Beet salad

We went to The Quarterdeck based on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. We made reservations and were glad we did as this place is very popular. Options to eat indoors and outside. There are multiple levels. Dining outside you get an amazing sunset view if you're there at the right time. Service was professional and enjoyable. Our server was well versed on the menu and helped with some recommendations. We shared a goat cheese and beet salad and crawfish egg rolls and crab cakes. The crab cakes were amazing! Worth checking out if you are in Hilton Head.

My favorite restaurant in Hilton Head! From the delicious food to the stunning views to the amazing service, this spot is a 10/10. We came to Sea Pines specifically for the Quarterdeck. We were looking for something new with good food and stuff to do around the restaurant, and the Quarterdeck was the place. It takes a second to get through the neighborhood to the back near the water, which is where the restaurant is, but the drive is very nice. I like how there was things other than houses when driving through. When we got to our destination, there was a little shopping area to walk around. This restaurant is right on the water and the views blew me away! It was stunning! We didn't have any reservations, but we put our name down for two and they told us the bar was first come first serve. I think there are three different bars, but we headed upstairs to that bar. We sat immediately even though every table upstairs was taken. There were some open seats at the bar, but not many. This was the perfect place to sit! It was very bright and you could see very far out. The bartender took our order right away for drinks. I got a prosecco and my friend got a spicy marg. Both were delicious. I really liked how we were served right away and didn't have to flag him down. We were hungry, so we did put in our food right away too. We were both wanting seafood, so I got the fried catfish and my friend got the salmon. The catfish platter was huge and one of the best I've ever had. It was flaky, moist, and a great portion size...I could not even finish all of it! It was so good. My friend's salmon was also delicious, but I was more in the mood for fried food. I would have gotten this every night on my trip if I could have! After dinner, we walked around the restaurant and it was so peaceful and pretty! There is a small boardwalk, yacht club, and rocking chairs all over. I would highly recommend this place!

This place is always a must when in HHI. They have a great cocktail menu, entrees that appeal to almost anyone, and we can't forget about the amazing views. Two of my favorite things to order are the hush puppies and crab soup. I also got the shrimp which were great. Everyone in our party was satisfied with their meal. Afterwards don't forget to grab a few photos and maybe some ice cream around the corner.

Quarterdeck remains a repeat restaurant spot for us after many many seasons. The food, service and views are hard to beat. Last night, our server, Joe, set the service standard bar high! He was so accommodating to all the kids at our table, as well as the adults. Food reviews: Josper Octopus--outstanding cook. Perfectly tender on the inside. Loved the sauce on top Crab Cake--kitchen split for us upon presentation which was super helpful. I wouldn't have given my husband any of it considering how delicious it was! Loaded with crab and not filler. The crispy ham was a nice texture contrast as well

I wasn't impressed. Their prosecco was great, but their food is overpriced, does not taste good, and comes in small portions. Slow and inattentive service. Beautiful view of the water !

We were currently visiting and wanted to check out this part of the island because of the lighthouse and thought it would make for a great photo opportunity together. Unfortunately, we ended up taking a nap beforehand and got there much later than planned, so we were worried they might already be closing down. Luckily, we were still able to grab seats at the bar. Service started off a little slow and, fortunately, it did improved throughout the evening. We decided to share the beef short rib 10/10 mouth watering with a wedge salad, and both were very good. For dessert, I ordered the espresso martini, which completely stole the show. The bartender seemed to be making one every few minutes for other guests, and after trying it myself, I completely understood why. The presentation was amazing, and the flavor was even better. I would strongly recommend ordering the espresso martini if you visit because it was easily the highlight of the night--not just for me, but seemingly for half the restaurant. The building itself is beautiful and has two floors. If you're hoping for a nice view, I would definitely recommend requesting a table upstairs. The bar area also offers plenty of seating options, including tables, booths, and outdoor seating. This is definitely more of an upscale restaurant, so expect higher prices, but the quality of the food and drinks matched the cost. One thing worth mentioning is that when driving into the area, we had to pass through security and were charged a $10 entrance fee. We later found out that if we had mentioned it to the restaurant, they would have removed the charge from our bill. Lesson learned, and hopefully anyone reading this review can take advantage of that tip. After dinner, we walked around the dock and checked out the boats. The area has a really cute downtown vibe, but since we arrived so late, most places were already closed. Next time, I'd definitely like to spend more time exploring the area during the daytime. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would highly recommend checking it out.

Great dining experience with great views! The food here is amazing from start to finish and the service is spot on as well. The dining room area is very nice but if you have the chance you need to go in the evening and sit outdoors to enjoy the sunset. The evening dining experience on the porch and patio area is second to none at Hilton Head!

