Drink Japanese GNT ($22): Always puzzles me when the actual cocktail directly contradicts the menu's illustration. Quite boozy, so yay. Rather sour though, the strawberry did not come through at all. Self mix from the tonic water can from the ubiquitous Fever Tree. Value: Sub-optimal even for a Strip location. Atmosphere and Service: Would have been higher as the scheme of antique gold and teal, plush upholstery and tall chairs, and the illusion of intimacy were appealing. People watch factor also a plus. Eboni behind the bar was great. BUT! MGM's website for Juniper stated the closure time as 1am and "At Juniper Cocktail Lounge, the vibe is warm and welcoming." I would say the warm and welcoming aspect emanated solely from Eboni. In all other ways MGM lied. Last call was ~12am and, while the DJ end time was claimed to be 12:30am, he packed up at 12:15am. The lights went up at 12:25am. Security came through to clear the space at 12:37am. Overall the vibe was, instead, GTFO. I'm more pissed at MGM's inconsistency rather than the staff. read more

Really disappointed in this place. For a gin bar, the selection is pretty pedestrian, and the staff isn't trained in their differences. In addition, the music is REALLY loud, and it has an intense "party" atmosphere, not a "lounge" atmosphere. It's too bad, because 4 or 5 years ago when I was there, this was a GREAT experience. Management must have made some pretty terrible decisions around it since then. I want to make it clear that the staff is wonderful, and they tried their best to provide a good service, but their hands seem tied by hotel management. This place COULD be the best gin bar in Vegas, but at the moment, it's anything but. Hopefully they realize their mistake and bring it back to where it was 5 years ago. Having heard about this and passed this bar for years, we made the effort to come from our hotel because we wanted to experience a collection of Juniper cocktails and try something different. What we got was a pretty, if not remarkable atmosphere... A phenomenal bartender, whose name I didn't catch but she was a tall woman with her hair in a bun, and a charming manager named Ben What we didn't experience was absolutely anything that provided what was promised. A generic menu, similar to that found in any airport bar, appeared to been provided by the corporate office because it had absolutely nothing to do with gin The charming waitress, who was very pleasant, couldn't even recommend a unique gin drink... She ended up suggesting an aviation... Which is a gin drink that you can get it absolutely any bar anywhere . And I think they just used any old gin We were both surprised and disappointed that there wasn't even an opportunity to have a flight of gins for a tasting Our experience with MGM, including our nearby hotel, is that they are no longer a company that respects and admires its staff Advertising a gin bar that doesn't serve gin drinks seems pretty typical what we've experienced at MGM these days, all talk, high prices, and no action I think MGM is oblivious to the fact that there are a lot of people who are very happy to travel to the Park MGM because it is a totally non-smoking property. I don't claim to be any sort of gin expert but I was excited to go here because it said it was the best gin bar. I ordered a dirty martini with a gin on their menu which they apparently didn't have. When I asked what might be a good gin they have the response was basically they didn't drink gin so couldn't offer me any suggestions. Then when I got my dirty martini it had a lemon twist instead of olives which was pretty disappointing. They also got our water order wrong as we ordered sparkling water and were brought still. The homie Joyce W and I went to Juniper Cocktail Lounge for drinks. Obvi. It's a fun little lounge with true lounge vibes, despite being amid the busy Park MGM Casino Floor. It wasn't busy the night we went and we easily snagged some comfy seats. You can grab said comfy couch-esque chairs or belly up to their bar. It would be great for a date - cozy and dim lighting. If you want a craft beer from the limited selection, an Elysian pint will run you $11. I wish they had a few more exciting beers on tap, but I realize the whole point of this bar is mixed drinks. I'm an easy pour, what can I say!? The cocktails come out in their signature bird glass which is gorgeous so that's your best bet for cute pics. All that being said, no qualms with the Juniper Lounge and I wouldn't hesitate to go again. Especially if it's with Joyce, lol~! read more

