We booked on a Monday, so it was relatively quiet at the hotel, but people were still around given there was still some summer traffic. The property is beautiful, right on the beach, overlooking the water, with an open concept so the ocean breeze just blows through the hallways. The spa is tucked away into the resort, with a nice patio circled by olive trees. Inside, it's serene, quiet, and so relaxing. When you book a treatment you get access to the entire facility throughout your treatment and during the day. Both the men and women's spaces have steam rooms and their own jacuzzi's, along with separate private patios. As for our massages, they were incredible. The therapists were real pros, Martha worked with me and Danielle worked with my wife. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and did such a great job. We are already talking about when to book a second visit. All-in-all, it was an incredible visit at a great facility! Everyone was friendly and welcoming and going during the week was awesome allowed us to have a truly quiet experience.

Immediately, the entrance/valet was so chaotic, dozens of golfers unloading, no traffic control and barely an acknowledgment when I pulled up with my car after waiting. Heading to the spa, the reception was awkward. Myself and another guest were shown the amentities at the same time. The locker area is so small so it felt strange when the attendant gave us two neighboring lockers in an already very small area, and she knew we weren't together. The indoor sauna is tiny, 2 people max, if you sit. One person couldn't even lie down. There was also no cold plunge. The spa pool is off the gym and to my surprise had absolutely no attendants. Trying to get the umbrellas open took me and my friend a few minutes of struggle to pop open. I was under the impression we would be able to have lunch by the pool but that was not the case. I maybe saw 2 attendants throughout the whole day in the spa itself. The massage itself was very nice, but didn't make up for the rest of the sub par things that day. Oh & the parking validation didn't even cover the whole cost, it's still a $15 charge. If you're looking for a spa day at one of the resorts here, save your searching and go to the Montage!

The girls at the front desk Bre and Sarah was so nice and sweet...After my massage I asked them to help me find out about booking a corporate event for my company at the Ranch...Had an email within the hour outlining the program..again amazing to know that someone heard you and actually made an effort to help. So back to the good part my husband and I had a 90 min. couples massage with Alex and TJ as our masseuses we were both so happy and relaxed. There was a couple questions asked in the beginning, but after that, zero communication. I told her where I had issues, one being my neck which wasn't focused on at all, and the little work I did get my neck now feels worse. For context, I'm not a whimp, I love a deep tissue massage and have had 100's of Thai massages...this was just painful with no form of relaxation at all. When I did ask for less pressure, I didn't get it. I honestly was so uncomfortable the entire time & so uneasy, and to top it off...they stopped 15minutes early...not that I wanted it to be any longer, but if you pay for 90 minutes, it should be 90minutes. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. One thing I really appreciate is that when you book a 90-minute massage, you actually receive the full 90 minutes, which isn't always the case elsewhere. The therapists are highly skilled, and my therapist, Paris, is outstanding. They also maintain a professional environment and make it clear that inappropriate behavior is not tolerated. I really respect and appreciate that level of integrity.

One way you can tell a professional massage place from a hole in the wall asian massage parlor is they give you a form to ask what areas you would like worked on or are causing you pain; another is that you sign about your medical conditions. The massage took place on a dressed up floor mat design. I felt warm enough and comfortable enough but was not used to being so low to the ground. I remember Eiko, the massage technician, beginning with my feet and washing them while I laid face down with a towel cover. She proceeded to work my legs and back. Her hands are smooth and strong. After working my back and arms she had me turn over to face up and worked on my head. I got an excellent scalp massage. The work she did on my lower neck was great too and was just what I needed for my computer neck. I don't know what kind of oils or lotion she used but it was good and I felt clean when I left. Five stars. She takes credit cards and has a loyalty program card that if you get 10 massages the 11th is free.
