    Large crispy wings

We found this place had trivia on a Sunday night. Easy enough to find parking. Trivia is upstairs in this cool pub. My partner got wings which were generously sized. I got the pierogi. The server was really nice and the cook who brought out the food was great. Everything arrived hot. It's a cool vibe with just enough space to have a great trivia night. We will be back! Thanks for a great first visit to the Queen Vic.

Cardiff Bluebird. It wasn't bad but not my fav (my husband really enjoyed it!)

While the downstairs was a bittoo loud for us, we were pleased to find the upstairs noise level much more acceptable. I had the burger with pork belly and chips. The chips (fries) were fantastic in flavor & texture. I really also enjoyed my burger (one meat patty was much more than enough for me too). My cocktail was ok - but I think it was a "live and learn" experience for me, nothing at fault from the restaurant or bartender.

I ordered the pierogis and poutine on uber eats and there was a bit of a wait but the food was solid. It was my first time eating pierogis but it was flavorful. The poutine was good, maybe a little salty, but it did the job. I wish it was a bit cheaper (a little over $30 for the two items as appetizers) but overall a solid food option from a bar.

Originally went here to satiate my english man fetish in what I believe is the only genuine attempt of an english pub in the entire dc downtown. The place gave the perfect piratey speakeasy feel, (the entire atmosphere and greenish hue is best encapsulated by this movie poster for Pirates of the Caribbean 4, or The Northman if you're looking at staff) but the returns started becoming less about pretending to be at hogwarts and more about the incomparable Andrew. The cook/owner (unclear) is equally not bad on the eyes, which was a great change of pace for NE/H St. I can't say I would ever go there for the food; I go there for the dream. English dishes/cuisine to be fair is apparently SUPPOSED to be a lot like prison food or stranded on an island, I only ordered a milk-steamed sesame sauce broth of perhaps chicken once and it was only bad because the English concept itself was bizarre. Rest of the menu looked a lot better, but rest assured the ambience, entire staff, and quirky dj/projector screen choices more than make up for. I've gone there 20-30 consecutive times refusing to drink anywhere else and pretty sure they think I got whacked because I moved cities without telling anyone and vanished without a trace. Full English Breakfast

Queen Vic is always a vibe, great place to catch a game and grab a beer. In spite of some occasional surly service (part of the charm) the true star of the show is their extensive pub fare menu. Comfort food UK style, it's an amazing place to grab a full English or a Sunday roast.

I loved spending time at the Queen Vic. A fried battered fish Was what I was seeking and they didn't disappoint. The green pea sauce was yummy too. I enjoyed the magners on tap. Come for the battered fish. Throw some lemon and boom. Also, the fish reheats well in the air fryer!

    Sticky Toffee Pudding

Had the fish and chips and the sticky toffee pudding, and they were both great. I went on a Thursday at about 6:30 PM, sat upstairs, and was the only one there for probably about a half an hour. It was nice. Downstairs was busier, which is cool for them, but I wanted to have a little bit more relaxed environment, so I went upstairs. The bartender was awesome and helped me with the menu. Apparently they don't have the bone marrow anymore because people were too afraid to try it, lol, which is a bummer because I wanted to give it a shot! All in all, a great place for a bite to eat with a cool atmosphere. They had a pretty good assortment of NA beverages as well.

    Best bartender in DC!, Matt!

If Iived inDC, I'd eat here all the time! The food is excellent, the bartender fun, atmosphere - excellent. Laid back, the perfect combo of energy yet we could still talk and enjoy the evening. Best things one the menu: Brussels sprouts, gnocchi, and goat cheese salad. SO yummy.highly recommend!

I absolutely love the Queen Vic. Been coming here for years, back in the days of Trivia Night with Ryan and Joe (RIP) behind the bar. Came back tonight with longtime friends visiting "home" here in DC. Had the pork schnitzel special, which was delicious. Andrew the bartender was so personable and attentive. We really had a great night reminiscing. Thank you, Queen Vic and Andrew for a great night with friends.

Meat pie ON mashed potatoes. This is NOT to be confused with Pie and mash. Not even close.

The closest thing to a "proper" English pub in the DC area, I have been going to this place on and off for years. They have a decent beer selection including Old Speckled Hen, Boddingtons and Bombardier so its worth it for that, assuming you like English beer. Which of course, I do! The food is ok. It has been better a while ago. It used to be better but sometimes a bit of a let down. So consistency is not there. Might want to check the website before you go as when there is a football/soccer match, the place will be very loud and very packed. I had the ground beef pie which was not the worst but certainly not the best. Not the best beef, but the shocker was that the pie came on a bed of mashed potatoes that tasted like it was made from a packet. Why not fries/chips, as in pie and chips?? and no peas. sigh. I am from London where "Pie and Mash" is a working class traditional cheap meal. That is made with actual potatoes and a green "liquor" made from parsely. The pies are freshly made each day and are fantastic. This pie was a million miles from that with dubious meat. That was more of an (hopefully) accidental travesty that annoyed me. I hope things turn around. I'm crossing my fingers...