Excellent location and atmosphere, you really can't ask for a better view no matter what section you sit in. I appreciated the thought put into the decor and overall vibe, it balanced classic coastal very well. The menu options were excellent, between the dinner menu and specials it was difficult to make a final decision. I ultimately went with the surf and turf and have no regrets, my filet was tender and the crusted lobster was a take I wasn't expecting but I was really happy with the jam packed flavor in that little guy. Our group unanimously had excellent meals with high praise to the street corn elote, Thai crunch salad, striped bass and beet salad. The key lime cheesecake is truly one of the best cheesecakes I've have in my life and that's not an exaggeration, that slice had to of been 6 inches tall, perfectly set, and had a lovely keylime flavor without pulling too acidic. Our service was OK but could use some improvement, the server managing our table appeared to be juggling a few demanding tables which left us with a cluttered table full of empty glasses plates, needing refills, needing silverware (to eat). When Kayla was able to get to our table she was knowledgeable on the menu, wine pairing, and recommendations. My recommendations would be to have a busser assisting the server with larger parties and help alleviate some of these smaller asks that keeps us attended to and frees up the waitress to focus on food and drinks.

You have to go to the up stairs bar and sit with RJ. He makes you feel at home and very welcome. And Max the GM added to the hospitality we received. The food is awesome and I can't say enough good things about the view

We dined outside and had a really nice experience. I enjoyed a perfectly executed classic daiquiri prior to dinner. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the perfect wine pairing with my fresh catch fish. We also enjoyed fried shrimp, salmon, and pasta dishes that were all yummy. I highly recommend quarterdeck for a nice meal while in Hilton Head.

With iconic lighthouse and wraparound deck, it's one of the best places to see the sunset on the island! Reservations are required to sit in the main dining area most nights but there is a small first come first serve area by the outside bar where we snagged a table. Service is on point with the full menu and attentive waitstaff. The menu is very seafood heavy but there are some interesting salads as vegetarian options. Would love to see another entree choice added! I also enjoyed the unique take on hush puppies with hot honey.

View from the patio.

Of all the places we ate during our short 3 night stay in Hilton Head, this was by far the best dining experience we had. Views are amazing. Atmosphere is amazing. Food was excellent and our server, I think her name was Oskana, was wonderful. If you are visiting Hilton Head and this is not on your list, you are missing out.

The upstairs bartender was friendly and he made me a very good extra dirty vodka martini. Before I knew it, our table was ready! We ended up getting seated after a 10 minute wait. We all sat down and as we looked at the menu, we all realized there were many delicious different options to choose from. We started with some raw oysters, the cajun broiled oysters and a basket or two of hush puppies. All of which were so good, I wasn't able to get a picture before we ate it all. The cajun broiled oysters were my favorite!! Then, our server took our entree orders with a smile and made sure to keep our drinks filled as we waited. I ordered the Redfish Special and it was a very big portion. I barely finished my meal and my friend who ordered the same thing ended up taking half of it home. I was expecting the lemon cream sauce to be on top of the fish but I believe it was mixed into the lump crab. It was so delicious, I could have been satisfied with just the fresh lump crab. My sons ate everything off their plates and my husband loved his Trio of shrimp, cod and scallops. This whole place has a great vibe to it.

Our server was Avery who was great at handling 6 old guys. One of my buddies asked for Swiss cheese on his melt and was told they didn't have any. Then Avery said "I might be lying" suggesting she didn't really know since she works mostly at the other Capt Woody's location on HHI. Mine came with American cheese and was delicious. I would have ordered it with Swiss as well if I knew they had it (which they did). The place was quite busy. For ambiance, we saw 2 delivery trucks which provided some loud background noise and blocked our view of downtown Bluffton. Other than that, it was great!!

Fabiana was our server and did a great job with the exception of a couple of things. At 11:15 in the morning, the restaurant wasn't too crowded and the 6 of us had a nice table in the main dining area. I ordered the Seafood Chimichanga for $18.99. It looked like a gigantic eggroll when it came out. It had guacomole, lettuce, tomato on the side as well as Spanish rice. As mentioned on the menu, the oversized wrap was filled with large shrimp, crab (sirimi), bay scallops, fish and chopped octopus along with onion and cheese. It was fabulous and enough for 2 meals. Of the 6 of us, I was last to be served by almost 5 minutes. When it came time for the check, they charged me $3.95 for a diet coke even though I only had a glass of water (with lime). That was corrected. They also included the gratuity into the total as well as another upcharge for using a credit card. The callout here is if you include a gratuity, you shouldn't have another line item on the bill for gratuity unless it states "additional gratuity". They provide suggested tip amounts which actually include the total bill, gratuity and tax as the basis of their suggested tip. My charge was $18.99 plus tax. Typical 20% tip would be $4.00 making it $23.00. Credit card makes it $24. The suggested tip again was $4.00 making the total $28. There should be a better way not to confuse patrons or misguide them into leaving a 40% tip. Plenty of parking since they're in a large strip mall. Be careful when crossing the main road to get to the restaurant as many of the cars don't stop.
