There's plenty of comfortable seating, making it a nice place to study, hold meetings, or just hang out with friends. I almost missed out on GW's when I was in the area because of the "catering" in the name. Good…read morething I didn't because the meat is outstanding. It's a casual (no surprise) counter service restaurant with inside and out seating. The service was quick and they had already sold out of some of their offerings. Being the meat lover that I am I decided to get both ribs and brisket. I'd put the ribs in the "very good" category. This is, after all, legit barbecue. No shortcuts. The brisket is what blew me away, however. Best I've had outside of maybe Lockhart in Dallas. The beef flavor is incredible and has plenty of both fat and meat. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes barbecue but especially for anyone who loves beef.

Clean, budget, tasty, authentic, fresh, hot quality breakfast/lunch plates and/or single taco…read moreoptions. And "YES". the Corn & flour tortillas are hand made like "Abuelita" use to roll out. Very tasty, flavorful and the size of tortillas is much bigger than ones hand. The food is very hot & fresh and takes just minutes to come out. I started coming here for the sweetbread, and eventually tried the tacos, wow I was very impressed as I didn't expect it to be so good being a bakery. It's been my "Go-To" spot for years now, as El Pato is just a few yards away and gets extremely packed at lunch and honestly their tacos are smaller and not consistent. But still go to. El Pato out of necessity when Il just going to drive through and can't stop. The food here at La Morenita Bakery has a more homemade authentic "casera" flavor to me, and they do not skimp or cheat you out of your hard earned dollars here. The seating chairs are iron patio furniture, so not extremely comfy however it's not agonizing and worth the 15-30 minutes you'll spend their, besides if you go solo as I do, there is a little bar with stools up against the entrance wall that is very cozy and private. And then again, there's always the "to-go" take back to work/office option. My favorite is the papas a la mejicana & chorizo/egg tacos one on flour & one on corn with a side of coffee with panecito. But EVERYTHING is hot & tasty - you won't regret it. Service is friendly, and it's basically the owner, helper & cook but worth the wait of about the average time depending on orders ahead of you of course, but help yourself to some sweetbread & coffee and check your emails while you wait, before you know it that hot plate will be placed in front of you. Mmmmmm soooo good. Overall this place is a hidden little secret as people jstop by for sweetbread not knowing about the good tacos available., but hey, have a seat & have a hot, fresh taco or two you won't be disappointed - I'm very picky, but not a complainer knowing everyone works hard in this food industry, besides on bad experiences I just "boycott" - and I keep myself on a reasonable budget and don't like snobby - look at me - high end busy restaurants, so if you just want an AUTHENTIC private little time to yourself- this is your spot too. Greetings "Mac"

So, before breakfast commenced and the coffee from Chiapas was poured for those attending, we opened the box to discover the colorful mix she had chosen. The flaky brown and tan biscuits were the first plate we tried with our homemade strawberry jam and cream cheese. I tasted mine plain at first to get a sense of the composition. The resounding taste of butter in the near bread told me of the quality was on par with any I had enjoyed before. Biscuits are not difficult to make, but doing so consistently is important. Then we tasted the dark brown gingerbread pigs, known as "puerquitos", which were gloriously fresh with a dusting of confectionery sugar. I was impressed again and the subtle taste of piloncillo found its way into every taste. While it's mildly unfair to review a place based solely on its takeout, El Fenix made a very good impression on me, and I look forward to visiting in the near future.

The owner was so sweet and helpful! She was so patient with me as I was deciding what to try! The space is small but they had everything neatly on display. I have to say, I'm a little surprised at some of these reviews because every item I purchased was delicious! I tried their strawberry cupcake and the cake was moist and flavorful! The frosting was a little too sweet but the tartness of the jelly filling balanced everything out. I tried their lavender and cookies and cream macarons and they were so good! I liked that the lavender had a tart filling in the center. I got a cosmic brownie for my brother to try and he said it was amazing! I also got a danish which was pretty good and I just had to get a lemon bar and one of the blueberry pie bars because they are the best! This is my new go to place for baked goods!
