Hated the vibe! Super rude employees and bouncers. No welcoming atmosphere. Just wanted to dance and they ruined the night

And politely ask for families to close tabs & exit for the next adult drag show to start at 9:30pm. I really want this place to continue its offerings so hear me out (below) on why I chose a low star review). Drinks are super reasonable, just as other review posted. And bar staff (and everyone else there for that matter) are extremely friendly and respectful. They offer free popcorn on the backside of the bar (help yourself)! And pizza for the late night cravings. The reason for my 3 stars (should really be 2 but I truly want to promote this place in hopes they keep it going and can pay for a deep cleaning... lol). I get it's a late night spot, but I'm very conscious when it comes to bathrooms. I don't think these have been cleaned in years. If they weren't half as bad as they were at 7pm -- I'd be willing to give it 3.5 stars. Clean them up right and I'd give it an EASY 5 stars. I hope the owners/managers hear me out on this one!

I'm not sure why he thinks that is acceptable behavior. He also kicked my friends out for no reason after refusing service, took the beers out of her hand, and left them outside with no coat. That bartender has white hair, wears shirts a bit too revealing for his age, and clearly does not enjoy his job. I'm baffled that they allow such horrible people with rude behavior to work at FIVE, especially since we had never had a problem there before.

The service was really good with cool bartenders and a mellow vibe. Didn't try the food although it is on the menu. A bit further from campus, the CB seems to be a place catering to a more mature crowd rather than a UW student bar.

We arrived shortly after they opened and it was excellent: great service, great vibes. We were so relaxed. We visited on a dancing night and even though we stayed at our table, it was so fun to see people of all ages, sexualities, and wardrobes coming to and from the dancefloor. Once it got busy, the bartenders were really struggling. It seemed like most of them were new because they kept asking one of the bartenders questions. One of them didn't even know where to find the drink I ordered (it was on the menu, and in the fridge in a can). Once all of the employees are as seasoned as the one they were all asking questions to, I think things will run much more smoothly. It also turned into a big party atmosphere which was fine with us, but many of the tables that were relaxing when we arrived were gone shortly after the music started. So just choose your visit time based on the type of experience you want.

Typical condiments provided: side of basil, chopped jalapeños and bean sprouts; jars of peanut butter, fish and oyster sauce, garlic chili sauce. It wasn't too busy but the bartender did tell us the place gets packed with students after 7-8p for that cheap, delicious pho. There's a menu of a few SE Asian dishes ++ that we'd like to come back and try (e.g. laab, papaya salad). There's also plenty of options for burgers, wings and fried goods ;) Didn't really ask about the beer. The other half had spotted cow (comes in tap and bottled). The service was excellent. Friendly, attentive and conversational 5+ The description of this place is under 'dance clubs'. Which is accurate because there is a dance floor. Didn't stay long enough to dance the night away. There's also the bar, separate seating area, and pool tables. Overall, really good pho and fried egg rolls; excellent service; fun and causal vibe. Unrelated note: next door, Terry's, has gyros! Who knew. And supposedly it's pretty good.

Decided to try this place as they are now associated with the "Juicy Shrimp Shack". Where do I…read morestart? First, the place isn't very welcoming, kind of like going into a barn. Service was OK, but not exceptional. The food - Shrimp Po Boy was pretty good. The shrimp boil was not. The boil is brought to your table in a plastic bag - no plate, no boat or bowl for the shells, no utensils. They do give you some cheap plastic gloves, which if used, make it quite difficult to peel the shrimp as they are slippery. The shrimp was cooked OK, but lacked flavor. I ordered the "House" sauce, "Hot". Not sure if they brought me the correct sauce as it was quite "garlicy" and had very little heat. The flavor of the sauce did not pair well with the shrimp and really didn't flavor the actual shrimp much. The shrimp was head on and not deveined, for anyone interested. There are no sides included with the boil. If you order the boil, a side of fries will cost you a minimum of $5.99. When they give you your bill, they have already added a tip and a charge for paying with a card. Maybe service would be better at some of these places if servers had to earn their tips. Overall - We tried it, but won't be going back.
