Great service pretty good selection of beers on tap, great local place to catch the packers game. Down-home Wisconsin watering hole.

My bf and I came here for quick "something to do" while visiting Baraboo. We only did the tour, but…read morefor $20 I found it to be enjoyable and knowledgeable. You do get to try up to five tastings of your choice, which was nice since you can double up on a tasting if you really enjoy the taste. Our guide was funny and did a great job providing the information. As far as the cocktails go, I did get a tasty mojito! The cool thing is if you arrive earlier to your tasting, you can bring the drink with during the tour. I love the atmosphere and really enjoyed the tour guide!

What a beautiful location along the river! We would have dined outside if it weren't so windy, but…read morewe still had a great view of the water from indoors. I'm not sure when this place was built, but everything felt clean & new and the seating was very comfortable. The menu had a nice variety of entrees, but we were definitely disappointed that they don't offer an appetizer selection for lunch. My husband ordered the jalapeño chicken flatbread and I went with the roasted vegetable risotto with grilled chicken. We both really enjoyed our dishes and did share so we didn't have food envy. It was really kind of them to offer us a complimentary dessert when they found out today was our 25th wedding anniversary; we selected the bread pudding and it was delicious!! Other than not having apps available on the lunch menu, our only other gripe was that it took forever to get our bill and pay.

I'll admit I was skeptical walking in. The restaurant is attached to a hotel that isn't the nicest,…read moreand the entrance had a strong hotel‑cleaning‑supply smell that made me apprehensive. But from the moment we sat down, it was all uphill from there. The Italian wedding soup was excellent, rich, flavorful, and clearly homemade. The pizza was decent, nothing extraordinary but solid with plenty of cheese. We also ordered the lasagna, the spicy chicken dish, and spaghetti and meatballs. The standout was the spicy chicken: the "spicy red sauce" turned out to be more of a creamy, spicy blend, and it was fantastic. Everything came out piping hot, which I really appreciated. They also bring out warm rolls, and those were surprisingly tasty, soft, fresh, and perfect for dipping. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Despite the rough first impression, it turned out to be one of the best restaurants in the area.

Oh my goodness--I truly felt like I was back in Italy while dining at Mike's! My husband and I…read morefirst met Mike when he was part owner of Mama Mia's on the square in Baraboo, and now he's opened his own restaurant as the sole owner. Mike immigrated here legally from Albania and became a U.S. citizen, and you can taste the pride he puts into every dish--everything is homemade, even the pasta. I had the spicy chicken arrabbiata with Alfredo sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. The homemade garlic knots were mouthwatering, and the salads were fresh and crisp. My friend ordered the shrimp pasta and loved it. I also brought home two pizzas for my family, and they said it was the best pizza they've ever had! The service was excellent, and the restaurant itself is spacious with a great bar area. From now on, Mike's Italian Restaurant will be our go-to spot whenever we're in Baraboo. If you're in the area, give Mike a try--you won't be disappointed!

She wanted wings, the kids wanted "food", and the Milwaukee style pretzel caught my eye as I always wanted to try one. My fiancé wanted to try a sample of a couple beers to decide what she wanted and they brought them out in miniature frosted mugs. This wasn't even for a flight mind you this was for a 0.5oz-1oz taste test. The owner came out with the pretzel (bigger than most people's head) and it was made perfectly and as soft as marshmallow all the way through, moist, and the beer cheese dip was perfect. The Munster cheese curd were genius creamy variation on the fair style cheese curds you normally get (cheddar). The traditional bone-in wings also pleased her and she is picky about her wing. The kids loved the boneless wings and burger as well. We also got an order order of haddock with the potato pancakes just so we could all try it and I have never seen such a perfect coated paper thin breaded fish, and it was so juicy and tender than you didn't even miss the tartar sauce and the potato pancakes were just like grandma used to make. I've eaten at Gordon Ramsey's Fish and Chips in Las Vegas and this is better for half the price. They don't have a massive menu, or "fancy" dishes, but they go the extra mile on everything they do and it shows!

Definitely bar food, not bad but expected more based upon the reviews. A bit of a treck outside of…read morethe Dells, next time will find a place in town.
