Great pub for a leisurely meal especially if you have children. The large garden is completely enclosed and has play equipment so the children can run around safely while you enjoy a drink. The food is good though if you are a veggie you soon wish there was something other than the very nice butternut and goats' cheese salad on the menu and the pizzas we had recently were greasy.
Inside there are lots of tables and open fires. If you have children with you then crayons and paper will be provided and the staff are very friendly towards children.
If you haven't got children then there are plenty tables round the corner where your quiet meal won't be disturbed by the sight of children tucking in to ice-creams.
You can also take a walk down to the church and around the countryside at the back, admiring Yarnton Manor on the way back to the pub and another pint or a cup of coffee. read more
