THE IRREGULARS NEED HELP!
I discovered this musical act during a night out at Food Truck Fridays. I was immediately concerned when the band was not on stage in time to complete a sound check and then arrived minutes after their scheduled start time. The Regulars had some great material and their voices were okay. However, the music was just TOO loud and there were major sound distortions. As long as the music and voices were soft, it was fine but as soon as they increased the sound, things just went south. It felt like I was being repeatedly stabbed in the ear drum.
The most enjoyable part of the evening was during the intermission when we could just enjoy the quiet. During this time we moved our chairs all the way over to the street near the food trucks to escape the noise. This was much better and we could actually enjoy our conversation without having to yell at one another. They really need to do some "fine tuning" and work on their professionalism. What bothers me most about this band is that they feed into that stereotype of young, nonchalant and unprofessional which is unfair to those young bands that really care about their presentation and strive to maintain professionalism.
I realize that professionalism increases over time but "Aint nobody got time for that" and there is just too much talent and competition out there to put up with unprofessional behavior. They need a reality check FAST! read more
