Calvin drove to us at MetraPark within 10 minutes, tools & replacement chain in hand. Hubby & him got it all in order and back on track for him to compete minutes later and win the Silver Medal! We came from Bigfork to compete in the games, but will spread your awesomeness far & wide.

I've been stopping in over the last week or so and everyone I've dealt with has been fantastic. My first contact was James and he was knowledgeable and honest, then when I came back I dealt with Benny, (I think?), on the sales end and Travis in the shop. Lots of smiles out of these dudes which made for a genuinely pleasant experience. Travis put new tires on for me, (very affordable), and Benny modified my old rack to fit the purchase. I was so pleased with the visit that I grabbed my wife and came back. She test rode bikes for probably close to an hour and they were absolutely accommodating. A trip was made to their warehouse which meant they had to put pedals on a bike color she was considering, so the effort was top shelf. There was a gentleman in a Niners shirt at this point who helped a ton, too. We bought her a killer new bike, a bike rack, (which Benny helped me put on in the parking lot), some accessories, and two helmets. What would have been around a $600 total purchase for the both of us ended up being almost $2000, but I can tell you that on our bike ride after we were glowing about the purchase. A lot of that can be attributed to the level of comfort offered by the store. We tucked in and made it our home for a few hours yesterday, which says A LOT about the place. Neither one of us likes to spend money. This was a big day. I'll be back often for repairs, tune-ups, accessories, and to visit with Travis a bit more about Japanese handlebars. Thanks again, fellas.

REI is what it is: a co-op of all things for exploring, living, and experiencing the outdoors…read more Cold weather, warm weather, hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, there's something here to fill your backpack and your sense of adventure. While this location is smaller than some, they've managed to cram a lot of things inside. Between that bit of everything and the employees there to answer questions and offer help, you should get an idea of what you need. Prices are reasonably consistent with other like-stores, but this location doesn't have the crowds levels of their competitors and that's a plus. However, because some businesses are still limiting the number of customers inside the store, I expect the "free to roam" won't last for long. As much as I like REI, I find it a confusing store in how they delineate sections of the store. There might be camping supplies in one main spot, but things you associate with camping might be over by the hiking things. While you don't have to be a co-op member to shop, there are some periodic "rewards" offered to members and on some goods, a reduced price. The Recreational Equipment Inc. store will likely not be a go-to place for me, only because there are local stores, I prefer; but even so, REI does carry some things I can't find at the other places, and it's always good to have options. For that, I like REI.

This store is a decent size, but in comparison to other REIs it is on the smaller side. The selection was not tremendous. They did have some discounted winter gear, which is what I was after. I would say the prices are as usual, with the exception of the sales they had going on. Now why only 3 stars? I, like many others, have spent $1000's at REIs across the country. My girlfriend and I both have our separate membership, so our household has spent twice that much. I say all of this to say I was thoroughly disappointed by not being left alone at this store. We were greeted probably 10 times each, sometimes multiple times by the same employee. After being greeted, they'd stick by oddly close, adjusting things that were already perfectly organized. This made me move somewhere else in the store just to be alone and think about the purchase I'd like to make. I did end up spending over $100 this day for some warm gear I needed. My girlfriend had several clothing items in her hand and instead of asking if she'd like a dressing room, she was asked if they could take them to the front for her. She said she'd like a dressing room first. Maybe this was a nice gesture to take a load off her hands, but with everything else, I am doubting the intent. If anyone was ready to spend money this day, it was definitely her. She bought a couple things, but we both agreed we were absolutely ready to leave and never return to this store. I've never stolen anything in my life and I felt really weird the entire time I was in this store. Because of this, I will just be going to Scheel's down the road.

I couldn't keep up with my husband as I only had a 6 speed bike. We stopped in and they were very helpful with my needs and cost. I wanted to purchase their Comfort Cruiser, but the manufacturer had been delayed in shipping the battery for the Cruiser. We were so disappointed as we were on our way to Miles, MT a 2 hour drive. Later that night, Mark & Tracy were able to make available the Pedego Boomerang at a price that I was willing to pay even though it was much more than the Pedego Comfort Cruiser. We drove back to Billings, MT, a 5 hour turnaround drive. I took it on a test ride and knew that this would work for me. I am not a great bicycle rider, but felt really comfortable knowing that I could start off slow. I purchased the Bike Lock that if it is stolen, Pedego will replace. A Scout Alarm if someone tries to move it will let out an Alarm through a phone app to notify me. A cell phone holder. A Pocampo Travel Bag "very colorful with Daisies" that sits on the back that will hold my water, wallet, etc. Two days later, we are in Spearfish, SD and found a nice easy paved bike trail. It was windy, but I rode it for 3 miles and enjoyed the easy peasy monitor buttons to change from Level 1 to 2. Looking forward to putting many more miles on our trip across the States. Mark & Tracy are wonderful owners who truly care about their customers and those of us who are from out of State. My husband and I highly recommend their Pedego store in Billings, Mt.
