I would say bad for my wallet except her prices are reasonable and she often offers a discount. If you love unique jewelry or stones (quartz, malachite, turquoise, amethyst, etc), do yourself a favor and stop in. I don't think you will regret the stop!

Very clean and organized store. Very chill customer service. There was a sale going on, buy one 50 percent off of all clothing. I grabbed a skirt and a shirt that were super cute for the summer! I was a little surprised they even sold squishy toys since most of the items in the store aren't geared toward kids. A few stores down, we found the exact same squishy for $12.95. I thought, "Oh well, it happens," and didn't think much of paying a little more. But when my daughter was about to open it, I noticed the box wasn't factory sealed. It had been closed with two pieces of Scotch tape. The moment I opened it, I knew she'd been scammed. The squishy was dusty, and half of the ink from one of its eyes had transferred onto the bottom of the toy. It looked like someone had already played with it, decided they didn't want it, put it back in the box, and the store resold it as new. So not only did they charge more than the store just a few doors down, but they also sold us what appeared to be a used toy. That was really disappointing, especially for something meant for a child.

I had heard about this little gem, known as the last bookstore in Carmel, but hadn't had the time to stop by until this trip. The selection of books was decent, and the service was good. I was even able to find and purchase a book that had been on my to-read list. The books were reasonably priced but some of the garden stuff was pricey. The Secret Garden was especially relaxing and beautiful. I really enjoyed walking through it, taking my time, and simply taking it all in. Definitely a lovely little spot to visit while in Carmel!

As a tribute to Steinbeck and his connection to the area, the museum was thoughtful, engaging, and well worth the visit. It gave the whole visit a strong sense of place and helped connect the landscape to Steinbeck's writing. Hidden gem with a huge selection and variety of plants!…read more After visiting my mother and hearing about her new obsession with Hoyas I decided I should add one to my collection as well. I didn't know this place existed until I found it on Yelp and am glad I visited. When you walk in there are rows and rows of a variety of different plants that are overall healthy and well cared for. I was greeted shortly after my arrival by an man who said to let him know if I needed any help, which I appreciated. He didn't hover over me as a browsed, which is always nice. There are different rooms with everything from plants, metal artwork, pots, planting material, and gifts. The outside area is impressive with a large collection of ferns, succulents, cacti and flowers. I didn't find a hoya I liked but did find a beautiful red Salvia flower and bright pink Geranium I couldn't pass up. Overall the value of the plants is worth it but did see some overpriced plants. I fully support local businesses and understand retail stores don't always carry the quality you get from a shop like this. The man who checked me out was very friendly and wrapped my plants to prevent damage, which was nice. I highly recommend this place!
