I came to treat myself to a birthday spa experience. I've always ever gone to regular massage places, and decided I wanted a more luxury experience. I got the California Dreamin hour long massage with heather and she was literally amazing, 10 minutes into massage it was already one of the best massages I ever had. She asked all the right questions and just knew what she was doing. I felt very cared for, afterwards I hung around the lounge, sauna and steam room, ate some fruit and nuts, took a nice steamy shower, and left feeling amazing. To top it off Olivia made my birthday extra special by making skincare and restaurant recommendations and gave me a small birthday gift from the resort which really was the cherry on top for me. Yes it was expensive, but it was worth every penny for me. I really needed to feel cared for and your team did that today thank you

This is it if you want to spend time at the spa. Yep 6 chairs in a basic room

Nice facial BUT there is nothing else in the spa available other than a small sauna. Six chairs in the ladies lounge and that's it other than a shower. Hmmm. Wouldn't call this a spa at all. No whirlpool or resting rooms to read. Bring your own magazine too. Very disappointing.

Nice spa with great personalized service. We got a massage and it was professional and made us feel wonderful! The spa was small as there is only one vanity spot and b one hairdryer. Lacks some additional amenities. The sauna and steam room were well kept. Jacuzzi is outside.

The Ritz was booked for some of the days we were gone so we tried the Waldorf. It did not disappoint at all. Like other luxury hotels in the area this place is very expensive, and some of it bugs me. Not only are you paying for your room, valet and taxes they also charge for most of the things you want to do there. This includes a resort charge with WiFi any and all fitness classes, beach towels (now this is nuts) , chairs & umbrellas, preferred green fees, beach games (are you kidding me), and any tram to the beautiful beach. Some I totally get and others are just silly. Now, I will be back. But I am never going to pay to play a game with others or for beach towels. We did not golf so I have no opinion on whether the cost is worth it, and I also have no idea how many holes it has. It is pretty and I do get the idea of a green fee, but beach towels, just no. The entire property is beautiful. It rests on top of a seaside bluff on some 175 acres in Dana Point. There is a private beach club, three pools (no fee), oceanfront golf, an amazing luxury spa and wonderful views. You can become a member of their spa, and fitness area. I have no idea of the cost. They offer every spa treatment you want and the service is great. We loved the pools and the views. The food is great there. This is another of you don't have to leave if you don't want place. Peace and quiet seekers will love this place and if you are into spa and wellness services, this is the place for you. All the guest rooms have a private terrace or patio. The rooms are so pretty. The beds are ever so comfortable. The housekeeping service is great. Our view was wonderful. There was nothing there that I needed that I did not have in my room. The service is just so kind and calm. We loved it. Save your pennies, this will cost you. Go for a special occasion or to just detox from the busy world.

I visited the spa as part of an overnight getaway to the Waldorf Astoria resort after the New Year…read more Unfortunately, the spa doesn't live up to the resort level experience it should be. For starters, my initial tour didn't include the quiet room, which I later discovered on my own after my treatment. In addition, there were no light snacks in the women's area, only a single water dispenser & a tea station, both of which were empty the entire 4 hour duration of my time there. Upon departure I realized there are some light snacks in the "members area" , which was also not shown to me during my tour upon check in, and I was surprised to see it all being put away at 5:30 , despite the spa being open until 7:00 pm. When a spa facilitates extended exposure to heat via saunas and hot tubs, it's essential that patrons have access to water so they can rehydrate and to have snacks available. This was a total disappointment. For the service itself, I got a 60 minute de-stress package. The first few minutes after my technician introduced herself were spent reviewing upsell options for feet, scalp, eye, and shoulder treatments that ranged an addition $40-60. I was surprised to learn the add-ons did not actually add time to the service, but the same 60 minute massage would occur with an emphasis on the body part mentioned. This was tacky and not something I would expect from a 5 star resort. In terms of the facilities and their upkeep, the towels were piled high in the hampers throughout the time I was there and the bowl with iced washcloths stayed empty until the last hour. The facilities themselves were outdated and nothing special with respect to the dry and wet saunas and the small whirlpool in the women's section. Overall I do not recommend the Waldorf Astoria spa and will spend my $300-500 spa day money elsewhere.

