Hidden in the back of the NoMad is one of the best speakeasy-style bars I've ever been to. The service here is absolutely phenomenal--attentive, welcoming, and genuinely top-notch. The drinks were crafted perfectly, both creative and balanced, and easily some of the best cocktails we've had in Vegas. And then there are the desserts. Absolutely wild--in the best way. The lemon meringue pie, in particular, blew me away. Honestly, it might be the best lemon meringue pie I've ever had. Two medium patties forced together in the most dry pieces of burger and bun you'll ever know. And tasted odd, Cabt place it but just off. The chicken tenders were $22 but you get 4 little tenders. It's been a while since I had the pleasure of hitting up the Nomad Bar. This is honestly one of my favorite bars on the Strip to grab a cocktail. The cocktails are OUT of this world delicious and the ambiance is just absolutely beautiful. We stopped in before a Knights game and my sister in law had set up a reservation for her and her friend, and were able to add a bunch of us to the reservation no problem. I thought that was so nice that they accommodated all of us. They seated us no problem in a lounge type of setting, which was so nice. Our server was spectacular and did such a great job at taking care of us. We also told her we needed separate checks and she was super accommodating with that, too. I ordered the specialty gin cocktail (Nod to Nothing) and it was soooo good and refreshing. Not to mention, just beautiful. I loved it. Another friend got a negroni and his cocktail was rather delicious, too. My husband ordered the smoked old fashioned which was just delightful, too. So good. Seriously a huge fan of the cocktails. We had a couple food items, too, and I got to try the fried chicken which, WOW, I can see why it's a favorite. It was sooo good and the sauce gave it a nice little kick. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the perfect amount of crispy. We also got the fava bean hummus which was also so tasty and delicious. Unfortunately within a few minutes the musician's set was done and he left. We ordered drinks and a cheeseboard. My companions loved their drinks. One of them was called hot lips. I'm unsure of the other one's name. I ordered the espresso martini, which missed the mark, it tasted weak on both the espresso and the spirit side, on a positive note it was very pretty with a beautiful foam on top. The cheeseboard is small. It was either $34 or $37. I can't be sure. I've attached a photo of it to my review. And you can compare with the size of the almonds and grapes. I wanted to find a spot for late night eats in our hotel, Park MGM. Since it was a Saturday night, I made a reservation for 10pm to ensure we were going to have a table. I found that having a reservation wasn't necessary as there was plenty of available seats at the time. I appreciated the chill ambiance. The singing pianist was a fun performer. He had backing tracks for a fuller sound, and he had a huge catalog of popular songs. I ordered an espresso martini, which was fine. I've had creamier, smoother versions of the cocktails elsewhere. The food was considerably expensive for just being bar bites. My husband and I shared the fried chicken, which was basically 4 deep fried chicken thighs with a massive side of avocado mayo. Popped in here and sat at the bar for my post-Bill Burr comic show at Dolby Live next door. Found a seat at the bar without a wait on this busy Friday night at 10:45pm. Fun vibe, good live piano guy singing music- good energy. Played a nice mix of 80s-90s tunes. I sipped on a Golden Road Hefewezian beer while I waited on the Nomad Burger with fries. It was an outstanding tasting burger, and I would give it five stars if it wasn't so ridiculously expensive. The fries were served perfectly hot and crisp and I enjoyed both the ketchup and the French mustard type dressing. Good service. Great choice for a late night, albeit expensive, burger. Roaming around the nooks and crannies of the Nomad as we tried to find our room, we happened upon a piano bar. We decided that we had to stay - we could search for our room later. There were a few couples at tables but the happening place was at the bar. There were two seats left, a sign that we should stay. It was a girl's week in Vegas and we weren't holding back on the alcohol. We were trying different drinks and became enamored with the Sazerac. Our bartender started with a large, clear ice cube that he stamped with the Nomad insignia then proceeded to mix the perfect drink. We liked it so well that we had a second. The drinks were $25 each so we should have rethought that - but YOLO. Unfortunately the bar was closing early that night so our relaxing around the piano was cut short. The next night we decided to visit the Nomad Bar again. This time we were going to get one drink. Instead, we had two drinks each and a large app. Almost $150 without tip. The app was the sampler - a large plate of chicken tenders, tempura seafood, peppers and two sauces. It was very good although a little heavy on the peppers. We went straight for the Sazerac this time. Our drinks were served straight up - no ice. My friend, the Sazerac connoisseur, asked about the ice. Our bartender was newish and she said she made it like the head bartender told her to. The main bartender then came over and told us the story of the drink and how she makes it. Everyone interprets recipes their own way and as long as you can agree to disagree then there isn't a problem. The bar was a little more crowded the second night and we stayed almost until closing - just enjoying the music. The Nomad Bar is the epitome of a classic bar. Its Mediocre Mon again! After an awesome dinner at NoMad Library, we decided to grab a drink across the hallway at NoMad Bar: We were sorry we did. Although the ambiance was nice (they have a live piano player, and the seating is comfortable), the service and pricing leave much to be desired. For example, our waitress Ariana (?) never checked on us after our initial order. It was not that busy. In addition, they charge $2 for mixing soda or tonic water w/ your liquor: WTF?!?!?!?!?! I have been in high end bars around the world, And i have never heard of this practice. You are already charging $24 for the liquor. Then you are going to nickel and dime me for $2 for soda?! I had the Chicken French Dip which was a very large portion (note the Aus jus is much thicker than a normal Aus jus) and the Hot Lips cocktail. The drink was supposed to be smokey because of the mezcal, but I didn't find it to be particularly mezcal forward, and actually preferred it the way it was, like a normal spicy margarita. Thought they could add a jalapeño garnish in the cocktail just for a little more spice. It was busy in the venue because there was a VGK game happening, but