The cleaning service she uses is horrible, and her fee is extremely high, considering the amount of work she actually does. Perhaps we weren't "important" enough for her to actually do the job we were paying her to do, or maybe she just didn't like us; either way, this is a company I would avoid at all costs. We finally ended our relationship with her after my husband discovered that our town home wasn't actually listed anywhere on her website, yet she was still charging us a $50 per month fee to simply do that. She did refund the money, but only after we complained about it (and giving the excuse that she needed "more info", which is bull. She had been responsible for our rental for years and we have proof that the last email sent to her explicitly instructed her to put it up for rent with the information she already had). In today's world a property manager is almost as obsolete as a travel agent, especially one who does nothing but take your money and act rude and unprofessional. She was only consistent with one thing; making us feel like we were putting her out every time we asked her to do anything regarding our rental. If I could give zero stars, I would have. I'm a business owner too, and there's absolutely no way I could stay in business if I treated my customers as badly as Durango Property Management.

AREM has integrity and follows the strict regulations set up by the state to protect HOA's. The office is conveniently located in town with an actual person out front to assist you if you prefer to make payments in person. Worst rental experience of my life…read more The word, SLUMLORD comes to mind. Expect to be treated horribly. The entire staff is condescending, rude, and very hostile. In particular, Caroni Adams is one of the worst people I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. It is my personal opinion that she actually gets some sort of sick satisfaction from the terrible way she treats people. The Property Manager will do virtually nothing to hold up their end of the lease and their responsibilities as a landlord. Expect no repairs and no maintenance. Also be prepared because they love to show up for surprise "inspections" which they will claim they gave notice for when they did not. Furthermore, they will try to charge you for things that were wrong with the place before you even moved in. Document and photograph EVERYTHING if you are desperate enough to rent from these people. It was the only thing that saved me from them stealing my deposit. Expect to have to fight for every penny owed to you.
