From Daiso to Bath and Body Works to Ulta to Old Navy, that pretty much sums up all of my shopping needs in one place. I like that all of the stores are still clean and not trashed yet. Maybe because no one really frequents here yet but I hope they stay clean and new unlike the Old Navy and Ulta on Laguna Blvd. There is a great variety of restaurants too. They're not 4-star, sit-down-with-a-menu type restaurants but I like all the options while I need a break from shopping. Also, as I'm writing this, there are Holidays decorations around the complex. I LOVE that. It's a nice touch to get you in the Christmas mood.

They also have a movie theater that has reclining seats. I've been to multiple places around here and pass here all the time to work. Depending on where you go they have decent service. Most recently found out there is a Walmart Super center near by. Daiso is a good store for all your home needs. Chick-Fil-A is good to eat here too. Some stores are pricey and others are fairly reasonable. I love Tastea so I'm glad it's located here too. I do still need to check out It's Sushi. The only thing it's missing a Miniso then this shopping center will be complete!

I went to Marshalls today and needed to make 3 separate transactions. Cashier Josie was very…read morefriendly and had no problem helping me with that, which I appreciated. However, Josie was extremely pushy about getting me to open a Marshalls/TJX credit card. I politely said "no thank you" multiple times during the first transaction -- probably around 10 times -- but she continued bringing it up throughout the second and third transactions as well. I understand employees are probably encouraged to promote the credit card, but once a customer clearly says no, it should be respected. Being asked repeatedly made the checkout experience uncomfortable and frustrating. If you don't shop at Marshalls, TJ Maxx, or HomeGoods often, I would also think carefully before opening another store credit card just for the checkout discount. 3/5 stars. Friendly service, but the repeated credit card pressure really took away from the experience.

I have mixed feelings about the Southgate Plaza Shopping Center. I like the businesses here. But I…read moream worried about my car parking here, especially after sunset! Southgate Plaza has 99 Ranch Market, Happy Lamb Hot Pot, many restaurants, retail stores, and banks. This is a perfect shopping center. I can get everything I want in one location. However, I have seen the homeless people here many times. I saw car glass broken a few times. It makes me worry about the safety of myself and my family! I saw they have more security patrolling the shopping center. Sometimes, a cop car stopped at the parking lot too. It makes me feel better when I'm here visiting my favorite stores and restaurants.

I got some good food and treats and gifts. Everyone was super friendly and one shop owner even gave me a little tour around the hallway. But my favorite part was checking out the Sojourner Truth African Heritage Museum, and the long hallway of murals next to it. It is absolutely lovely and not to be missed if you are in the area already. It's a looooong hallway of african and african american history.

Service was good as the cashier was quick, lines moved quickly, usually only needing to open one line. As for value, well everything is $1.25 now so not technically a dollar at Dollar Tree anymore, but still pretty good deals if you look carefully. There were also lots of $3-5 items. Overall, this place has an extensive collection of all kinds of items and you'll likely find what you're looking for!
