I tried to use a coupon I won at a social. The coupon reads '15$ off' then lists different treatments that you can have. There is no treatment price listed, and no expiry date listed.
When I asked to book at appointment for the 'spa pedicure', she hesitated when I told her I had this coupon. She then informed me that that coupon was old tans that their prices had changed... But again, there was no prices listed at all on the coupon.
I was like "so you won't honour this coupon?", and she was like, "if we do we'll have to charge you the old price" and then I'm like "but there is no price listed on the coupon, it just says $15 off Spa Pedicure. How much is the spa pedicure?" She says, "42$, but that's the new price, if you want to use the coupon we'll have to charge you the old price, which is 55$" Then I was like, "so... You can't honour the coupon?" And she says "ya, no"
How does this make sense. I guess their logic is that their prices are so low that coupons don't apply...
I should have known better... I had three of these to begin with and I used one already (a couple months ago). Since I had three, I tried to book three different treatments all in one day (pedi/mani/facial, sounds good right?!) But they told me I couldn't do that, that I would have to make three separate appointments on three separate days. Which I thought was strange, it's not like I was trying to pull one over on them... Ya know. I just thought, three coupons, three treatments. Why not make a day of it. Seems like they could be a bit more flexible. read more
