Its not dark and dingey like a lot of pubs, its light and welcoming. It has a really big beer garden, with seating area under cover and with heat lamps. All of the Foresters Arms Staff were outstanding and very helpful from start to finish, The food was great as was the on point service on the day, prior communication even with the time difference went smoothly. I arranged for the extended family to meet, 13 of us in total and we could not have been happier with the result! a great venue, perfect atmosphere, excellent food and super cheerful and helpful service, the day went without a hitch and my 90 year old mother could not have been happier!! and neither could the rest of the family. It was really refreshing to see real ales on sale and find out that guest beers are regularly available. Do not be fooled, this pub is for drinking, talking and relaxing - without distractions. Strangers will chat and joke with you and even though I was alone when I arrived, after an hour I felt like one of the regulars - sharing a few beers with friends. I started with the old hooky recommended by John (powerful stuff) and finished with the XB recommended by Rita. I had a fab time, great ale and rediscovered what makes going to a pub so great.
