Our server Kaydi quickly came over to offer drinks, an energetic tone, a positive smile, and the refreshing Southern "yes ma'am/sir." I got the Blues Brothers Burger with sweet potato fries, a very tasty lunch, and filling. We were offered to-go drinks, a cordial touch. Pricing averaged about $25 per person, a very reasonable price for the value delivered. Overall, we will certainly be back the next time we're driving along the east coast. But when we were done, I did not like how she presented me the check. She just quickly flashed me an amount on a screen, and then hid the screen. I asked if I could pay cash and she accepted it but did not bring me a check even then. We ordered 3 burgers that sounded really good. Such a disappointment. The burger meat in each was shaped perfectly and was as hard as a hockey puck. They appeared to be cooked medium but the meat was tough and gristly. I have no idea how they got all the burgers the exact, uniform hockey puck shape. They must be like those frozen ones you can get at Costco. But $17.95 for a frozen hockey puck? At one point, while my kids were telling me how gross the patties were, while my husband and I told them they had to eat them to go play on the playground, I flagged the server down and asked what type of meat it was. She said beef. However, it did not taste like beef. Thank goodness for all the toppings because if they were plain burgers, they would have been inedible. We were so hungry though so we ate what we could. Notably, the buns also tasted cheap like they had just come out of a stale grocery store deli bag. I had looked at the website prior and while they list their flagship beers, they do not have a list of their seasonal offerings until you get into the brewery. Overall I was satisfied with the food, I will just try a different side next time. When it came time to close our tab, it asked if we wanted to tip, 18, 20, or 25% on our total bill. I only tipped on the beer since I had to get up to order my food and then go retrieve it myself as well...I did not mind doing that, I just don't think that's a procedure worth tipping. All of the bartenders were very pleasant. This really was a wonderful afternoon with friends. I probably won't come during the summer since I imagine it being crowded, but I will definitely return in the fall or next spring. I wanted to purchase a pint glass but they didn't have them.
