I called The Right Choice for an estimate to remove the wood siding from our two story house and replace it with stucco. I didn't really want stucco. I wanted river rock on the entire front of the house, upstairs and down, but figured it was out of our reach. Leo came to give the estimate and in the course of conversation, this came out. He took a look and within minutes showed me how possible it was for us to do the river rock. They removed the wood siding, placed a river rock veneer on the entire front of the house, painted the rest of the house and trim, demolished my concrete walkway and flower bed and replaced it with a new front porch made of pavers and cut a path through the grass to give us a walkway with steps down to the sidewalk. Leo has been amazing to work with. He really went above and beyond. I had some anxiety through the process because we were spending a lot of money and I wanted it to be perfect. He communicated with me on an almost daily basis and each conversation calmed my anxiety. They brought samples of rock and paint swatches. When we narrowed the paint colors to our final choices, Leo had the painters paint large swatches on the back of the house so we could see how the colors would really look. We were also able to hold the rocks up to the paint colors to see the various combinations. Our front porch light had to come off temporarily. I asked if I bought a new one could they put that one up instead. This was no problem. I wanted to replace the lights on the back patio as well, but it turned out they didn't need to remove them to do the painting. Leo told me to buy the lights I wanted and they would replace them at no extra charge. When it was time to put my old doorbell back on, I regretted that I hadn't asked if I could replace the door bell, but I didn't ask because I figured it was too late. Before they put the old one back on, Leo thought to ask if I wanted a new doorbell. He suggested the Ring one with the camera. I didn't know what to get, so he found one on Amazon, sent the link and I bought it. I didn't know how to set it up on the app on my phone, so Leo did it for me. Jorge, who was in charge of the rock work and pavers was also amazing. He told me he tries to put as much care into the customer's home as he would on his own. I found him to be true to his word. His workers paid attention to detail and cleaned up after themselves every day. They were polite and respectful. At the end of the job, I came home from work as one of the workers was cleaning up. I believe his name was Arnulmo. He was hosing off our roof. I mentioned there was rain in the forecast. He told me that was why he was washing the roof off. There was dirt and dust up there from the cement. He said rain would wash it down and make a mess. He was washing it down so he could clean up the mess. The experience of working with this company was a good one. Leo did everything he said he would do, and then some. I highly recommend this company. read more

My husband called Benjamin they sent over the same landscapers to "fix" the holes in the turf a month or two after that we had the same problem! The 2nd time they sent someone over and they so called fixed the issue? On March 11,2025 of this year there about 4-6 holes in the turf again. Super frustrating how we kept having the same issue with a landscape job that was done 2 years ago. My husband messaged Benjamin pictures he requested to see the holes in the turf those were sent on May 07, 2025 my husband then messaged Benjamin again on the 31st of may of this year letting him know he hasn't heard from him and when did he plan on reaching out to fix this ON GOING ISSUE! He responded on June 3, 2025 stating he would call but there was no call received from Benjamin June 22, 2025 at this point my husband is frustrated there is absolutely no communication or urgency from this company. Benjamin stated he would send someone out to come "look" and fix the turf again. By June 30th, 2025 my husband messaged Benjamin letting him know his patience is running thin NO ONE SHOWED UP UNTIL THE 3rd of July. Since July 2025 the Turf has been fixed for the 3rd time we shall see if the holes reappear. Our other issue was the decomposed granite from the beginning they promised to compact, level as needed but when we spoke about the leveling we told them we wanted it 3inches (EVEN) at least all around the barrier they placed was a kick/ step away from showing. The DG was supposed to be compacted with heavy duty glue and our dogs would not be able to dig through it and it's now nothing but sand in our backyard! Benjamin messaged on July 9th, 2025 stating he would go over the damages my husband messaged him August 13& 26th, 2025 with no response from Benjamin. On the 27th of August Benjamin stated he was working on a time and date for them to come out and see the damages. My husband let Benjamin know to keep him in the loop and Benjamin stated it wouldn't happen again he would keep him updated stating a lot of his workers are out of town. Today September 30th my husband message Benjamin letting him know it's been a month since he last updated him he also let him know about a new issue he had the EV charger installed was not working. Benjamin messaged my husband stating that the DG doesn't fall under warranty due to it being more than 12 months since the work was done which makes no sense since we have been letting them know about all these issues since they started working on our yard! Via the Right Choice, I was able to secure enough non-collateral loans to finance new Owens Corning roofing and Cool-Life paint. Also, double pane windows upgrades. I previously had the house painted 15 or so years ago with a cheap water based paint, but learned that doing so meant that on a stucco house on a hill, cracks would be evident in less than three years. Also the paint color faded in about 5-6 years. The Right Choice recommended a higher quality Lifetime Plus Cool Life paint, an acrylic resin paint which is thicker with flexibility that not only withstands temperature variations but also minor cracks. I'm confident that this paint will last much longer than a water-based paint. The Right Choice also took care of replacement of compromised plywood on the roof and finished it off with high quality shingles by Owens Corning. The quality of the paint and roofing work done by the professional crew was good enough to make me feel good about replacing 3 sliding glass doors and 9 windows with double pane windows all installed in less than seven hours. I live only three blocks from a major freeway and am stunned at how much noise is blocked by the new windows. Also, it was 85 degrees outside today, and for most of the time the sun was hitting the house, the interior was significantly cooler, by approximately 8-12 degrees across the afternoon. The quality and of work and materials, excellent communication and speed of the work completion was all one could ask for. This was a simple construction of two cinderblock walls that took over six weeks to complete. There was a 10 day period. Where no one even showed up and often when they did there was a single person that sat around and did not work. The wall was of good construction, but as a value, I felt that they charged more than other Masons and I was willing to pay it because I felt that it would be constructed faster and in a professional way. The subcontractor tried to leave debris from the construction of the wall, and I withheld the final completion