I called and texted numerous times on Friday trying to confirm when you would be coming. My text was read, but I received no response. Then, without any prior confirmation, I suddenly received an "on our way" notification on Saturday, giving me approximately 40 minutes' notice. I was not available with such little notice, which is why I instructed the technician not to come. This was not me refusing a scheduled appointment--it was the direct result of your company's lack of communication and failure to provide an appointment window despite my repeated attempts to obtain one.

We bought a house with an older unground pool knowing that over the next few years it would need a…read moregood bit of "freshening up" Our first experience with fox pools was when we discovered we had a water leak from our pool pump. We had seen the fox pools vans around and decided to give them a call (07/2022). Fox came out within 24 hours and replaced our shaft seal and impeller and the leak was fixed. They totally could have taken advantage of new pool owners and tried to upswell us a whole new pump but they were honest and only fixed what needed to be fixed. The technicians were on time, very quick and knowledgeable. Also, fox pools texts you a link when they are on the way and you can see when the technician is on the way, when they are complete with the repair and when your invoice is ready. Think like the dominos pizza tracker! Very nice feature as we are sometimes not home when they come for service. Fast forward to the end of the season (11/2022) the motor for the pool pump went out (I tried replacing the start capacitor but still no good) the motor and pump assembly looked pretty old so I contacted fox pools and they recommended to only replace the electrical motor side as the water pump side more than likely still has a good bit of life left in it. Their recommendation saved us several hundred dollars. And to this day the pump is running great. Our the next summer after replacing the motor (06/2023) we went to open the pool and we were not getting the water clarity we were used to. Knowing that we had lived in the house for two years now and who knows when the previous homeowners had the sand changed out we decided it was time to have the sand changed out in our Hayward sand filter. Fox pools came in cheaper than other pool companies in the area and with their great work and communication we went ahead and got on their books. They were out in a few days and changed out the sand and inspected the laterals, they were very quick with the work and after that it was back to crystal clear water. Fast forward again this time to this week (10/23). Fox replaced our tattered old water bag tarp cover with a GLI promesh cover. Price was fair, turn around time was great and it looks fantastic. They also closed and winterized our pool at the same time. I'm shocked how efficient they are. Had the pool closed and new safety cover installed in about an hour and a half. In conclusion, Fox Pools is an honest, reliable and professional pool service who will take great care of your pool.

The issue was not resolved quickly, and the impact on my use of my backyard and inground pool during the summer was substantial. The company describes situations like this as rare, but my experience has involved more than just the product replacement. There have also been ongoing concerns regarding communication, service scheduling, and follow-through on commitments that remain unresolved. Specifically, I was promised complimentary valet service twice a month from January through June due to the delays, yet services were missed in January and February and later adjusted without clear explanation or make-up service. In addition, I was informed that a contractor would be paid for additional required work related to the installation issues, and that payment has still not been issued. Their website clearly states that "the customer is king" and emphasizes a commitment to positive experiences and strong customer support. Unfortunately, my experience has not reflected that standard. My concerns are not about Great Atlantic's intent, but about follow-through, communication, and honoring what was communicated during this process. This company tends to think that replacing the item and making promises to customers but not following through on them is acceptable. I am still looking for a fair resolution and clear confirmation on the outstanding service and payment issues noted above.

My partner and I noticed our sauna was no longer able to get up to temp and so we contacted this company to inspect and repair. My partner noticed that two of the heating elements were no longer getting hot and looked to be rusted. When the technician came out to our property($185 just for visit) he informed them that he believed the heating element needed to be changed. However, the technician said that it was the sensor that needed to be changed ($225). After replacing our sensor we noticed that after waiting 4hrs the sauna still wasn't getting up to heat. So they recommended changing out the second sensor (this reply came 3 months later. It's impressive how they managed to diagnose my sauna's issues with the precision of a blindfolded dart throw. I almost believed their impressive-sounding technical jargon, but it turns out it's just a language they speak to hide their lack of actual knowledge. Their lovely Director of Operations, Diana, wrote an email detailing how it's company standard to charge $400 for a misdiagnosis, and then proceeded to state that it was in fact the heating elements and their technician had wrote that in his notes on the first visit. But don't worry, they offered to repair that for a nominal fee of $600. After informing them that we asked for the heating element to be repaired from the get go and that charging to fix items that weren't broken was dishonest they were non responsive. But here's the pièce de résistance--we fixed our sauna for $60 and within 30 mins. After ordering two heating elements and watching a Youtube video. So if you need your sauna repaired, spare yourself $1000 dollars and four months of waiting. My partner and I can cut you a deal :) In conclusion, if you enjoy a good laugh, a hefty bill, and the thrill of waiting for eons, Great Atlantic is for you! The owner of the company said that he would replace the liner because it was measured wrong he said and also repair the sink hole. They told me after that the liner was on order and I call to see when they were going to come back and they would not call you back or at least text you back. So now I'm left with a pool that is not finished. This has been going on for months now. I can't believe that the summer is almost over and when they started on the pool it was spring. I hope no one will have to go through this on a pool liner replacement.
