Great ranges!!! Very good staff with fully stocked store! Everything you need in one locations. Ranges are available, clean and functional.

Don't come here to shoot an AK. The 7.63×39 they sell here is complete garbage. I have a well maintained Century Arms C39V2 - ZHUKOV that up until today has shot anything I've chambered. But the ammo sold at this range jammed every single time. The range officer was of course a complete jerk about the whole situation, refusing to admit that the ammo they sold me ($14 for 20 rounds) was the problem, and stubbornly insisting that it was my magizine that was the problem. It was also annoying to have multiple employees snicker and imply that my rifle was the problem, instead of just admitting that their ammo was the issue. They were nice enough to refund me the money I spent for the unopened ammo, but the range fee, and the cost for the box I shot 3 rounds out of was a complete waste. Super frustrating experience and ultimately a huge waste of my time and money. This is definitely a nice range, and the employees are not quite as big of jerks as most of the ranges around this area, and a few of them are actually nice. Just don't come here to shoot an AK unless you bring your own ammo that you know for certain they'll allow you to shoot, and in case you're wondering TulAmmo isn't allowed read more

I've been here a handful of times to use the range. Well kept, ventilated, and clean. Staff generally seem like good people. My wife's mother was looking for a pistol for her first gun so I took her here. The salesman was very professional and helpful. However he did make an error. We asked for the 9mm and even said "we'll take a box of ammo with it" since they said they set aside some reserves for purchases and range shooting. He handed us and rang up the 9mm ammo but then unknown at the time, he actually sold her mother a .380. None of us thought to verify the receipt she it was obviously communicated and received we wanted the 9mm. We also purchased the safety course since she was a new gun owner. My wife recently took a course there and liked it. When her mother picked up the pistol 72 hours later, brought it to her house, she was unable to load the mag with the bullets and was confused. When I looked at the gun I noticed it was a .380. I called and spoke with one of the reps who put me on hold to speak with a manager. Said he can't do anything and he was sorry. I drove up to the range and again expressed my disappointment with the response to selling us the wrong item. The person I spoke to asked for the manager (Julie?) and then returned and said since they messed up they'd be willing to SELL me a box or two of .380 ammo. Like they were doing me a favor. That's it. Nothing else. Why would I buy more product and reward your business for your error. Very poor management and decision making. It's was only $430 purchase, but it's also not a $15 cheeseburger. So you'd expect your $430 purchase to be correct. I really liked this place but a big part of a businesses reputation is how you handle problems when they come up. It builds trust and loyalty when handled correctly. I've recommended this place to no less than 15-20 friends. Now, I will go out of my way to go to another place now and no longer recommend this place. I understand business is good right now for ranges and gun shops with what's happening in our country/world. I hope they realize that after all the panicked people go back to their lives they will still need local loyal customers. This is no way to secure that base so enjoy treating your customers like your in the driver seat for now but if you don't change, the community will only give you back what you've given them. My wife and I go out of our way to support local business but based on my experience buying a gun here here can not recommend this place any longer. read more

Very nice clean and cool shooting range. Nice targeting system so you know how far you are from the target. They do Gun rentals and are very knowledgeable, Jody was extremely helpful. Worked with Scott at the sales counter. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Showed a lot of patients with our questions. Would definitely go there again for the range and buy from them in the future. read more

My wife and I stopped in here after visiting the Bass Pro shop. I can honestly say, it would be hard to find a more rude and arrogant place to stop! Just keep on driving by...nothing to see here! Over priced read more

Great store, fantastic range. Clean, bright and the employees are knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. I live very close to a range, but this is worth the trip. read more

