Review of Peek Mold Control…read more I regretfully share my experience with Peek Mold Control, particularly regarding the service we received during a critical time. The owner, Shary Peek, sent a worker to address mold concerns in our home, specifically in our children's playroom. Unfortunately, this experience turned out to be far from satisfactory. First and foremost, the worker who arrived to tackle the mold issue did not have proper personal protective equipment (PPE). This was alarming, especially given the risks associated with mold exposure. Instead of effectively resolving the problem, it seemed that the worker inadvertently spread mold spores throughout the playroom, raising significant concerns about the safety of our children's environment. I attempted to contact Shary Peek multiple times prior to her worker's arrival to discuss our concerns. Unfortunately, I was unable to reach her, which left me feeling unsupported and anxious about the situation. Once the work was purportedly completed, I was surprised to find that Ms. Peek attempted to charge us the full amount for the repairs $800 for a little over a foot of wood removal, despite the incomplete and unsatisfactory nature of the service provided. Overall, my experience with Peek Mold Control was disappointing and concerning. I expected a professional response to a serious issue, but instead, I felt that my family's safety was compromised. I would not recommend this company based on my experience and would urge potential customers to consider their options carefully.

My client was selling her home and during the buyer's inspection mold was discovered in the basement. We called Peek Mold Control and they came out the next day and gave her a quote. In my case, the work was left incomplete and caused additional problems in the home, including unfinished areas, damage that was not repaired, and issues with electrical work that did not pass inspection multiple times. Items returned to me were damaged, and several parts of the home were left unsecured or unfinished. I also had difficulty reaching the contractor afterward, which made the situation even more stressful. Based on my personal experience, I would advise others to proceed with caution."

Normally, I do not write reviews, they are far and few between -…read more Now... I will say this... Approximately a year ago I had used A Plus - I was in the hospital for emergency life saving surgery - and due to my health - I was not allowed to leave the hospital and had to leave my dogs alone for almost 24hrs - please understand - my leaving my dogs was NOT due to neglect - I was a day - 2 days at the most from dying - my situation was CRITICAL and the Drs stated if I left the hospital there was a very STRONG possibility that I could die driving home to get my dogs - my fear of dying was overwhelming to say the least and the thought of possibly dying driving home to get my dogs and possibly injuring/killing anyone in a car accident was not something I could risk... Unfortunately, one of my friends was not able to get to my dogs until the following day and she was aware of how dire my situation was - Needless to say, I knew that my carpeting was going to be hit with the dogs 'accidents'... About a week after my surgery I started to call around for a carpet cleaning company that would be willing to do the work without gauging me in the pocketbook... I found Alex at APlus - He was extremely kind and compassionate to my situation - He was willing to work with me in every aspect - I had never forgotten... And when I FINALLY came home - my carpets looked incredible and there was ABSOLUTELY NO 'ODOR' lingering... It was a HUGE relief to me! I reached out to Alex again, literally today, regarding a cleaning... He remembered me from the initial job and from previous conversations... How many companies will 'remember' you? Now I will not go into what we've discussed and agreed to... But, I will say this... For a company in today's era that is willing to GO ABOVE and BEYOND and TRULY helps a person and put's the customers needs before their own profits - Speaks VOLUMES... I'm old school and you are only as good as your word, a handshake means something... I can only go by the work he had done for me previously and I was very happy with results... But, the absolute generosity in helping a person in my situation, (I'm sorry I do not wish to elaborate), gives me renewed faith that there are still Companies like APlus who truly care about their Clientele... I may not be able to use his services as much as I would llike, but, he has a customer for life... Unless of course I win the lottery - Sorry Alex - if that happens I'm moving to Bora Bora! If you are looking for not only good work but a company who listens and actually cares... Give Alex a call... Tell him I sent you!

He was able to accommodate my short-notice request and crazy work schedule, and communicated well and clearly throughout the scheduling process. He showed up on time and finished when he projected he would. I was favorably impressed with his professionalism as well as the very reasonable pricing for his services! I waited five days after work was done to write this so any temporary effect would pass...you know how sometimes carpets look great right after while drying, then a few days later when dry, stains reappear and you see the work was shoddy - surely NOT the case with this work!) He also cleaned a sofa and dining chair cushions for me which look brand new afterwards. I went from thinking about replacing the carpets in the just-acquired home, to being able to spend those dollars on other projects, thanks to the outstanding workmanship of the cleaning job! I could not be happier with the completed job, and will definitely use this company again as well as recommend it to others I know.
