We were initially interested in getting an apartment with them, but due to our experience (where we had been strung along for 2 months, lied to on multiple occasions, and vehemently struggled to get a hold of them), we decided against it before even signing the lease. They forced us to pay $720 total for the application and "deposit," and are now saying that there's no way for us to get any of that money back, per "policy." Absolutely appalled by the customer service.

I was visiting a friend at the Golf View apartments in Pleasant Hill Iowa. I came around 6pm at…read morenight with my two children ages 2 and 6. I had never been to the apartment before. I saw no signage for specific visitor parking and as I was walking in. There were people outside and I was carrying my kids. I did not see the one posted sign saying everyone parking there needed a permit. I came out around 11 pm to leave. My car had been towed. My car with brand new tires and most importantly my car with two car seats. I called the tow company they could care less. I called the cops. They can't do anything for civil matters. I had no place to stay. No place I could drive with no car seats. No options for myself and my kids. This is absolutely criminal. I never received a warning. There is no other options for parking and no visitor to the complex would know of these types of rules. This property management owes me a refund of tow charges. An apology for the inconvenience and they need to dig into their deep money grubbing pockets and pour some concrete for visitor parking.

We got flooded at our prior apartment complex and the management at Johnston Heights were quick at getting us a place here! They were pretty quick at taking a look at our dish washer that broke too! I'd recommend this place to about anyone looking for a nice spacious apartment! Only downside is that some of the dog owners don't pick up after their dogs.

No feedback, no way to get a status update (always "pending"). It is extremely difficult to plan a move when it takes several weeks just to find out if you've been approved!! Scheduling movers, notification to existing landlord, packing, etc. is just a huge mystery because you just DON'T KNOW.
