I love the things they sell, but holy crap it's expensive. Even their sale racks are ridiculously pricey.

*late review* A couple months ago, I had placed an online rental order for Epic Mountain Gear down…read morein Littleton, CO. Upon pickup, I was given the only board they had left which reached above my forehead. I am not an advanced snowboarder, by any means.. Luckily I was told I could possibly exchange my board for a smaller size at their sister rental company, Breeze Ski Rentals (base on availability). I contacted Breeze Ski Rentals the following morning and spoke to Leilani* (sp? I hope I got the name right), who advised me she has a couple board options that may be more fitting for me because the one I received was wayyyy too big. I showed up to the rental site and I waited maybe 5-10 mins in the big crowd before I was spotted by Leilani who addressed me by name!! Not sure how she knew it was even me!! She was great-- full of energy and very efficient! The exchange process so super smooth and seamless. I was with her for no more than 5 minutes before she had me out the door with an appropriate size board!! She let me know I can return the rental back to Epic Mountain Gear when I was done, which was a plus!! :) Thanks sooooo much, Leilani!! You're such a lifesaver. Your service was really impeccable!! [please provide her correct name if I was wrong so I can edit this, hahah]

Friendly service. Rentals. Gear adjustments. Clothing and accessories for sale too…read more One of the few stops on your way up to the mountain resorts. Shares space with a Starbucks as an added bonus! Most resorts you'll be visiting or staying at will have a similar rental and gear setup. Or you'll bring your own from home or back down in Denver. Customer service here is top notch and you won't feel rushed browsing or asking questions like at most resorts. In a pinch Breeze can get you a new pair of goggles or gloves and it's location means you won't pay out of the nose. Lots of gear for sale and you can reserve online for ease when you arrive. Maybe you forgot thick socks or a jacket? They can hook that up for you too. Don't forget sunscreen or sunglasses for those strong Colorado UV rays. They also offer a military discount which is pretty sweet. If you turn in gear early they'll refund the price difference too. Honest. Efficient. Friendly.

On a recent trip to Denver, we…read moredecided to do the ski thing for a day at Winter Park; hailing from Tennessee, you would correctly guess that we had no idea really what to do or get and how to prepare (outside of some help from ChatGPT). In our quest to find rental clothing, we came across Mountain Threads and Jared, and I am absolutely certain that it made our ski experience that much better. Jared was responsive, helpful, and kind - both on the phone and in person. He opened the shop early to accommodate our ski time - which was incredible - and $40 for all of the rental wear was a solid price. Easily a 10/10 - you won't go wrong here!

They recommended Mountain Threads, and I could not be more satisfied with the service I received. I called the day I arrived in town/the night before I was to ski. I spoke with Jared who was incredibly helpful in identifying the gear I needed. Further, Jared walked me through a timeline for leaving Denver, stopping by the shop to try on gear, and making it to my ski lesson on time. Throughout the process Jared was accommodating and generous with his insights. The price point was incredibly competitive - jacket, pants, goggles and gloves for $40. I believe a helmet could have been included, but the ski park included a helmet in their equipment package. I would recommend Mountain Threads without hesitation.

Spirit Halloween - No sharks, not even a headband fin!

I was in the neighborhood so I stopped in. It is open but still stocking, a large semi truck in front still unloading. Staff was friendly and working hard at unpacking. They had not seen anything shark related but I looked through anyway as suggested. Mostly what I saw was very commercial tie-in to media topics, games, movies and tv show characters. Nicely packaged and displayed. Moderate prices, but more than I would have paid back in the day for my kids' costumes. We were more of make it ourselves types. But this is what I see as common for parties and trick or treating these days so it's a viable option for common requests and one stop shopping. I will also mention that there are costumes grouped together for the very young set, kitties. ballerinas, cowboys and bunnies and the like. And also, a good selection of adult costumes for parties, and priced accordingly. I did eventually locate what I was looking for at my good old standby, Target.

Like... so... kind of creepy or just plain gross, plastic smell and weird semi sexual costumes that make most of us both turned on and repulsed simultaneously. Plastic axes with a sharp seam that shows where the two pieces came together in production. Rubbish. But also a sense of fun and the true joy of what Halloween really is. An opportunity to be both trashy and child like. Wow. Aren't we lucky to live in a country where we can have a place like this to throw our anger and fear at? I'm stoked there is a pop up store that sells nurse outfits where if the nurse actually wore that, you ask for a different unit because she's not taking the job seriously. No judgement, it's just your body and you deserve the best. Anyway, Happy Halloween everyone. Cherish this place.
