Hail damage occurred in March of this year and I contacted Braswell Construction as well as 2 other local roofing companies. Chris Gaugler contacted me asap and came out to the house. The other two roofing companies I never heard back. Braswell Construction contacted my insurance company and worked out all the details. A week later I had a brand new roof with gorgeous colored shingles. Everyone in the neighborhood stopped by and literally knocked on the door to inquire. Jody at Braswell was courteous, knowledgable, responsive and helpful in discussing all of our roofing options. He was active in the inspection with the insurance company and when that didn't work out, he helped us decide on the best route in our budget for a new roof and fix to our leak issue. Our new roof looks great! We went with the architectural shingles and even with extra layers not seen in the inspection, Jody's crew was able to complete the job the same day, clean up and all. I have hired Braswell Construction Group 3 separate times to do work on my house. They replaced my roof on a 5000 sq ft house, they did drywall work in my kitchen on the ceiling, and they also did several household repairs to help me sell my house. I have been dealing with Chris. He is very professional, always comes when he says he will (and from what I have experienced in GA with contractors, that means a lot!), and the pricing has always been fair. He talks through the process of each job and what needs to be done and gives you the pricing upfront. He has played an instrumental role in helping me sell my house. If anyone needs a new roof, I can highly recommend Braswell Construction in Covington. They are BBB accredited with an A+ rating. They put on my new roof three years ago and did a great job--fast, efficient, and within the budget of my homeowner's insurance claim. Jody Gentle, their Business Development Manager, is really easy to work with and very responsive. A couple of weeks ago, after an all-day rain, I came home from work and found a huge water stain on my kitchen ceiling, along with water on the floor. Because of the rain, I assumed it was the roof leaking. I contacted Braswell, and they sent out a couple of roofers. It turns out that it wasn't the roof. It was actually a problem with the condensation pump for the HVAC system in the attic. Not only did they not charge for their guys coming out to diagnose the problem, Jody contacted me to ask if I wanted him to bring over equipment to dry everything up. ProServ wanted to wait until after the HVAC repair was made. Jody was less expensive. He also came over the same day his roofing crew came out. He took my wet vac into the attic, sucked up the water standing in the pan, removed the wet insulation, and put a dryer in the attic, along with a dryer and dehumidifier in the kitchen. The HVAC repair was made the following day. Jody came out on Sunday to test for moisture (it was all dry by then) and remove the equipment. True to his word, he gave me a good price. I called Brasewell Roofing two times and left messages, after the second message I finally received a call from a lady in the office she took my information and said someone would contact me shortly to schedule an appointment. That was 4 days ago and I have yet to receive a call back for someone to schedule an appointment with me, since then I have found another great roofing company locally that will be handling our roofing needs. ---- The owner contacted me and apologized for the misunderstanding and I really appreciated that. read more

Buyer Beware - I used Braswell for a roof installation in 2013 and was happy with their service. However, the treatment I've received since I noticed mold on the section of my siding by a window on the roof is anything but pleasant. Although they have been noticed that there are water stains at the peak of the window which would indicate intrusion from it's roofing which is resting on the lower level, they have been anything but customer friendly. Basically sending someone out to feed my a line of absolute bull. I am outraged, but will see if they decide to come around before i take them to court. read more

I was referred to Jody by my mother and he was extremely helpful in the process of meeting the appraiser for the insurance company and getting my roof approved! I am so happy that I will be finally getting a new roof. We are going to be going with the architectural style siding and I am beside myself happy about it!
