We had Shane and the team at Polishing Pad repair our car after it was badly damaged in an accident, and we are extremely happy with the results. The car looks beautiful, and it was returned to us spotless inside and out. The entire team was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. A special thank you to Madison at the front desk for keeping us updated throughout the process and making everything go smoothly. Excellent workmanship and outstanding customer service. Family owned business and these guys are the real deal. Brought my Santa Fe in because someone hit it while parked. They took care of everything from the moment I came in until the job was done. Excellent communication skills from every one I dealt with, they're organized, keep good notes and their word is their bond. Got my vehicle back in time and it looks as good as if it just came off the show room floor. Why are you still reading this review? Do yourself a favor & take your car to Vaughn. You won't regret it! read more

On January 5th I got into an accident due to the crazy weather. I was so angry and annoyed because I knew my insurance was going to increased even though I wasn't at fault. My car looks like i just got it from the dealership .I am such a happy camper. Thank you Vaun and staff for the amazing job well done. You guys are amazing. I strongly recommend them. read more

The Polishing Pad - Body Shops Near Me - Staten Island, New York

Some idiot teenager hit my boyfriends car as we were merging onto the highway. We heard about this place from a friend who said this was the best place to go on Staten Island, compared to other shady questionable places. The car needed it's rear bumper replaced and front bumper repaired, we were given a fair quote for quality work. The turnaround time was excellent, around a week which is what I expected. Shane, took care of all our needs and if we ever need any other work done I'll definitely come back. read more

Brought my mother's brand new car here after she was hit by a truck, I knew they would do an excellent job as I've been here before years ago for my own car and we were not disappointed. Shane and his family has been so cordial, communicated constantly to let us know what was going on, especially with all the delays in parts right now and we trusted the Polishing Pad and got the car looking brand new! Such excellent work and excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend!!!!!!!! read more

This is the second time I have had to get collision damage repaired on my vehicle. And again I just can't say enough about the customer service and workmanship of the Polishing Pad. The insurance company gave us a really hard way to go because of my inexperience in dealing with them. But what I've learned is to just bring the vehicle to the Polishing Pad and they'll take care of the rest. Thanks again for taking such great care of us and our vehicle. read more

I recently bought a new car and within a week I was hit from behind. (I know, it sucks). Luckily for me I brought it to The Polishing Pad. Vaughn put my mind at ease and reassured me that any damage would be replaced as new and it would be as if it had come from the factory. He promised me that I would have my car back within a week and he came through. In addition, he arranged EVERYTHING. He called the insurance and even arranged the rental car company to come pick me up from work and when I was done with it, arranged the rental to be picked up from his address- saving me time and inconvenience. There arent enough kind words to say about him or his staff. Each car is brought in each night and treated as if they were his own. I brought in my sports car earlier in the year to take care of some chips in the hood and they stripped and repainted the hood and bumper exactly to match. When I got my car back, it was as promised- perfect-and they even detailed it so it really looked as beautiful as the day I bought it. I can truly say that I recommend Vaughn and his business more than any company I have ever recommended. Friendly, competent and professional- just what you need when you've experienced the bad luck to have an accident. Thanks, Polishing Pad, for being the best anyone could hope for. read more

Couldn't be happier with the quality and professionalism that was received here. We had our door hit in the snowstorm and Vaughn made the whole experience so easy. The door and side of the car came back looking like a shiny new diamond and working perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone from any side of the island if you need work done on your vehicle. Before you get sent to a fly by night chop shop that slaves for your insurance company, go see the polishing pad! You'll be extremely happy with the service and friendly people working there. read more

I was hit twice from behind. The first time, I was in New Dorp Lane and this girl hit me from behind at a red light, not sure if she was texting or she slid due to the rain. either way I had to call the cops while waiting for them to arrive, another driver accidentally hit me from the front by trying to by pass me. anyways my boyfriend at the time mentioned he had a spot where I can bring my car and they do excellent service. I came to Vaughn and showed him my damage, as he approach to see it he, was just wonderful and explain all the steps, the cost and no matter what, I would have my car within a week and my car will look brand new. His Wife, was a doll, she was also very professional and took care of all the insurances process, made sure I had a car rental while I was with out a car. long story short I got my baby back and I was super pleased.. A day before Thanksgiving, I was hit from behind while waiting for the red light to turn green.( just my luck) the lady that hit me was shocked and came to see if I was ok, long story short she offered me $300 dollars on the spot so we won't have to go through the insurance and I said no. Well luckily the cops were a few cars behind and stopped to see if we needed help. This lady was nasty and called me all kinds of names for filing a report. Anyways Once Again I found my self back in Polishing Pad. Vaughn was amazing, he gave me advices on how to deal with this lady who was driving without insurance and license at the time. I got my baby back within a week and again she looks like new. Thank you Vaughn and Phillies for all you do and for the prefect customer service.... read more

This place was top notch and different from most body shops I have been to. When you walk in it's nothing but class from that first hand shake until they hand you back your keys. My Jeep had small damage to the back panel and bumper from a valet parking accident. Vaughn greeted me, explained what needed to be done with my car to repair it, and then actually walked me through the show and tell process that the car will go through. I dropped off my car a few days later to get the work done and picked it up this past Friday. Excellent repair, excellent service. Really should be an example of what other car places should follow. I will definitely be back for any other body work I have. Thanks read more

5 Stars is nothing compared to the excellent service I received at the Polishing Pad. Their efficiency and swiftness in fixing my car was amazing. I got into a car accident which damaged the whole front side of my vehicle. Faxed them the police report, and Vinny said, "Don't worry about anything else. The next call you get from me is going to be me asking you what time you wanna pick up your car." And he was truly right; they took care of all the insurance paperwork, fixing of the car, and even detailed it on the house. Vinny, Eddy, you guys are the best! Thanks for excellent service - Sunny read more
