The bedroom is tucked nicely away down a hallway from the main living area. The patio is accessible from both the bedroom and main living area. The kitchen is centrally located. The in unit washer and dryer are located right next to the spacious closet. I cannot comment on the other units but the one bedroom upgraded apartment is great. Neighbors: Neither great nor terrible in the nicer part of the apartments. It is my opinion that single people with good incomes are placed in one part of the apartments and people with children or bad incomes are placed in another but I cant say for sure it just seemed that way to me. So if you were in the nicer part the neighbors were ok. If you were in the not so nice part then the neighbors were a bit much. Parking: One reserved spot but the not reserved spots are tiny and there are not enough. Have to buy your own clicker for the gate that encloses the community and it is usually in disrepair. Amenities: Pool, hot tub, free gym (Pool is in ok shape) Management: This is where these apartments fail. The management is very friendly when you sign up but once you are in they treat you like just another apartment number. I was referred when I moved in and then they tried not to pay the referral. I fought with them for a couple weeks and they eventually paid it. My cousin lived here for years and was well aware when monthly rent was greatly reduced for new residents but they would not give him the same deal when his lease was up. All in all it is ok because of the bad management, good single upgrade apartment layout, central location but bad neighborhood.

After living in the far east valley for the better part of 8 years I grew used to the quiet and mostly crime free living environment of my surroundings. The thought of apartment life unsettled me. After looking for months at many different apartments, I stumbled my way to Lexington on Central. My first thought was that these must be condos as they have a condo feel to them. With further investigation I discovered they were apartments for rent. After looking at what Lexington on Central had to offer, to my relief, my search was over. This gated, Clean & quiet complex was just what I was looking for. Yes, super quiet, right in the middle of uptown Phoenix. The complex has a weight room, spa, pool and an entertainment facility that you can rent for parties. Lexington on Central is also just steps away from the Light Rail. If you are looking for bargain accommodations , these will not be for you as rents are spendy. Spendy or not, sometimes you do get what you pay for.

Management has been unresponsive to multiple…read moreconcerns, with emails and phone calls often going unanswered, including attempts to contact the regional manager. My biggest concern is safety. The emergency access gate is frequently left open, allowing public access to the gated community. Our apartment was also the subject of an attempted break-in, resulting in damaged personal property. Despite the property advertising security, security personnel are rarely visible. No one was aware that we lived at the property, which suggests the incident was a broader neighborhood-related issue. The lack of communication and ongoing safety concerns have made this a very disappointing living experience. They upper management at the Lex also did not look into our situation. Upper management waited 60+ days for us to move out to respond and acted like they never saw my multiple emails, even though everyone was CC'd in the emails. They have no customer service at all especially when it comes to upper management. Would not recommend living here at all!!

I did not have any problems with leasing staff like some other older reviews mentioned. I wasn't charged any extra fees when I moved out like some older reviews mentioned, but I also very thoroughly deep cleaned my unit. Overall, this apartment is a good place to live for the price, considering the nearby apartments are increasing their prices like crazy. Pros: - large units, nice layout - nice pool & lobby - no monthly parking fee - nice location - clean - good value for the price - computer & printer in lobby Cons: - parking fills up, have to find somewhere else to park if you come past 9 pm - extremely thin walls and floors, may get noise complaints if you have guests - no package lockers, packages are just dumped in a small room & sometimes takes forever to find yours - could have a better coffee machine in lobby, sometimes coffee is not stocked

Renters beware. This community may look beautiful from the outside, but my experience raised…read moreserious concerns about guest parking and towing practices. I was delivering groceries to a disabled resident living in an ADA-accessible apartment during the evening after the leasing office had already closed. The resident instructed me to park in the "Future Resident" parking area because nearby street parking was completely full and there appeared to be no reasonable guest parking available. I was away from my vehicle only long enough to walk from the keypad entrance, through the property, up the elevator, and deliver three bags of groceries to the resident on the second floor. By the time I returned, my car was already hooked up to a tow truck. When I ran over to explain the situation, I was told I had to immediately pay $100 or my car would be taken to the tow yard. I explained I was assisting a disabled resident and had only been gone for a few minutes, but there was no flexibility or warning given. The signage regarding towing was not clearly visible when entering the property at night, especially compared to the much brighter and more noticeable leasing office signage. The leasing office was closed at the time, and there did not appear to be adequate parking for the size of the community. It honestly felt like tow trucks actively monitor the area waiting for someone to park briefly. In addition, the hallways had a strong odor of animal urine during my visit. I encourage future residents and visitors to be extremely cautious about parking policies here and to fully understand where guests are allowed to park before stopping, even briefly.

