The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was amazing. The café itself had several rooms each decorated differently as well as outdoor seating. I noticed that they supported local artists and most of the art on the walls had price tags (which is a huge plus.) Overall this café is great and has a wonderful aesthetic value and I would recommend it to any travelers who find themselves in Killarney and any locals who have wandered in yet!

Stepping inside, we were greeted with a warm welcome that immediately set the tone. The coffee was expertly prepared, the freshly baked scones were outstanding, and the generous dollop of whipped cream that accompanied them was exceptional--light, rich, and indulgent without overwhelming the pastry. Sometimes the simplest breakfast, when done well, is the most satisfying. Old Market Lane is one of Killarney's most historically significant streets, serving as the town's commercial heart throughout the 18th and 19th centuries when merchants and craftsmen filled its narrow passageways. Today, its historic character remains intact, even as cafés, boutiques, and galleries have transformed it into one of Killarney's most inviting pedestrian lanes. Settling into the café's intimate rear courtyard with coffee in hand, we found ourselves immersed in Killarney's unmistakably international atmosphere. Conversations flowed in several languages, blending effortlessly with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and warm pastries. It was a reminder that while Killarney proudly celebrates its Irish heritage, it has also become a welcoming destination for visitors from around the world. Regular readers know that I generally prefer restaurants and cafés to leave politics at the door. I believe there is a time and a place for political expression, and for me, dining should provide a welcome respite from the day's debates. Fortunately, what ultimately defines Noelle's Café is not any signage or messaging one might notice, but the warmth of its hospitality. The gracious staff, excellent coffee, and superb baked goods are what linger in the memory long after the cups have been cleared. Sometimes the most memorable cafés aren't the ones you carefully plan to visit--they're the ones you discover by chance, where genuine hospitality, excellent coffee, and a seat in a charming courtyard combine to capture the spirit of a place. Noelle's Café did exactly that, making it a fitting farewell to our time in Killarney.

It made the whole experience feel special. The coffee was absolutely delicious. My flat white with coconut milk was done perfectly -- smooth, rich, and beautifully balanced. Honestly one of the best I've had in Ireland. And the desserts... wow. The lemon cake was perfectly sweet (not overpowering at all), and the chocolate coconut tart was simply supreme. This was our second breakfast stop and the reason we choose it because we got a flyer for a free tart. (Btw the tart was strawberry and it was delicious!) My first thought when my Irish breakfast came on the table was that the plate was too little for the amount of food. So what my plate consisted of and my thoughts on the portion are as below: - one fried egg, very softly done (too soft for me - would have liked the whites cooked a wee bit more) - 2 small rounds of black pudding (delish!) - 2 small rounds of white pudding (not as good as the one I ate previously at the Yummy cafe) - lovely scoop of baked beans (these mixed with my egg, which I didn't like, to be honest) - 2 pretty decent size rashers of bacon (very salty for my palate) - half a pan-fried tomato (well- cooked) - small scoop of fried fresh mushrooms (nice, but too small in quantity) - I switched out the regular two slices of toasted white bread for the local cracked wheat bread (okay) - Medium sized glass of OJ (can also chose coffee and tea). Service was lovely, and they have free wifi and with a very cute password. However I'm not sure if I was a local if I would come back? For my tastes, I found my previous Irish breakfast experience at Yummy to be overall much better. This is not to say this is not bad, but I'm on the fence about it. The employees were friendly and chatted with us about where we are from (Oregon) and what we were doing in Tralee of all places. Our drinks were ready quickly and we sat inside to enjoy them. If it was a little cooler out I think the windows would have been open but since it was so warm they were closed which meant there were flies hovering around everywhere. They didn't seem interested in people or food, they just wanted to hover in the air. This was a perfect spot to relax after an exhausting morning. I would go back if I had the chance!

They have a full restaurant as can be seen in the photo I submitted of the outside, but once you enter you realize they are also a full bakery and have a great assortment of all kinds of scones and baked goods as well as many breakfast and lunch items. I ended up getting a cappuccino and slice of a quiche and both were excellent. My wife ended up getting a scone which was also terrific and a latte. We also had an 18 month old with us and we were surprised that they catered well to children and had baby chairs as well. This is a place where it is welcoming and once you sit down, it is hard to leave. Service was friendly and quick and if we were staying in Killarney longer, there would have definitely been a repeat visit to this place. We will look to visit this place on our next trip to Killarney.