amount until he towed away the dirt. Well they finally did it. It took some time but we have new flooring. Honestly it looks great and the people they sent over did a lot of corrections and they changed all the flooring and the molding. It was a bit inconvenient since I'm on my own with a one year trying to run around but it needed to be done. It took maybe three days not to bad they move everything and try to place it back in it's place as nicely as they could. They made sure my dog didn't get out so that was helpful too. Also they made sure that they closed the door so the AC would work and the house stayed cool. I'm happy they brought in new people that know what they were doing. I asked for a reroofing estimate. Simple - got a time and date. Then I got a text! The dispatch refused to come to the house for an estimate because MY HUSBAND wouldn't be present. I told them that I was the homeowner and that I was solely in charge of this project. They stated that BOTH homeowners have to be present "according to Contractor's State Licensing Board rules" (which is a total lie - such code does not exist). I'll start with this.. I've been home with an injury which has kept me from doing the work myself. I got a flyer for this company. I called and Leo came out to give me an estimate. I had a lot of dirt because I had my above ground pool set into the ground about 18". Originally I just wanted the area around my above ground pool cleaned up and rock or pavers set, but Leo said they could just take care of the rest so I wouldn't have to worry about it later especially since I was injured. I was pre-approved for the work and they came and took care of it in one day. Now here is where I have a problem. Leo said they would remove the dirt dug up from the pool, dig down about 6-7 inches, lay weed barrier, setting sand, and then the gravel so everything was nice and level. What they actually did was remove the dirt I had dug up from the pool, did not dig or remove any additional dirt from the flower beds. They did put down the weed barrier but used the rocks to fill in all the uneven areas. So in some places there are a ton of rocks and in other areas I can see the weed barrier. I won't even get started on the setting sand. Basically what they did in one day, I could've done In a few months. That's my point. I would've done a better job had I not been hurt. Now back to the financing, Leo said there's a problem with my financing because I don't make the amount that I said I did. He told the finance company that I made $15,000 a month. And my response to that was if I made $15,000 a month why would I need financing. That in itself has been a nightmare for me. I was bounced around with the financing and ended up with FORTIFI. THE WORST FINANCIAL COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. They do not listen, they wanted balances for my retirement, they wanted my paystubs to reflect what THEY WANT TO SEE, they do not respond to emails, then they act like it's your fault they didn't receive the information THEY WAITED two days to ASK FOR. Beth Carrillo was snarky, and unprofessional. She refused to listen. I literally had to kindergarten explain my situation to her and STILL she wanted something else. I have never in my life been rude or disrespectful to anyone with a business matter. But she's the very first person that has ever made me yell at them over the phone. I could not take it anymore so I paid for the landscaping with money I had set aside for repairs to the inside of my home. I had water damage back in May. I do not recommend The Right Choice unless you verify EVERYTHING BEFORE THEY START THE WORK and you have to make sure they do as they said they would. We hired this company to remodel our backyard. (Tree removal was not included as part of the remodel. We hired someone else to do that job). There are so many positive experiences and negative experiences we had with this remodel so I will start with the positive. The main person that worked with us was very nice and helpful. He was probably the only person that made the experience better. He was responsive, respectful, and listened to all of our concerns. He is very friendly and cared about making us happy so I will give him all the credit. Our yard looks a million times better than it did before so I am giving credit where it's due and appreciate all the hard work that was put into our yard by other individuals working on the project that made it possible. To start off, I had a horrible experience with Lloyd who is the person calling and confirming the consultations. Like, why you gotta be so rude Lloyd? He was getting upset when I was trying to reschedule my consultation all because I FORGOT I had a doctors appointment. I wasn't canceling but rescheduling, dude so what's the big deal? Literally was super rude and ended up hanging up on me before I could even say another word. How does he even have a job there? These are the kind of people representing your company? Not cool. I was a little stressed that all the material and trash was left in front of my garage so I was not able to get my vehicle out. It was in front of my garage for about a week so that was one thing that bothered me. It also took a couple of tries to fix things that we did not like which was another issue but eventually they were taken care of. None of the workers were rude and I actually had a nice experience with this man and woman that came and fixed something we didn't like about our pavers. There was some lack of craftsmanship that I wished was paid more attention to and some things that we had initially agreed on but were done and changed without our knowledge. It's as if there was some lack of communication when it came to these things but we ended up overlooking a lot of these issues and just let them go. Of course, when you spend so much money on something, you want everything to be 200% perfect but that's not always the case. Another thing I didn't like was that some of the guys kept going all the way in the back of my yard to use the restroom which was unprofessional. I have cameras so I noticed it really late. There was also some other guy that came out with our main contact to look at what we wanted fixed for the pavers and he was kinda rude and dismissive with the things we wanted fixed so I didn't like that at all. It shouldn't have been that hard to meet our needs especially since we are the ones paying so much money and also the fact that I was never rude not once. It was like pulling teeth sometimes when we wanted things addressed which was stressful for me especially being 9 months pregnant and just wanting things to my satisfaction. I also was not happy that a breakdown of costs was not provided of what was being charged. As an accountant, this is very important to have and I'm still not sure why I let this slide. It is what it is and I already signed everything so no going back now! Lol we really needed our yard done ASAP so I guess that's why I just went for it! However, our yard looks a million times better so like I said, I am giving credit where it's due. I had my consultation with two women and they were complete hustlers trying to upsell everything and quoted me $50K for a $15K max job, a garage to office basic conversion. It could be because I was alone and appeared young that they perceived me as a gullible helpless female, I'm not sure but Beware. Aggressive energy and fast talking, they try to convince you that you need unnecessary improvements. read more