Wow what a beautiful job!! Was definitely worth the wait. Warm welcome, extremely friendly staff. Fred checked us in, so polite and helpful. Mark helped us work the machine for the target, super nice guy, and Roy at the counter, super friendly. Now for the actual lanes. I love that it's WELL LIT, the ventilation is nice. There's a coat rack to hang your stuff up. I love the dividers between the lanes. Like another Yelper mentioned they are wide enough to keep your neighbors ammo casing from hitting you in the face. The lanes are wide and comfortable to fit 2 people side by side. This may not seem like a big deal to others BUT they have a shelf under the table top to put your bags and stuff and THAT IS AWSOME!!! Sadly range 1 was down due to the rotating target holders not working. Technical difficulties I guess. The store inside is clean, HUGE, spacious and neatly organized! They are still stocking shelves but for the things they had out the prices are GREAT! I have been to 4 other places and 355 has very competitive prices I have to say! We love this place and will be returning! Pictures and video will follow! Video won't load, sorry. read more

I took private lesson with Kevin Arias few months ago and he walked me thru everything how to safely use the weapon. Last week I finished my 16 hour course with Kevin and Mike. Great experience, great instructors , very polite, informative and also happy to answer any question from the students. I highly recomend The range at 355. read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. Facility is very clean and well kept. Definitely will be back.

Was so disappointed going back there today with my father and brother. The woman checking us in to shoot was ignorant, arrogant, short tempered, unfriendly, and made a snarky comment about law enforcement. She is clearly an unhappy person and why they have her working with the public is beyond me. The range master snapped at my father and brother 3 times. Uncalled for, unprofessional, and just not friendly. With all this going on right now you'd think any business would be overwhelmed to have customers patronizing them. Clearly not. Sorry to say you've lost my business and I won't be recommending you anymore. There are a ton of ranges that want and appreciate the business. I don't need to go shoot and be talked down too. read more

RSO Rick was very patient and helpful to me when we bought our first real gun. Helped me load it, unload it, shoot, aim - everything. His recommendation that my little derringer would be better off as a paperweight was hysterical and probably accurate. Thanks, Rick!! read more

Bought a gun there last week. Salesman was very friendly. Went to pick up my gun so I figured I would take my range bag. I assumed since I spent over $1,200 on a gun they would throw in a free range pass to try it out. Guy said nope, I don't make the rules. Wow!! You figure that would just be good customer service since I just bought a gun from you. Oh well!!!! read more

Not a single employee was wearing a mask or social distancing, but enforcing customers to wear masks while shooting. No steel case ammo In range, employees watching over you through windows and always right behind you when shooting. Never been more uncomfortable in my life at a shooting range. read more

Very nice place!!! Hopefully, they can bring all inventory out soon as I'm excited to see what they will have to offer! It's really awesome how you can control lighting and the feet at which you would like to shoot as opposed to guessing or reading little numbers. I like how friendly everyone is and super welcoming... It was very nice to get some tips as well since I was having bit of an off day!!! They have a great deal for the year as well in the lines of membership! Totally worth going and paying the extra bucks for great service :) read more

I have seen the signs of I-355 for this range, but never tried it until this weekend. I completed my CCL training today. The training was top notch with excellent instructors. I also bought a few items there, and the staff was very helpful and courteous. It is a nice clean facility, and I will definitely be back for purchases and to use the range. Thanks, guys! read more

Well ventilated, knowledgeable staff & good selection. I highly recommend the classes.

Since my last review I have not renewed my membership for many reasons but mainly there are many better and less expensive options now available. Friendlier staff, better prices, more sound proof lanes can be found now closer to home. read more

Most of they're staff is super friendly easily my favorite range I've been to! Have bought from them a few times/had guns transferred from out of state with them and have had good experiences! read more

The best indoor range I have ever been to in IL. The staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful. Today was my first visit but will go back very soon. Entire facility was clean and bright, there was a super nice gentleman that was cleaning spent brass from the 2 ranges the entire time I was there, air filtration system is top notch so I never felt the gun powder cough like at other ranges, & lighting at the lane is adjustable which is a great touch when going from loading magazines to pulling the trigger. Only quiet complaint was that they didn't like my Bin Laden Portrait targets on 9/11..... I knew it was stretching the limits!!!! Can't wait to go back!!!!! read more

