He spent plenty of time explaining what a good plan of attack would be, along with pointing out the other desirable and less-than-desirable plants back there. In the end, we decided to tackle the project ourselves following his recommendations because the labor would have been out of our budget. In hindsight, and after getting some itchy exposure despite the protective suit, it might have been worth paying his crew to do the work. I would recommend him over a normal landscaper if you're not sure where to start or if you are very sensitive to p.i. oils

This guy is a total scam artist and I have the screenshots to prove it. We called him about a…read moredefinite poison ivy problem in our front yard and a possible poison ivy problem in our backyard. I explained to him that I didn't feel comfortable walking in the backyard because I wasn't sure what is and what isn't poison ivy. He told us to do the best we can and even if it's just in the front he would still come out to inspect everything. He then told us that if we did want the back done he would drive out to look at that to see what is poison ivy and what isn't. Then he had his worker message me from a different number and we set up a date and I confirmed with them that there's no charge for him to come out and look even though about an hour or so away from them and the workers said there's definitely no problem. So that's it we had a verbal agreement which I take seriously I'm a man of my word for an appointment this Thursday at 4:00. Well they gave me extremely short notice to let me know that he's not going to drive out unless I take extra pictures. I said I already discussed that the reason I need him to come out in the first place is because I'm severely allergic and I can't take more pictures but you at least have the pictures of the front so you know that there's poison ivy there. So then they were telling me that well he's not going to come out and we have to do a virtual inspection basically ignoring what I said. Then they said if I want him to come out it's going to be $150 for every 50 mi. This is completely different from what he was saying about a free inspection. I could hire some kid down the street to do the whole job for less than $150. There's probably about 15 minutes of work. This was all explained to him on the original call. At first he seemed like a nice guy but then I noticed he wasn't even replying to my messages which I took is a very bad sign. Even the worker I would say thank you and they would not have the courtesy to reply you're welcome or anything. On top of that they've been texting / calling me from multiple different numbers which is very weird. I'm also not sure if the guy is slower if he has a stutter but during the phone call there was something off about him maybe he just stutters when he lies? Anyway, obviously we have no interest in using this guy anymore. On top of that he told me something that was factually incorrect. He told me that when I asked him if it's safe for me to be out there when they're removing the poison ivy said oh yeah it won't get in the air. That is factually incorrect and it actually contradicts with the video on his site where he said you don't even have to touch poison ivy to gets sick. He not only lost a client but his reputation. They also tried to say that he had an appointment in my area but because he had to cancel it now he can't come to see me. I called BS on that I doubt he had an appointment in the area to begin with they were just trying to jerk around.

I can only speak to one other consignment for kids that I've been to, but the prices weren't bad at all. They were pretty comparable to the other store. Some of the designer items were understandably priced higher. The others were fine by me, especially with the sale price tacked on. I bought at least 5 or 6 items for around $13. As to the staff, I thought they were pleasant. Twice they inquired if I was looking for anything specific and they directed me to where I needed to be. They also told me about their fill-a-bag sale coming up (yes, I'll definitely be back, because I love a fill-a-bag thrift sale). I even spied some items at the counter I may come back for for myself. Overall, it was a great experience. You would be surprised how high new clothes for toddlers can run, so I only shop secondhand. In the long run, even saving a little goes a long way! Also, Narbeth is so cute! Stopped at a young entrepreneur's lemonade stand on the way back to my car.

But every time I have gone in, and twice now when I have come in to consign, I have checked the website in advance, gone in, and been told I was wrong to bring in what I have brought. Which is frustrating because I went through the trouble of bringing in things that the website says is being accepted, but I am treated like a know nothing when I walk in the door. My sense of the place is that the owner means well but is disorganized. The website is clearly out of date, and she is defensive when you explain that you were just following her published info. I want to give them another shot, but I have never been treated this way at Greene street consignment or Nesting House. I'm more inclined to support businesses that have their stuff together, and my sense is that this place ain't it.