the servers waited tables as quickly as they could, all while being personable and friendly. The stylish and oh-so elegant Nomad Bar is located inside of the Nomad Hotel, a boutique hotel within the Park MGM Hotel. Came here per a friends recommendation and I absolutely loved it. The vibes were classy, romantic, and cozy all at the same time. Came in on a Saturday around midnight for a drink and the place was decently busy but the bar staff was super attentive. They have a simple menu of both classic and signature Nomad cocktails but I came here for an espresso martini! It just seemed like the perfect setting for one too. These were by far the strongest espresso martinis I've had! A few minutes pass by and a piano player starts performing some covers of popular songs and had nearly the entire place singing along. It's a very bad sign when you walk out of a place and both you and your dining companion say "That was gross". But that really happened. This was so disappointing. We have stayed at the NoMad and been wanting to try their dining options but never got around to it - or they have been closed. We were excited to finally get to try the NoMad Bar for an early mid-week dinner. We made a reservation and were a little early. We were shown to a banquette table in the dark bar/dining room. Our server was pleasant enough but it didn't feel genuine.. it seemed almost like he thought we were not worthy of this vaunted dining experience. I asked for wine recommendations after ordering a starter of half a dozen oysters and he seemed to grudgingly bring me a taste of the Sauvignon Blanc, which was ok but overpriced for a wine you can get at 7-11, served here for $18 a glass. The oysters were also just but overpriced as well ($27 for six). The presentation is a little unusual in that the mignonette is already applied. But not bad. It was all downhill from there. My SO was planning on ordering the burger, but our server talked him out of that and steered us strongly towards the Wagyu Prime Rib Sandwich. That was not good. The meat was dried out and not tasty. Even with the horseradish cream and the au jus, it was still weirdly dry tasting. Hard pass and $32 to boot. As I'm the oyster lover in this couple, I ate almost all of the bivalves and didn't want a full dinner after that, so I ordered the oddly named appetizer "Seafood Bites" - fried shrimp and scallops but you wouldn't know that unless you ask. This dish was too too much. The fry didn't taste fresh and there was just way too much breading. It was an especially bad tempura. A much lighter hand was needed with the breading and fresher oil. And this was $31. We were both feeling unwell and unsatisfied when we left. This was over $110 before tip for what was an unpleasant and relatively light dinner. Disappointing all the way around. Stopped by for pre-show bites and drinks since we were staying in the MGM Grand. Super conveniently located in the lobby and since we were visiting from the east coast, also super easy to get early reservations. Classy and romantic ambiance - this would also be a great spot generally for date night! I normally don't eat much at cocktail bars, but NoMad had a decent selection of slightly more elevated "bar fare"! The Hat Trick is a great choice for trying a little bit of everything; I think the highlight may have surprisingly been the fried chicken! I also had the shrimp tacos which were also very tasty. Stopped in for a quick "snack" aka I saw that they had Tartare and Yellowtail Ceviche on the menu and made reservations without telling the hubby. We decided to sit at the bar - our bartender was super friendly and took the time to get to know us. He made us some really great old fashioned while telling us about his 6 dogs. The tartare and ceviche were *chef's kiss*, and the portions were a lot bigger than I was expecting (which is always a welcome surprise when you're in Vegas). The tartare came with Fried Garlic (or maybe onions?), which I'm not a big fan of, but it was easy for me to brush the top layer to the side. The space initially gives off a speakeasy vibe and once you are walked through the velvet ropes, you are invited into an intimate yet extravagant dining space. The walls are covered, floor to ceiling, with (real) books. It was beautiful. We walked through the dining space over to the bar, which is nestled on the right side of the room. There is plenty of bar seating and two separate tables as well. I noticed some people eating at the bar, so I wonder if they offer the full menu here. We opted for a Tiki-inspired drink, the Zombie. It came in a skull and was beautifully dressed with a pineapple top. The aesthetics and efforts were second to none, but the drink was lackluster for me. I couldn't really taste much alcohol. It's a typical drink at high end establishments when it cold. She said yes confidently but then adds "oh I can just look at the recipe." Those two Answers negate each other...how can you be good at something you don't even know how to make? I had asked because if she had been honest, I would have just ordered something else...I tried to stay optimistic. She takes awhile because she is reading the manual and brings me something that looks like a cup of tea. I really couldn't drink it that way so I pointed to one option of proper barware. I taste it...It sucks but whatever it's free. I was once a new bartender, maybe she is new. Ya can't win them all. My husband and I are huge NoMad NYC fans, so we decided to check this place out. We quickly discovered that NYC NoMad is not equivalent to Las Vegas NoMad, very disappointingly. For one thing, the cocktail menu is very small....there's only like 8 drinks to choose from (granted, you probably could have asked for any type of regular martini, etc. but I prefer a menu!) My husband ordered the Espresso Martini, which was extremely sweet, and tasted syrupy. We actually had to send it back - they were nice about it though, and got another drink instead. I got the Detox-Retox (blended scotch, aged rum, pineapple rum, coconut water, angostura), which I thought was fine. Not the strongest or most creative tasting drink though. I did think it was cool that their ice cubes have their NoMad engraved on it though! We didn't try the food, but the couple sitting behind us did, and MAN their burger and fries smelled amazing!!!! Alright...so the first time I visited The Nomad Bar for New Years and thought that Daniel was giving us impeccable service because it was New Years Eve. We had the most amazing dinner and drinks, second only to the service and Matt on the piano. Well fast forward to Super Bowl weekend. We had Daniel again and a familiar Matt Newbold behind the keys and we had ANOTHER fantastic time. This time around, we were there for some dessert and a night cap but ended up staying much longer than we anticipated.