The Range At 355 - Gun/Rifle Ranges Near Me - Bolingbrook, Illinois

This range is very clean, run very smoothly, however I don't like the mask police. Range officer decided to tell me I need a mask even though he walked around the entire day with no mask on. Also a little disappointed on some of the rules, can't do three chaff on the trigger that's considered rapidfire and I can't lean on the shelf as a barricade however I can sit in a chair so again goofy rules for a range. read more

This is the best range around. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the lanes are top notch. The air filtration and lighting is excellent here as well. My favorite place to shoot. read more

Came at 8pm an hour before closing. Never have a problem but I feel I was racially profiled. Usually I shoot until the facility closes. The one individual said the range was closed when I walked in. The girl up front showed a confused look as if she had no idea what he was talking about. Totally sucks because this is close to my home. Yet I rather take my business and money where it is welcomed! read more

The BEST shooting experience for shooters! The staff is amazing and professional, and they have everything you need. They even teach range/firearm safety, firearm familiarization, and self defense courses. However, for regular and experienced shooters, the membership has all of the perks you need to save money while shooting regularly and maintaining proficiency. As a veteran, their dedication to safety and ensuring their customers' needs are met make all of the difference in the world to me. I know that I can take my daughter there and that EVERY shooter and staff member are focused upon range safety protocols, muzzle awareness, and trigger discipline. I drive an extra 15 minutes just to go to The Range at 355! read more

Range is very clean and well priced. Kevin Aries was my instructor for CCL training. He is very professional and educational with all information presented during the training classes and on the range. Modern, clean range with nice polite, respectful people running it. Best of all , not overcrowded with newbie Millenials who can't follow rules, then get upset when called on it. My new favorite place. highly recommended. read more

This place is great. Range is clean, great lighting, and well ventilated. The people that work there are down to earth, good, safety oriented, people. Friendly and knew what theybwere talking about. Used the range today, had a blast. Going back tomorrow to buy another gun. Definitely recommend this place to my friends. read more

I actually just got home from their handgun class. Larry, who has life-long experience with guns, was a great instructor. I saw a review on here that mentioned something about cliques? I didn't see that at all tonight. Larry gave equal attention to everyone. Things I learned tonight: -Larry's 4 life safety rules with firearms (which he said are better than the NRA's) -That guns today often have 3 built-in safeties on them (and they won't go off if you drop them) -A bunch of stuff that has to do with gun safety -The best way to hold the gun, and how to stand while shooting one -That shooting a gun doesn't take any special skills other than aiming and keeping the gun straight through the shot (which many of us had more difficulty with that than we'd originally thought). -How to actually use the gun (I've never done anything with a handgun, only rifles, so I needed to learn how to release the clip, load it, load the ammo into it (which is not as easy as it looks), etc. We also got to shoot tonight. For the LivingSocial/Groupon deal I had, I still had to pay for the ammo (about $14 for 50 rounds), but the use of their gun was free. Some people also had their own guns. Note: -A FOID card is needed to take the class -A FOID card is also needed to take the unused ammo home with you -If you're following Apple Maps, it'll take you to a small subdivision street across the field from the actual place (nice houses, 2 car garages, etc.), tell you to park your car, and walk the rest of the way. I don't know why it does that, but don't listen to her, lol. Instead of turning right at Prairie (like she says to), keep going down that street and turn right onto the street just after the "Orbus" building (it has a gate and everything above the road, so you may wonder if you're going into their employee parking lot). No worries. Just follow that street around. The range is at the end of that street with lots of parking (seriously, the street ends there). I only gave it 4 stars bc I haven't been to any other ranges, so I don't have anything to compare it to. But I don't have any complaints. I also don't know much more about the facility or prices to use stuff there. But everybody's pretty friendly, so just ask and they'll be happy to help. read more

I recently completed the CCL class with Connie Arias as instructor. Connie was extremely knowledgeable and presented the material in a manner which kept attendees interested and engaged during the 16 hour class. She took time to familiarize herself with every student so that she was better able to assist them with the end goal of every student passing the class. I have taken the Handgun Skills Class for Beginners and several private lessons with Connie and she does not disappoint. I highly recommend Range at 355 for all your training needs. read more

Very nice people. Range is very clean. Range master nice and helpful. We were acknowledged by everyone there.

