So we went to Drysdale's for a company event that took place here…read more It's a tree farm that is known for their Xmas trees that you can cut Some are pre cut as well that you can buy The location is also known for having some scenes of a Hallmark Xmas movie being shot there ...Christmas in Montana The location is popular and super busy You can bring your dog there is you want to as well if you want though it was a bit muddy so you might need some towels down in your car They have a bonfire where you can roast marshmallows and hot dogs There are nice little spots for pictures They have a horse drawn carriage that you can take a ride on and they have a tractor that takes you out to cut trees Overall the atmosphere feels like Xmas The smell of fresh pine there is infectious The event that they hosted for our company was super good Food was good that they served....pizza, burgers, hot dogs, and fries We visited the little gift shop that they had there ....they had a ton of Xmas decor that you can purchase....a bit on the pricy side but it's good quality stuff that you are getting I would definitely recommend this place to check out if you are feeling in that Xmas spirit

Oddly, I can only buy garden items in person at a garden centre but am forbidden to buy them at a Dollarama or big box store while I'm there. Uh okay, fine. With all the craze in the plant community, downtown big box stores are selling out of orchid mix and giant potting soil bags for online pickup. Local garden centres rarely carry stock online and aren't too helpful on the phone either, so you'll have to pay them a visit to pick it up. East End Garden Centre has all you need and more to get your outdoor urban garden started. They have lovely wooden trellises, stones and soil at reasonable prices. I picked up a few bags of veggie soil for only $5.99 for a 30L bag, a better deal than the commonly found Miracle-Gro in big box stores. Potting soil that is usable indoors is $1 more. All the reasons to shop local! If you don't have the room or time to start your seedlings, you can pick them up for $4. I see strawberries, peas, but no tomato plants yet. I came on a Sunday; it was bustling but not packed, so social distancing is possible. I browsed their houseplant section indoors briefly, not too attractive and slightly more expensive than other local shops I frequent. The drawing point continues to be their outdoor gardening and landscaping items, but if you're lucky to spot something nice, you can pick up a houseplant baby as well.

They have a lot of little shops with artisan items, as well as some food stands and a really great bakery area. The place is nicely decorated for Christmas. They also have a separate area which you have to pay for which has some special rides and things for the kids. They do have an indoor market in the back, it also has a fair number of artisan stands, many local vendors. Most are selling Christmas eats, baked goods, but the rest are selling things like candles, ornaments, kitchen, supplies, decorations, etc. there is an area in the back where you can sit and have a hot chocolate and something nice from one of the baked goods stands. Parking is on site, and on the busy days they actually have someone directing traffic. If you're looking for something different and a little less commercial, this is the place to go. Standard entrance is free. You only have to pay for the rides, etc.

They have everything, from catnip, to dill, to tomatoes, garden supplies, fruit trees, and many different kinds of flowers (full or partial sun, shade), mulch, and various rocks. It's always enjoyable to go there, and I even visit there with in-laws sometimes to just look around. It's pretty, and I'll always love seeing how happy the bees are with their butterfly bushes.
