For family of 4, $1700/ mo for 1300 sq ft w underground parking, elevator, and St. Francis of…read moreAssisi Church/School across street may be good. MUCH better deals for flat mates area, esp w only 1 mailbox key! Four lights in bathrooms with ONE switch!Heat lamp is close to door, not tub, and with no HVAC vent-VERY cold in winter! Only outlet by sink, so even space heater didn't help. You WILL miss a laundry room. Not very considerate neighbors. DON'T rent on 3rd floor; halls ALWAYS smell terribly! St. F. PA VERY noisy-even w windows closed, blinds down, and thermal drapes! (Not to mention train.) Much storage space (esp if you are over 6 ft. and can reach microwave and upper cabinets.) If wind is over 10 mph, your windows will shake, rattle, & roll! Good maintenance but sad that 5 yr old building's faucets and towel bars pop off easily, ceiling lights are falling, and even with newer appliances, utility bills were twice as high! Being lied to that there were no highest floor apartments available was bad but I have 'disabled' plates. (Have trouble walking, with severe asthma and stated so at initial tour.) Was given parking space FURTHEST from elevator! (Luckily, someone else had taken it.) Then given one in between, despite several disabled' ones empty AND 5 cars with out plates/ tags in those spots on east side alone. (Now there are 7!!!) Friendly leasing agent who tries but mgr is clueless! Not only did it take over a month to get initial questions, etc., settled, someone stole 1 (of 2) shopping carts 1st month we were there. 2 months later, they bought 2 more. 4 months after that, she thought there were still 4! (And never one when needed). We did get 24 hour package access after several months though. They try to 'add value' with Saturday morning snacks and occasional 'resident appreciation' type socials but why not give winter parking deals, a warmer than 60 degree pool in June, and a car wash-n-vac (more people have cars that need washing than dogs, btw). Having a 'Welcome Packet' with clear appliance, Internet, and recycling instructions would have been VERY helpful and SERVICE-oriented. A 25%, second year rent increase with NO negotiation WAS NOT!!! erin50266@gmail.

This is the third one-star review for this complex. Please understand they are warranted…read more.. I put in an online application for this complex due to its location. When I went on a tour, the people who did the tour were nice. The property and apartments aren't nice and the other apartments in the area are much nicer for less money. This apartment changed the move-in special after I put in my application and said they couldn't offer me the special due to "fair housing laws" (I think she meant fair housing act) even though I had NOT signed a lease. Look for other apartments in the area... There are good options.

Whoever is review bombing saying the walls are paper thin is so full of crap. I almost never hear anything maybe the occasional dog down the hall but never bad or preventing sleep. I live on the top floor as well because it's always a gamble on who's above you. Overall a good apartment complex, 4 stars I would recommend.

Where do I even begin with the problems…read more... Management is a complete joke. MY DOG GOT WORMS 3 TIMES WHILE AT THIS COMPLEX BECAUSE THE DOG POOP PROBLEM IS SO SEVERE. I counted 63 piles of dog poop right by the park that all the kids play at. 63!!!! They have a system where they literally swab your dogs mouth for DNA, but there's still 63 piles of dog poop? I also had to pay a fee to have them swab my dogs mouth because it is a requirement. Another waste of money. Could have at least enforced it! There was ALWAYS trash and glass all over the sidewalks and main walking areas. I called about a champagne bottle that was left on the middle of the sidewalk for 2 WEEKS, and the girl in the office was laughing with her coworker instead of even listening to me. It didn't seem as funny to me considering my dog almost walked all over shards of glass. To leave glass on a main sidewalk for more than one day would be considered poor management.... or even a few hours... so 2 weeks is a complete outrage. Especially when they advertise for children and dogs to live there. No excuse for that. Like I said, management is a joke. Very dirty, I had carpet in my unit that was so worn out that it was coming off the floor. And tons of flies!! It was disgusting!! The poor insulation is no joke either. My heating bill was insane for just a one bedroom. Usually costed me about $150 per month just because it was so drafty and can't stay warm. I will be speaking with the city about their overall filth issue and it's affect on the neighborhood it is located in. So no, I wouldn't ever recommend living here.

