My husband and I "discovered" Superior Pasties last year. We were sad when they closed down, and…read morewhile we found another place, it just wasn't the same. Imagine our surprise and delight when we saw Superior Pasties had reopened! It appears to be under new management, but the same friendly service is still there. The decor is still very simple (focus remains on the food quality), but it is roomy inside with two tables in case you'd like to eat in. My husband ordered a Chicken Fajita and a beef pasty. The chicken fajita flavor is new, and after taking a small bite, I was surprised at how good it was. I ordered my usual: beef, chicken, and shepherds pie. I had the beef one first, and it tasted as good as it did before the closure. The other two flavors are still in our freezer, because I forget how filling and satisfying pasties are. I have to be starving/hangry in order to be able to eat one. But I can never go into Superior Pasties and one only order one; I have to be sure I have some for later! The pasties at the other place we found are good, but not like Superior's. Superior's pasties seem to be bigger, the filling is very flavorful, and the Shepherd's Pie is in pasty form, not in an aluminum tin. Again, even while busy, the staff at Superior was very friendly, and even engaged in light conversation as much as she was able. I definitely hope that Superior Pasties gets enough business (and resources) to stay open for a long time! We really like the food and staff, and even though we don't visit often, we love having it in our restaurant portfolio! Will have to update with photos later, as the ones I took were lost...

The $8.00 great mushrooms was overprice , greasy and you got about 10 small mushrooms in a small bowl. I tried a bowl of Chili which was too soupy and lacking beans and flavor. We tried to give them support but hey what are they hinging back for $45.00 cost ? I remember going there years ago for their Chi Chi burger but it will continue to be but a memory.

But I work during the week and I was off this Friday and wanted to meet more people. The group was small so it didn't even fill up the senior van for the complex. The driver didn't even stay. There was plenty of room so we were seated quickly. The menu is huge which should have been a clue because I have learned that a place with a large menu the food is always average at best. Instead of ordering my normal eggs Benedict, I choose the senior French toast with bacon and coffee for $8. It did say no substitutions but I don't drink coffee and other places have no problem with it. But here no substitutions means I was charged $2.90 extra so I paid almost $11 for 2 below average pieces of fresh toast and 2 strips of bacon with a diet coke. Most of the others ordered non breakfast items. I will not be back. The service was hardly there. I will try another diner which has cheaper breakfast and probably won't charge me extra for a different drink.
