Walked in Saturday for lunch. Our first time here. We Stood at the hostess stand for 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. Then a lady came and grabbed us and threw 2 menus on a table without making eye contact. I tried to ask her if we could get a booth but she ignored me and kept walking. Then we waited 10 minutes for a wait staff to come by for our order but no one ever did so we got up and left. We won't ever go back. They had plenty of staff and could at least apologized for the wait. read more

I've been to a lot of places around Smith Mountain Lake, and Pizza Pub has the best gluten free pizza anywhere. Thanks Jen and Renee for your great service. read more

Don't get Pizza or stromboli Its soggy and terrible. Told waitress and she so sorry but that was it.

We stop in all the time, usually for breakfast or lunch. The people that work there are so nice. The pizzas are really good, fresh. We like the fact that we know everybody there and everyone is so friendly. Also, it's conveniently located to everything we need to do. read more

Here in town with friends and got three pies to go. As a transplant "come here" from the north east, I can be pretty critical of pizza. Dinner tonight was probably the best pizza I've had in the state of Virginia. Crust made from dough made daily and topped with heaps of toppings. Very nice! Thanks for dinner. read more

Delicious, reasonably priced, fast service, and a chill vibe. It's my 3yo's favorite pizza place. I love their wide menu so there's something for everyone, no matter the craving. My colleagues and I go there for lunch occasionally and even though it's busy, our drink are always full, we're always in & out in time to get back to work. It's also a family owned & run business and you can tell their commit to the community. They even support local non-profits, like sponsoring sports team and the YMCA. All around a good place to eat and a great place to support! read more

If you like store bought frozen pizza, like Tony's, you'll like Pizza Pub. Some of their menu items, however, are excellent, like the calzones and Stromboli. Also the broccoli bites. Large pizza with 2 toppings is about $22. Hint, you can get a large at Papa John's nearby for under $12. Just sayin... read more

their pizza has been great. The last couple of times that I've gotten our whole groove there were six of us enjoyed all our food and the weight staff was very friendly and attentive. read more

My wife and I are in town camping at Occoneechee state park and wanted to go into town to try some local food, and this place was awesome! We got fried mushroom, the crab sub, and meat lovers Stromboli and everything was delicious! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We'd definitely go again if we were back in the area! read more

First of all set your expectations for the area you are in folks.... My party of five found the decor very simple and in good working order ... the single waitress on duty did a fantastic job keeping up with her tables. The food quality was very good I had the club and side salad . We also had cheese sticks, personal pizza , cheese steak calzone and the special meat loaf and mashed potatoes all of which was tasty and large portions! We would definitely come here again if in the area! If your looking for craft micro green healthy fixins then your in the wrong place read more

Unfortunately, I can't speak about the pizza, but when I stumbled in and was informed that they had a "meatloaf special," against my better judgment, I ordered the meatloaf at a pizza joint. Best meatloaf I've had in a long long time! So good! And the staff was as nice as can be as well. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Clarksville! read more

Wow . This place was not clean dark and dingy . There has been a Chef wanted sign before you enter for about a year and it shows in the quality of their food . Not much now in Clarksville since the covid bullshit . I ordered chicken fried steak and it was Cisco produced hockey puck that had cold gravy on it . The mash potatoes were cold and the green beans were soggy . Now for the good . The have fantastic draft beer selection and the beer is ice cold. The Stromboli was very good much better than the pizza . Wings : one day the wings were fantastic the next day they were small and not good . Consistency consistency consistency. It not here . read more

Great food and service. Love going here for a night out. Lots of locals. Sandy does a great job behind the bar

I can see why people are going to judge this place because it's "dark" and "dingy" inside. Please, please, please don't let that stop you. We are so incredibly surprised how great all the food was and our service was excellent. I was not expecting that at all. Also we got several different dishes and appetizers. Everything was really good. I am a pizza snob from NY so my standards for real pizza is high so I wouldn't write home about their pizza but I would definitely get it again when we are back in town. read more

Food was terrible, overpriced. Lemon pepper salmon was super salty (great for high bp), mashed potatoes instant, cole slaw super sugary, and hush puppies terrible. Ordered a side order of onion rings and got overcharged with a pound of greasy, overfried sticks. Not worth $10, let alone the $47 we had to pay. read more

We placed a take out order on a Monday night. The pizza was just ok. The calzone was good. The cheese fries had barely melted shredded cheese on top. They were out of wings the night we ordered. It looks like the pandemic did a number on this town. (Or maybe it was always like this.) But many restaurants are "permanently closed." And many shops on the main street are vacant/ for sale. read more

It's a decent place. A little dark inside with weak lighting but the food is your typical bar eats. Everyone there is friendly and nice. All in all it's a decent spot for a quick bite to eat and an ice cold beer. read more

I'm not really sure why this place is such a booming business when they're over priced and the place inside is absolutely horrible dark and Denji you would think after so many years of being opened they would have updated inside by now the color that they chose to paint it is corky, and just overall not the place you would think a Lake community would have read more