(04/28/22) Well... Guess its time to start packing up and…read moremoving. After being residents here at 92West Apartment Homes for the past 3 leases (almost 4 years now.) This grass area is directly under/in front of my bedrooms and patio, it's a nice day finally so I have my windows and doors open to air out the apartment to get some fresh air and to listen to the sounds of nature...I was laying down watching TV and all of a sudden my quiet was interrupted, no more Duck/Geese sounds from the Pond jthats just off to the side of my unit, the birds have stopped chirping and ALL of the Natural Features that I have enjoyed for years past 4 Springs/Summers. This area has Never been used as a "Park" for children, it is used however by the dogs of residents regularly for pooping and peeing. But suddenly today, the lady (possibly a resident) in yellow comes out with her chair and ALL of the toddlers and a few of the tender age children and because of obvious reasons, these aren't All of her biological children, so more then likely running a Day Care Service out of her unit, which is NO WHERE NEAR this grassy area. A few of the older children as you can see are playing football, tag and all are very vocal and Loud. They are also Directly under my Window playing loudly, running up and down the stairs, that are metal and mounted directly to the wall that my bedroom shares, so I get to not only hear the stair activity but feel it as well via the vibrations through the wall and floor. So I end up having to start increasing the volume to my TV so that I can hear the program I'm watching...because as I said, After a very long Winter and Winter like weather extending into Spring, as recently as yesterday...I opened my windows and patio door to get fresh air inside, which I have done every Spring, Summer and Fall during nice weather days and I have Never had this situation happen before since being a resident here. I'm Not closing My Windows or Door to my Unit that I pay an Arm and Leg for, so I call the Rental Office and spoke with one of the employees who has been here since last June, which she advised me and that she's Not going to tell children on a nice day, to Not play where they're playing. So I advised her that I am having to increase my TV Volume, because I shouldn't have to close my windows or doors, so if any neighbors complain regarding my TV Volume, it's due to the fact I have the right to have my windows and door open and should be able to hear and watch a TV program inside my apartment with no Unnecessary, Excessively Loud noise and yelling from an overwhelming number of children playing with NO CONSIDERATION FOR THE TENANTS that live right where they're playing. Since the new management has taken over, there have been questionable quality of people becoming new residents, that don't follow the rules and regulations of the property lease, don't take other Residents into consideration when it comes to the cleanliness of the grounds or mutually shared common areas. Some of the Amenities like the gym, gym restroom have been vandalized that are part of the Rent I pay, can't be utilized... It's SO Disheartening! Oh, let's Not forget they raised my rent last lease renewal $150 more a month, with no improvements made to my Unit and in the middle of a Pandemic! These units are not built with any type of sound barriers in the walls or floors, nor do they have the correct type of insulation for Iowa Winters, the wall around my patio door and patio door every winter, during Sub Freezing temps, gets a 1"-2" Ice Layer, the furnace can't keep up with the thermostat setting, so it just runs and runs and not warming past 72°, so I have space heaters in each room with their own built in thermostat and set those to Assist the main furnace. These aren't the same Apartment Homes in West Des Moines that I moved into 4 Leases ago. 4 years of paying Rent and ALL UTILITIES in Full and On Time Every Month, No Complaints or Write Ups of any kind on Me. I keep my unit Immaculate and follow my lease rules and regulations and have consideration for those that give consideration...well the Property is the same, it's the type of Residents and Management that has changed. I'm not looking forward to having to pack up and move a fully furnished and lived in 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. It will be November, so probably gonna be cold and snowing, I will have just turned 52 years old, I already have Health Conditions and moving is so mentally and physically exhausting, I'm on a Fixed Income...so it will be Financially exhausting as well. I really, really like living here...but too much has changed and not all for the better and I get No Support, Understanding or Consideration for special circumstances from certain management...it used to be apartment managers wanted to work with their good tenants to keep them...how times have changed.
