an insurance payday (my words not Hunter's). Hunter was an absolute joy to have around, my dog loved him, he's funny, has an awesome personality, is personable and direct about what he sees up there. Even told me he'd bring down pictures if he did see anything. The door knocker didn't show me squat. Gravity has thoroughly earned their 5-Star rating. Orange county roofing was recommended to me by a former roofing company, now retired.. I was having…read moreconstruction done on my home, and the moving of some walls created several unforeseen roofing leaks.. Owner said he'd come out and take a look to see if it could be repaired or replaced.. He sent out a repair guy who said there was "absolutely no reason" to go with the company (who showed up at the same time) and gave a quote on a complete new roof.. he could fix the issue. Since we were in the middle of a remodel, time and money were issues and we decided to go with them and the repair even though a new roof wasn't going to cost that much more. Well, the fix didn't fix the problem and they've been out now a total of 3 times.. Andy the owner came out after call #2 and said that he wouldn't reshingle the roof, but instead put up a much more expensive modified roof on my home because of the pitch.. He was the only roofer to say this, and this is where my feelings towards the company turned sour.. Because if he would have come out to view the house, like he said he would, PRIOR to the repair, during inspection and said this, i could have saved the almost 2k i paid for the repair and instead only paid another 1.5k for a new roof!! He then, after the second leak, said he'd be out personally to completely the 3rd repair on it.. He didn't come out, the same guy who was fixing it originally did.. Nothing against the guy who completed the repairs, but its 2 stars, because had i have been told up front they wouldn't reshingle the roof, or not have been told this would absolutely fix the problem, i would have just went ahead with a new roof from a competing company.. I'm not sure if the repairs have actually taken this time.. but, after a complete remodel of the interior i'm left with a patchy looking roof and a worry every time it rains. Therefor, i can't in any good conscious recommend this company.
