Super enjoyed the loaded chips with some fried fish bites to make our own "fish and chips" station. Loaded chips had delicious pulled pork on top. Fish was cooked well. Everything I would have hoped for in a Christmas pudding. Enjoyed our experience and would definitely get a pie next time!

It really was such a perfect day trip from London. We arrived by train from the London Paddington station and immediately purchased inexpensive, cute gifts at the souvenir shop. The castle is noticeable from any angle but the entrance is by the giant statue of Queen Victoria. Upon entering the Castle, security checks your bags and then you're through. Everyone that works there is very nice, and you feel regal upon entering. We had never been there, so we definitely participated in the audio tour. The audio tour is great. You're given something similar to an iPod and a pair of headphones. With this combo, it's easy to navigate the tour. Arriving to St. George's Chapel, your'e immediately told no photographs, which is terrible because Windsor is truly awe inspiring monument and should be remembered. St. George's chapel gave me all the feels when I saw Queen Elizabeth II buried alongside Prince Philip and not too far away, her parents King George with Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret. It was truly an impressive sight. The craftsmanship in that chapel is excellent. Seeing the individual banners was very interesting. I especially loved Queen Mary's doll house. I wish I would've been able to photograph the dolls house because it truly is magnificent. Every item is made to scale, completely unique to the castle, and the dolls house is stunning. The rest of the castle is extraordinary. The artwork in the different rooms, halls and ceilings is absolutely beautiful. The king's rooms, sitting rooms, and other rooms are equally exquisite. The weapons and armor are also a sight to see. Overall, Windsor is a definite bucket list item. Lots to see, lots to do, and several places to eat within the castle and around Windsor. Such a wonderful experience.

Overall, great time was had here over some great beers and delicious munchies.

Just a few minutes walk from the castle, you'd be silly to miss out in stopping here. Of course - the beer is excellent. They've usually got 8-12 things on tap, with 4 cask ales among them. You'll have their version of a "best bitter" along with some creative things like a smoked ale and a white stout. I had a white ale with notes of fresh orange that I liked a lot! Delicious beer aside, I don't think you'll find a friendlier place! We were greeted like old friends by Wildcat Willie and the other patrons. To make things even better prices are incredibly reasonable! They even make their own gin so non beer drinkers should be well cared for too. This was definitely the highlight of our day in Windsor, and honestly one of the highlights of our vacation. Don't miss a chance to stop by, experience true hospitality and sample her Maj's beer!
