Our dog is from Snowesti. He is 11 years old but has not lived a good life. His sister died at four…read morefrom an autoimmune disorder. He has three different autoimmune disorders. "Health is guaranteed." Two weeks after bringing him home, he had to have surgery and was consequently neutered too early. The owner never responded. His sister had parasites from drinking the water from the creek behind the house. For the first three years of his life, he was relatively ok. At four, his hair started changing. He developed severe allergies, and his nails began falling out. He has been eating freshpet for most of his life, and our other westie (who is five years older and healthy, not from Snowestie) has been eating the same thing. Genetics must play a role. He has lost an eye due to early-onset glaucoma. He is blind. He is bow-legged. He has asthma. His feet hurt him. His nails fall out because of a connective tissue issue. He is uncomfortable. Our other westie is 16 and only has mild allergies. His sister was owned by a couple in a nearby neighborhood. They are retired and spent a lot of time caring for her, but at only four years old, she died from organ failure. I give two stars only because we love our dog, and I am hoping that in the last decade, there have been some changes.
