He has never charged much, and in fact with the first repair, I had to insist that he allow me to pay him. Because of his integrity and courtesy, I had him handle the insurance-paid replacement of a roof on one of the rentals that had Atlas shingles. After doing an initial, no-cost, inspection, he met with the adjuster on very short notice, and actually did the on-the-roof work for the adjuster while the adjuster stood in the yard below. Jeff and his crew put on the new roof, replacing more of the OSB than expected, and did some additional work at no extra charge. It looks great, and the tenants are delighted. They said he was very professional (which I already knew he would be), and he and his crew left the place really clean. I couldn't be happier with Jeff's work. He's very patient, his pricing is very reasonable, and he does excellent, high-quality, work. He shows up when he says he will, which is important. I…read moreclimbed the ladder, and realized I might fall off the ladder and die, so yup, I decided to call a pro. Thankfully, I found Alpha Precision. They are everything a pro should be! They were responsive to my request, provided a quote, and came out the next morning to complete the work. Tommy was prompt to arrive, assessed and confirmed the situation, and explained to me what was happening each step of the way. He's a man that is proud of his craft and trade, and does things right. Even though it wasn't included in the quote, he helped me paint the replacement vent covers. He called out some other things I would have never noticed, and helped me clean out my dryer duct, which was clogged with a birds nest and about a pound of lint! This is a very important thing to check, as a clogged dryer vent is a common cause of house fires! Hiring contractors will always cost money, and often times, people get consumed by cost. Well, people's time and their service cost money. Maybe you could save a few bucks here or there, but will the work be done right? Is the contractor rushing through your job to get to the next? Value isn't just a dollar figure; it's a function of a cocktail of things important to you. For me, that would be saving time, getting things done right, and relieving me of potential life threatening injuries. I can tell you that Tommy and Alpha Precision will take the time to do things right, so that you won't need to pay again later. STOP!!!! DO NOT USE MRN Contracting. I hired them to do a roofing job. Paid a deposit of 12K. A…read morecouple of days later the roofing materials was delivered. I scheduled the roofing job. The roofing workers was with a 3rd party contracting company. They did a great job. After the work was complete, I paid the balance of 6,500K. I didn't realize until a couple of days later I over paid MRN Contracting by $500. I reached out to them and ask for a refund of the over-payment. I was told by the sales associate and his partner a refund was on the way. After several attempts to notify them I never received my refund, the phone number was disconnected. However, the roofing material company was not paid. I received a certified letter in the mail, and within 7 days another letter via Fed Ex from an attorney's office suing me for the roofing materials I already paid for to MRN Contracting. After several attempts to notify MRN Contracting of this mistake, no one has reached out to me or take the responsibility and resolve this huge mistake. A "claim of lien" has been placed on my property. The roofing company has not been paid for their materials. Thief is a crime!!! The customer should not be punished for their criminal and irresponsible business practices' .