I get that IL has all these dumb @ss rules and regs when it comes to guns. Sorry trolls, not a discussion on guns... if you don't like 'em, why are you reviewing gun ranges? Anyhow, This is a very nice place compared to some of the other dumps around the area. It is a very clean place if you wanna go phew-phew (insert sound effects). They have some pretty advanced equipment on the range, and sell some pretty sweet toys as well. My problem is that The Range @ 355 has a bible you have to read before using a range, 3 waivers to sign, and I think I even had to give a DNA sample as well... kidding on that one. What's even more dumb is that you can't walk in with your concealed weapon, and use it on the range!?!? WTF? So, you'd rather have some moron "clear" his weapon in your parking lot than walk in as allowed by law to maintain proficiency? This dumb rule applies to cops too, so don't bother going on your lunch break. Hopefully one day, we can get passed 'the horror" of guns and realize that they are nothing more than a tool. Additionally, I hope some normal/sensible laws allow for people to lawfully carry in this region. Until then, I don't see me going to go phew-phew (sound effects) here much again. read more

I had the best experience and was welcomed by Candy, as she knew all the answers was asking, also gave very informative information to make my assessment to decide on which item to purchase. Usually well stocked and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately 4 lanes on the shooting range were OOO rosy and the wait was over 90 mins. Nice store and range. read more

Really nice shooting range. They have two different types of lanes and there is plenty of room here. Super Clean, Super Friendly, Super Helpful. The gun shop is great too. Plenty to choose from and the prices are on point. I definitely enjoy my time whenever I am here. read more

I just took a CCL certificate class with Connie and Kevin, and I'm not exaggerating when I say this class was everything I was looking for. I thought the 16 hours would be hard to go through, but these two have their curriculum so well organized it's hard NOT to pay attention and stay engaged. Very nice that they teamed the instruction too, so the information comes at you in different styles. Highly HIGHLY recommend this class and, specifically, these two instructors. It was 16 hours of packed information I had never even considered before. read more

This is what good looks like...first I would like to recognize Larry as the ultimate professional and a perfect example of what a great firearms training instructor is all about. He was my CCL instructor and his class was the perfect mix of safety, safety and safety plus the importance of situational awareness and managing unknown contacts. Perfect display of pure professionalism taught by an expert with real life experiences. Well done indeed! The facility itself is exemplary. The staff are all helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. What's not to like! A perfect place for safety conscious persons who want to learn the proper way of training and becoming more proficient in your shooting skills and accuracy. read more

This was my go to Range since it opened and loved it! That was until this last visit where I was harassed by one of the employees in the range. Constantly Critiquing everything that I was doing. 4 trips to critique in the 35min I was there. It was such little stuff like where my bag was placed to how I unloaded my bag. Nothing that I was doing was out of the norm for all my visits at this range or others. The last straw is when he told me I needed to fold my Target up because I was aiming low on the target. What's the most aggravating is that there were five bullseye on the target with two at the bottom! They sold me that target!!! Never in my life, for all my visits to any ranges have a seen people fold their targets. I am upset that he ruined my visit but that now I have to find another range. read more

I went for the first time today. I was extremely nervous shooting for the first time. From beginning to end the staff made me feel so comfortable. Russ was great. He gave a lot of helpful information and was really friendly. Very clean and ironically enough calm range. I have been to a few others but this is honestly the best. Not judgmental or aggressive. My newly adopted Uncles: CCL Instructors Larry Lindenman, John Fowler and the rest of the guys working at R355. I took the CCL class on March 11 & 12, 2017. Not a dull moment or drifting. Range is very nice. I feel very comfortable there. It is very convenient that the shooting range and the class are in the same building. Highly recommend! I liked being there so much I thought that they were going to have to kick me out of there!!! read more