Not only is the location beautiful and historic, but the new hotel (in which this spa is located) is also gorgeous and fits in perfectly with the SJC ambiance and architecture. Inside the spa, they first offered us some delicious watermelon water! So refreshing on a 90F summer day!! The owner and staff were very friendly and relaxed. They escorted us to the changing room, which was immaculately clean and included a shower, restroom, sink & a steam room (also very clean. Not a speck of mold in sight! ) My mom got the 50 minute oxygen facial in one room while I got a 50 minute prenatal massage in another. Afterwards, my mom couldn't stop raving about how bright and refreshed her skin felt. Since she lives nearby, she's hoping they make some sort of club or membership so she can join and go a lot more often for facials. I noticed some of her sun spots were noticeably lighter after her facial too. My prenatal massage was amazing!! Even though I'm on my 4th pregnancy, this is the first prenatal massage I've ever received. I might be addicted! Mikki has magic hands, and clearly her 30 years of experience has made her an expert on the pregnant female body. I thought my legs were getting too chubby this pregnancy (more than my previous pregnancies). Nope, turns out I'm just lacking prenatal massages lol. My legs were so slim the whole rest of the day, and they didn't ache at all like when I first arrived. I felt revitalized walking out of that massage! It was amazing! I didn't even feel like I was pregnant haha. Mikki has such a sweet, calming demeanor. It was very easy for me to relax and recharge. I'd highly recommend her services. The Spa also has a great location right in the heart of downtown SJC. My mom and I took a short walk to lunch afterwards. It was a great afternoon. I can't wait for my next visit to The Spa At The Mission!

Tina was also attentive throughout my spa day, encouraging me to stay and relax a while after my massage. Lynette was my masseuse and she knows what she is doing! I added on the cbd and aromatherapy to my 90mim atone massage. There's a small steam room and shower- they seem to do a great job at staggering appointments so it does not get overcrowded! BONuS- you can receive Mariott bonvoy points!!

The spa looks very nice and they have a lap pool that is outside so you can lounge in the sun here if you choose to. The gym had a lot of new equipment. I think there was suppose to be a co-ed hot tub but I think it was closed. This is the kind of place where one has to open doors for the big reveal. I opened one door and lucked upon the Ladies' Lounge that offered orange-flavored iced-H2O, teas, almonds, raisins, newspapers, and oversized chairs covered in the same texture that many teddy bears bear. Pluscious! I opened another door to my new crush: a steam room with eucalyptus/menthol vapors. The aromatic sauna was equally lovely, and I like that it is compact, clearly only for one or two, so the concept of someone coming in to crash my party was put to bed. (The potential "she" couldn't fit while my buns and hams were splayed across the seat.) :-p The temperatures of each room? 85-degrees of perfection. I would've partaken in the waterfall-backed Jacuzzi had two naked others not beat me to it. Given that K-Town spa rules are not en force, I wanted to take no chances. (At a Korean spa, it is imperative that one scrubs like he/she were a soot-covered Oliver Twist prior to dunking his/her un-exfoliated body into public waters.) Door number tres: I discovered the handicapped shower, complete with seat and detachable shower head. Here, I had a serious K-spa moment, scrubbing down with the complimentary mini-loofa like this would be my last shower. The crème de la spa: Spa Gaucin products met my skin like velvet would. The shower is equipped with signature shampoo and conditioner, bath gel, and shaving cream. Yes, a personal razor is provided as well. Back in the primping area, Spa Gaucin lotion and talc are salve to longing fingertips. And about those other reviews that compared this swankalicious spa to Burke Williams? Haha, right! Been to Burke. Doesn't compare! The only way I could see such a contrast is if one is not a guest of the resort. I mean, you *are* here because you're *staying* at the St. Regis, right? O_O I was pure silk as I floated back to my room to sit out on the veranda and soak up the golf course view. Getting my 'hiatus' on!