If you want that true Vegas, cocktail experience, Juniper is the place just for that! They say Vegas makes some of the best drinks, and I can attest that Juniper really did that for us! Somehow, this cocktail lounge surrounded by slot machines, makes you feel so secluded and fancy in it's own little oasis. We came here post-wedding for a celebratory drink and I was pleasantly surprised that my Little Birdie drink came in... well, a little bird shaped glass! Accompanied by a complimentary snack dish, we thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and Juniper experience. It's a cool place to lounge at Park MGM with your friends or significant other while waiting for your dinner reservation at Bavette's Steakhouse, or while waiting for the club there to open. It's a great Instagram worthy drink! I deduct a star due to the way they charge large parties. They didn't bring a bill but instead used a little portable card reader to charge everyone. Everyone enters the amount they want to pay. My boyfriend and I went last and somehow owed $41 for 2 drinks? It should have been $35ish with tax. This was a logical pick for a cocktail after dinner at Bavette's next door for Valentine's Day. It's a large bar just off of the casino floor of Park MGM. I made a reservation to be safe since restrictions were tighter at that time, but I don't think it was necessary. Getting through to even make a reservation was a huge hassle. The one waitress in charge of serving the entire bar was doing her best. I give her credit for serving so many tables that were spread all across the large bar. Hopefully they'll add a second waitress for Saturday nights soon. The fun thing about Juniper is that some of the cocktails have a show element on top of being delicious. My husband's Maple Old Fashioned was presented in a smoking box. The No Judging Cocktail came in a really fun cup and was lit on fire at the table. They also have local beer which was perfect for the beer lover in the group. The ambiance was enjoyable. It was slightly dark with good music. The bar shelf appears to have only a limited selection of mostly standard brands seen at all Vegas bars, nothing special here. I struck out when requesting a gin martini made with Nolets or Irish Gunpowder or a local Nevada gin. They eventually brought out a martini that the bartender suggested is similar to those gins, however I am pretty sure it was a vodka martini as it had a completely neutral taste. read more

This lounge is located inside the Park MGM , it is absolutely beautiful inside. We stayed at the hotel over new years and this was the best place to be, the music was great, they had a DJ and the drinks are delicious. The service is friendly and very attentive, prices are Vegas strip prices so it's expected to have a high bill. The hostess was the best she made sure we were seated in a timely manner even with it being so busy . The one reason I did not give it a 5 stars was because on new years day we had drinks with some people we met that same day and who had their own tab. They decided to take off and not pay their bill and the waitress called security on us , I was very upset with the harassment they were asking for our room number and didn't want us to leave, keep in mind we paid our bill and are not responsible for others. We refused to give our room number and took off. I didn't think it was our responsibility and they should not be asking our room number, we paid and even tipped well, the waitresses need to ask for a card to open a tab and these things won't happen. read more

This cocktail lounge is located inside Park MGM and is quite beautiful. We stopped in here for a nightcap after a fun night out at On The Record during our staycation. We ordered some simple drinks. I think my husband had a Jack and Joke and I ordered some gin cocktail off the menu. The first drink my husband ordered was a bit strong, but I asked our cocktail waitress if the bartender could remake and they did it without hesitation. The service here was spectacular. There's ample seating in here and just like, you guessed it, a lounge. There was a DJ in there spinning live beats, too, and the vibe and music was a swanky, cool one. It was definitely loud and even though my husband and I were sitting across from one another, it was hard to hear each other. Probably a good spot to take a date that you're sick of listening to them talk haha! Honestly, I wish we could have hung out in here longer, but we literally came right at closing time. It was nice they even still let us in! Also, didn't realize bars closed in Vegas haha. It didn't seem like it was that late for a Friday night. I would definitely return. All of our beverages were potent while smooth and very sip-able. I enjoyed the Maple Old Fashioned while my husband ordered a Maker's Mark Old Fashioned. One of the drinks that deserves special mention for presentation (and flavor) is the Momo. Chrisbel brought the drink out under a smoke-infused dome and swirled the aroma around for all of us to inhale its deliciousness. It wasn't my drink but the Momo was made with Kikori Japanese whisky, peach, fresh lemon, and maple. The smoke added another flavor dimension to this cocktail. I had a great time drinking here by myself! The Park MGM theater is right across the way, so while my concert buddy (my mom) was out gambling, I decided to settle in for some pre-concert drinks. The bartender was so adept in making fanciful cocktails. Of course the price reflected the difficulty and requisite expertise, but I didn't mind watching the bartender at work, and the drinks themselves tasted excellent. Then again, White Claw tastes good to me so don't depend on my "sophisticated palette;" try a drink or two for yourself! So I HAD to come back to Juniper after booking a room again at Park MGM because of the great drinks I had on my first visit, however this past week I wasn't as thrilled. Fortunately I had the same bartender as last time(ROCK??) and he was just as nice and made great drinks, but I had a myVEGAS 2for1 drink reward on my players card and was told that it could not be used for "specialty drinks" and only used for basic cocktails, beer, wine and champagne. I found this odd, as I had no trouble using it on my initial visit and I reread the terms and conditions as I sat there to make sure nothing had changed and found it to be the same as before. I didn't argue though because the reward does also state that "management reserves all rights." If this is the case and they decided to change what the reward is valid for, then I wish they would update the reward. I don't mind spending money on great drinks, however I expected to be able to use this reward to offset the cost of one of my drinks and that didn't happen. Still enjoyed my time there and enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly, attentive service from the bartenders. read more
