We tried a couple apps, and a few different burgers and fried shrimp. Having read about the steak burger, we had high expectations but it fell a bit flat. Others mentioned a sauce, but there wasn't any in ours. The burger with bacon and jalapeño was a banger though! Onion rings and fries were excellent. The curds were good, but I've had better. When it came time to close the check, our server met me as I jumped off my stool. I don't know his name, but gave him a 25% tip. Wish he worked at my place! For the Dells, the price is very reasonable in my opinion. As we were leaving things were lighting up, and getting loud. I got the impression the kitchen was closing even though they say they are open late as the older guy was grumbling about only having two people working. As an owner of a cocktail bar I get that things happen, but I don't like my employees getting upset about it. The younger guy kept his cool - even if he was hoping for more. I do plan to go back for another service and ask about the sauce on the steak burger. Felt weird to talk about it before getting it the way I assume they serve it. For my lunch, I got the bbq chicken wrap, which was great. I got fries on the side which were also crispy and delicious. The kitchen is adjacent to and can be seen from our perch at the bar, which was nice to see our food being prepared. For my cocktail, I got a classic bourbon Manhattan served up. It was pitch perfect. For my dinner, I got the scallops where were saucy and seared to absolute perfection (not something everyone gets right--they do). For dessert, my dining companion and I shared a slice of their peanut butter cream pie, which was, of course--a delight. Chocolate crust meets rich peanut buttery cream pie with chocolate sauce and chopped peanuts on top. Truly, what's not to love? Our server was kind and attentive throughout. Get to it!