It's coming up on a year of this. It sucks I have to move again. But this is affecting my mental health BAD. Not getting quality sleep. If I'm lucky I'll get a day or two a week 10/1 - it's honestly crazy to hear someone run across the floor with heavy feet before 7am And just dropping things on the ground that early in the morning. Even the day before trying to take a nap after a long day of work, and being woken up multiple times to loud thumps. Not just the heavy foot steps. But everyday they drop multiple things on the ground at the most random times. 9/28 - the loud thumping continues. What's crazy is most people that live here are adults and seem professional. It's like angry steps and a lot of bangs randomly. And furniture moving. Not sure what's causing them to create such loud noises. And today it's just continuing. Loud thumps. For the last few hours. Like someone is catapulting off furniture. Like grow up fr. That apartment is giving untrained adults with no respect for people around them. These apartments are too nice for this ratchet ghetto behavior 9/23: we love getting woken up in the morning at 4am on a work night to a loud drop. Shoot. I thought I missed my 9am meeting for a brief moment. Nope. It's just them. 9/24 continuing to drop heavy things on the floor late into the night. It's a daily occurrence. Just loud thumping and dropping of items on the ground that shake ceiling. I can't get more than 24 hours of peace. It's absolutely crazy. Mind you, I have my white noise on. And I still hear them. It's really just the constant walking back and forth with heavy feet too. They are pacing, up and down, up and down. Not going to another room doing something. But just back and forth, back and forth, back and fucking forth. It's driving me nuts. I am loosing my mind The week of September 13th through the 20th. Unit 651 wakes up at 5:45 am and heavy stomps and drops things on the ground all week. It's like they start their day working out and doing jumping jacks. They do this for hours. I don't get much sleep living below them. All 5 work days I've been woken up at 6am with stomping and heavy objects dropping on the floor. They pace back and forth starting from 6am on. My favorite part was on Sunday, when they started their pacing at 5:45am. I really hate living here. I am only getting 4 or 5 hours sleep a night and it's really starting to affect my mental health. Living under someone that is really loud is taking a toll on me. Feels like there is nothing I can do about it. I do like the office staff as people and the maintenance people do their job well. But the quality of life you can have living here seems really dependent on if you live on the top floor, or live below someone with common sense and curtesy for others. I hate living below apartment 651 I think they are horrible people. They are the loudest between 11pm and 9am. Getting up around 6am to walk back and forth for hours. Drop heavy things on the ground. They slam doors upon leaving or coming back. They seem like they like to go out late night so they come back home and are extremely heavy footed. They have random late nights where they are just dropping things between the hours of 2 and 5am. I can't get quality sleep here. I honestly cannot wait to move. I just feel like 651 are really inconsiderate people. I don't wish them the best.

As far as the good goes, it's painted pretty colors, and the grounds and pool are generally clean. Maintenance makes repairs in a timely manner most of the time (even though some of our requests, like to fix our towel rack that spontaneously fell out of the wall, were not). And yes, things spontaneously break. And the bad: the place is populated with really sketchy people and they have a problem with crime. Both of our cars were broken into on more than one occasion (in the past year) and the complex had a problem with a peeping Tom for an unacceptable length of time. Management assures you that there is a "courtesy officer" around daily, but I have not seen them around our area of the property. I do not feel safe walking around the complex after dark due to these incidents. Our apartment very likely has a mold problem, which is evident by the moldy smell that crops up no matter how much we clean, and black mildew has to be scrubbed out of our bathroom with bleach on a weekly basis. Management assures us we do not have mold, but have not tested it. The office staff is often gone at strange hours and need a retraining course in customer service.

Homeless people live on the train tracks north of the complex and under the bridge to the east. Sometimes they sleep right outside the complex. Some are polite and fine to be around, but others are mentally ill or on drugs. You'll see dirty needles around the grounds outside the complex. I've even seen one inside that was thrown over a fence. It isn't uncommon to hear crazy people screaming at the top of their lungs for no reason. The front gate breaks a lot and spends a lot of time completely open. trespassing and break ins are frequent. There is 1 parking spot per unit. Your other parking option is 6th Ave. it's isolated, poorly lit, and covered in glass from bottles of booze and broken car windows. The next issue is noise. In building 3 you live next to a loud scrapyard and close enough to the train tracks for your walls to shake when they pass by. The trains primarily come through and blow their horns between the hours of 2 AM - 7 AM. In buildings 2 or 3 you'll get 24/7 traffic and siren noise from Lincoln st and the 7th avenue bridge. The complex is filthy. There is dog poop everywhere, including inside the buildings, and it takes a long time to be cleaned. The units and appliances are outdated and poorly designed. For example, the Wi-Fi router is located in the bathroom closet, so you need to run an Ethernet cord through the bathroom. There is no temperature setting in the dryer, the dishwashers leak, and there is no ice or filtered water dispenser in the fridge. The elevators also frequently break down and stay broken for long periods of time. The new management is bad at solving problems but good at finding ways to squeeze every penny out of the residents here. As an example of how little they care, the zip code, complex name, and management company listed on the sign out front are incorrect. They also came up with a scheme where if you are 1 day late paying your rent, they completely block you from making payments and charge you late fees every day after. The only payment option is cashiers check (very fun when your work hours begin when the banks open and end after they close). If the cashiers check isnt for the entire balance including late fees, they reject it, make you get a new one, and continue charging you fees the next day.

It's labeled as luxury, but the cleanliness, professionalism, and luxury end after the lobby. To summarize, staff is sexist, racist, and dismissive. The property is underwhelming and dirty. I've attached pictures of pet waste and human trash left in the common areas of the apartment for reference. Please note, I took these pictures several days after first seeing the waste but management didn't care to send maintenance to clean.
