Prices are high--even for incomplete items--and there's a serious lack of transparency. I recently looked at a used LEGO set marked "mostly complete." Priced at 25$. When I asked for details, I was told someone counted the pieces, but they refused to share how many were counted or what was actually included. Instead, I got a dismissive comment by the manager about how it sells for more on eBay?? If someone actually counted the pieces, why not be honest and mention it in the description? Is it 100 pieces missing or just 10-20? That's a big difference, and buyers deserve clarity if I'm going to spend 25$ on it. Worse, when I asked questions, the staff were rude and defensive, showing no interest in helping or being honest. It's disappointing and frustrating to be treated that way--especially by a place that claims to serve the community. I'm done. After years of supporting this store, I won't be going back. I won't support rude people who don't care about the community or the customers who make their work possible. I'm starting to question whether this is truly a non-profit store anymore. The shops and restaurants here are really curated in a way that it draws you in, as most of these places are one of a kind in this neighborhood...its really cool! Lots of new places since my last review...especially for all you foodies out there (& myself). Some of my favorite additions are Chip City and Blackbird Doughnuts. More on the way too, Jersey Mikes is coming as well as a new restaurant called ButterBird. The clothing store J Crew is opening soon as well. There's also a lot of fitness places I want to try, esp Rumble Boxing. Also the James Joseph Salon and the Skin Laundry place look cool. I tried on probably 10 wedding dresses in a beautiful private room. Kelly let all my guests pick a dress for me that they loved, and I picked several that I loved. I didn't feel rushed at all. I thought I had found my dress but I held off on buying it because I had a second fitting the next day at a different store. Kelly didn't make me feel obligated to buy anything right then and there which I really appreciated. I tried on another dress I loved the following day which left me very confused. It was mermaid style which I had not tried at Vows because I felt it wouldn't look good on me. I reached out to Kelly again and asked her if I could come in again and try some more dresses in the mermaid style. She was so sweet and accommodating. I went in for a second appointment with her, tried on the original dress I had in mind, and tried on some more in the mermaid style that I saw online, and also some that Kelly pulled for me. I ended up finding the one! It was by Allure Bridals and about $1900 which was within my budget. I ordered the dress and it was ready for pick up earlier than expected. It was very big on me so definitely required a lot of alterations, but it was absolutely stunning and I felt so confident and beautiful on my wedding day. Thank you Kelly!!
