Berkeley Heights is the relatively small mixed-use development on Northside Drive (41) near I-75. It's in a great location -- close to the interstate and a lot of Atlanta hotspots like Westside (West Midtown), but without the expensive Westside rental rates (both for apartment dwellers and retail/restaurant owners). And it has free parking. Restaurants I've been to here (and have written reviews for) include: Open: * Ginya Izakaya (opened September 23, 2015) https://www.yelp.com/biz/ginya-izakaya-atlanta-4 One of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Atlanta. Berkeley Heights is lucky to have it. I'm a big fan of chef/owner Hiro Endo. He's the man. This was my go-to online dating spot in 2016. Lol. * Grecian Gyro (opened June 3, 2019) https://www.yelp.com/biz/grecian-gyro-atlanta-2 Good Greek fast-casual. This is the first in-town location of this local chain. * Little Azio (opened circa 2006): https://www.yelp.com/biz/little-azio-atlanta-2 Fast-casual pizza and pasta. Longest standing restaurant at Berkeley Heights, by far. Currently, there are only two locations in Atlanta. The other is on Moreland Ave in East Atlanta. Now Closed: * Blue Coast Burrito (opened November 6, 2017, closed December 14, 2018) https://www.yelp.com/biz/blue-coast-burrito-atlanta My wife and I really liked this place and were sad to see it close after only about 13 months. This was like a five-star version of Moe's Southwest Grill. * Cardamom Hill (opened January 2, 2012, closed July 28, 2014) https://www.yelp.com/biz/cardamom-hill-atlanta Cardamom Hill was critically acclaimed. It made Bon Appetit magazine's Top 50 Best New Restaurants list in 2012. It was owned by popular chef and restaurateur Asha Gomez. One restaurant at Berkeley Heights that I never made it to was Annie Mae's Pantry. It opened on/around August 18, 2017 (https://www.instagram.com/p/BX9aQMKjW78/) and closed by February 15, 2019 (https://atlanta.eater.com/2019/2/15/18226228/annie-maes-pantry-closes-berkeley-park-atlanta). It was next door to Ginya and owned by CamiCakes owner Andra Hall. Berkeley Heights' apartment complex has 182 units. It's a mid-rise and I believe it goes up to five floors (mid-rise = five to 12 floors). One of my friends used to live here. BEWARE!!!! By far, the WORST apartment complex I resided in. After a few months of living here, I…read morecomplained of water leakage coming from vents. Maintenance team came out and told me they saw nothing. I, then, informed maintenance of mold on my belongings. Maintenance came out, said it was mildew and not to worry about it. Mold spread throughout my entire apartment, from my belongings to my clothing to even the food my dogs were eating. I reached out to the leasing office demanding urgent reconciliation for this matter to which they responded their maintenance supervisor came out and did not find any moisture/humidity leaks. They sent maintenance men out (without my knowledge and hoping I wouldn't be home) to clean out my vents in which every vent had an ample amount of black mold, which they would've noticed months ago when I continuously complained of water leaking from vents. City View wanted to be cheap and not spend money on an actual mold company to come out and evaluate the condition of my apartment and how extensive the mold damage had gotten. As an asthma patient whose symptoms deteriorated beyond inhalers and to a biological injectable medicine because of the mold neglect, I hired my independent mold inspector and property development company who provided me with a report of how many mold spores there were in the apartment and how they in fact DID stem from the moisture in the vents. Fast forward, I demanded being let out my lease after hearing several other neighbors complain of mold to which they responded by giving me a Release in Full paperwork. This paper basically said I wouldn't sue them for any prior, past, or future mold issues. I refused to sign that document because it took me mentioning my health was deteriorating and I was taking legal action (I had already retained a Personal Injury lawyer at this time) for them to release me. Long story short, they sent me a hefty move-out invoice to which I am suing them in small claims court for Constructive Eviction and they are attempting to counter-sue me accusing me of negligence and improper notice of mold. Thank God I kept all maintenance requests, videos, documentation, reports, and medical summaries resulting from the negligence caused by this disgusting and greedy company. My personal injury lawyer and I will be teaching this company how to properly care for concerns like mold early on so things don't have to go this far. OVERALL, PROTECT YOUR BELONGINGS, HEALTH, AND PEACE OF MIND AND STAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE FROM THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX. BEWARE!!!!!

These people are dumb and try to make life as hard as humanly possible. For the last month they want you to go get a money order or a cashiers check to pay them. This is absolutely ridiculous and there's no reason for this other than the parent company is too lazy and incompetent to build a computer system that will allow for your last months payment. I've lived in other apartment complexes where this has never been an issue but Cityview just chooses to make things way more difficult than it Has to be. Yes this is an older building but the new management team has been focused on giving everything a facelift. Atlanta had a major power outage recently that knocked out the elevator power and within minutes the management team communicated and had the maintenance team servicing the elevators. This building is centrally located and you're able to walk to all restaurants and shopping places from the building. I love it here and will be here for a while as long as this team stays in place. Then we ask about a credit for the TWO trash valets we are paying (personal and community) you are told this fee is built into your rent so they will "see" what they can do. Pretty sad but I will say this is what you are met with when nobody lives on site but the maintenance guys. It's not the women in the office homes that look like this, so it does not matter to them. So when you are seeing this building being price lower than the others in the area please believe you are going to pay the price one way or another. Also after all the fees they have added under this new name because it was Arium prior you are basically paying the same as everyone in the area.

He passed away suddenly July 5, 2025. The Brumby made me pay 2 months rent plus one month plenty because I had to break the lease. Yes, my husband died and it has been very difficult. The Brumby is the only business that was so insensitive. Even the XFinity backed dated his account and gave me a refund. If you move here be aware that they will not be kind if for some reason, even death, if you have to move out before the lease is up.

I've had a positive experience with Oak Pointe. It's affordable for being in the location that it's…read morein, there's plenty of great places to eat/shop/drink/hang within walking distance, and the neighborhood is safe. The apartments themselves are older, but they recently renovated them (trust me, they look a lot better now). The units aren't huge, but they are cozy and have character. There's also a small dog park. I like the new app they started using for paying bills & putting in maintenance requests because as a pet-owner, it gives me the option to give them a heads up and make sure my cat doesn't get outside when they enter. It also gives you the option to state if you'd prefer to be home or not when maintenance comes. Every time I've had an issue, maintenance has resolved it quickly and when I have questions/concerns relating to the apartment itself, my emails typically get responded to in a timely manner - shoutout to Luke and Trey. There were a few car break-ins, but I've never had an issue myself, as I never leave anything visible in my car. Regardless, Oak Pointe took response to everyone's concern about it and installed brighter lights outside. During the summer there are occasionally bugs, but its Georgia and that's to be expected. I'm hopeful that if there was ever an issue with bugs (knock on wood) that their extermination team would handle it. My only real complaint is that the walls are thin, but I know that's beyond managements control. I'd rate it 4 stars because no place is perfect (that's something I've learned when looking up pretty much any apartment complex in Atlanta online), but I feel that Oak Pointe is a pretty darn solid place to live for both young people and small families. I'd especially recommend it to GSU students because MARTA is a 10-min walk and GSU is only a few stops which makes it super convenient.