Working in Clarksville, VA this week, we found a hole-in-the wall Pizza joint called the Pizza Pub. Expectatations of greasy, thin crust pepperoni and green pepper pie were met, with glee and stained napkins. The menu advised us that after 4pm, prices may vary. So did my interest in finding out why, but interesting enough to photog and post as the first PP pic. The dark accent lighting and general feel reminded me of Shakeys Pizza in Tysons Corner (long gone, for those of you who know what I'm talking about). Shakeys introduced me to video games, sticky soda grip tape floors and cracker crust style pizza. Lollipops and pony rides are possibly the only things that could have made it a better family place. The staff was pleasant, the pizza was good, the decor was old and dingy, and most importantly, my appetite was surpressed. Good show, Pizza Pub. Like. read more

i literally live laugh and love here. this place has given me a will to live. i would spend my last moments here. i'm friends with all the critters here. i lost my virginity it the men's bathroom. i had my wedding reception at the bar. if i was on death row the alfredo here would be my last meal. the waitresses all smell like yummy chicken. service is great. the taste of the walls are even better. my only complaint is that they painted the outside dookie green. cassie deserves a raise, but fire bart or fart. whatever it's name is read more

Fantastic food and beer! Got rained out from crappie fishing but loved the pizza pub. Service was excellent too!

This is a shame for Clarksville. We really need this restaurant but it's so hit and miss I can't eat here anymore. From time to time the pizza was really good. Like a wood fired pizza oven then the next time it's not cooked. The fact that it's dirty is a real turn off. Sorry, could be a great place but during this crisis I can't deal with filth. read more

If you want to blend in, don't enter through the Virginia door - go in the door at the back of the place. LOL. I didn't have the pizza, but some colleagues did and it looked pretty darned good. Unless you're in the mood to eat a lot of pizza, stick with the X-Small or the Small. The medium is a lot of pizza. I had the meatball sub and a side of ruffled chips and it was pretty darned good. There aren't a whole heck of a lot of choices in Clarksville, so this one is definitely worth a try if you're in the area. read more

Expect pub pizza, nothing more and nothing less. Dough was a little undercooked for how I like it. Also none of the cooks were wearing masks which, if you're gonna have the kitchen in direct sight of the takeout counter during COVID time, they should probably wear. read more

Call before going here. Everything we found online said it was open today. We thought we take a nice motorcycle ride to Clarksville and since the Lamplighter is closed a friend told us to try the "pizza place" down the street. We get there at 1 pm to find it closed. But all the signs and everything online saying they are open at 11 am on Sunday's. What a huge disappointment and a lesson learned. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Got in Clarksville pretty late last Saturday and was the only thing open. All the ingredients were made fresh and everything tasted great! The only thing I could have used more of was pizza sauce. Will definitely go back if I'm ever that way again. read more

The lady at the front entrance would not serve a group of 16 because I had a bathing suit cover up on that covered everything. Then we walked around to get takeout and the woman walked around to the take out and smirked and waived. She should be fired. No one should eat here. There were customers asking why we were outside and we explained and they walked away after seeing the conservative cover up I had on. Losing business from a rude, mean woman. read more

We have eaten there many times as we live locally. Aggie & Sandy really try to do their best. Skibo & Cassie do well. Pam is a doll. The food quality is fairly consistent. Menu - especially appetizers - is dated. They need more food prepared in house, not from a bag that is dropped in a fryer. Specials are typically good. Do you get value for the money? For sure. Service is spotty. Some waitresses are good on some nights. Some "ain't". Decor is so-so, but it is a pub, not a restaurant. read more

This is my all time favorite bar. I live in Durham NC, but because of the Pizza Pub my fiancé and I have decided to have our wedding here in Clarksville, VA. I refuse to get married in a town that won't let me smoke a cig while I eat my chicken fried steak (best one on the East Coast). Everyone here is friendly and inviting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

Pizza Pub - Seafood Friday - Pizza Near Me - Clarksville, Virginia

The pizza is pretty good for pub style establishment. The Pizza Pub is a convenient place to stop in and have a cold beer after spending a day on the lake! A dining area is in front and the pub area is in the rear so it is a friendly set up for both adults and families. read more

Never again will I eat in this place again! My food came with a salad that I could get from the salad bar. But after I saw the waitress put pieces of lettuce that was on the counter back in the lettuce on the bar with her bare hands, I lost my appetite for a salad. Then it didn't help that a brick was used at the bottom to hold it up because one of the legs was broken. The food comes and the pizza was disgusting. It was obvious that they use a pre-made crust instead of making their own from scratch. No sauce, barely any cheese and the toppings were just thrown on top. For this to be a "pizza" pub, the pizza should be the bomb! The place was dirty and the only reason why we even ate in here was because Gino's was shut down and there's nothing else to eat other than fast food in Clarksville. Giving this place a 1 Star is hella generous! Don't waste your time or your money up in here! read more

Some of the ladies and I went to the Pizza Pub for a pizza lunch and had a great time. The pizza is good and the prices are fair for the amount of food that you get. With more of a dining room in the front and a pub and bar area in the rear, they offer two totally different atmospheres. We were able to sit in the front area and have a nice chat. read more

The pizza is good....that is about all I can say for this place. Yes it is good but also very expensive. $18 for a large deluxe when the toppings are chopped so small you can't even taste them. Also, very inconsistent with the pizza crust, one side thick other really thin, no sauce on a spot, stuff like that. As for the rest of the place it's a mess. Dirty, dank, and old. The bar area reminds me of a burn out's basement. So if you do go order pizza and pick it up from the back to go. Just another example of nowhere to eat in the area and people get complacent read more
