Sponge/foam like stuff that's supposed to be Lobster

Lobster rolls are filled with spongy/foam parts of lobster. Ive had this happen 3 times now. I couldn't even get my cats to eat the lobster. That says A LOT.

Went back to Plank to get the lobster roll again but this time it was not very good unfortunately. The first time it was the best, this one had little flavor and was very overcooked and tough. We don't like ours with too much mayo but it tasted like it didn't have any and was very dry. Shrimp cocktail was still very good, Bloody Mary was not great. Will try this place out again but it seems like it has gone downhill. That said, the service was still great.

My friend and I have been to the plank multiple times and the bartenders Ryan and Anthony are always so helpful when choosing a drinks or food. The lighting and music add a nice ambiance. They always lets us play songs when they are closing. The vibes are strong. The drinks are amazing and the food is delicious and filling. Highly recommend for a good time!

Visited with a few friends at this very nice raw bar above Restaurant Rocco with indoor and outdoor seating. The tables inside are a bit small, it's a smaller space. Starting with the good, our server Brooke and the bartender Bryan were super nice and patient. They checked on us frequently, but not in an overbearing way. Now for the not so good. I was very disappointed in the wait time for our food which we ordered around 7:30 (my pics confirm these times) -- 1/2 dozen oysters, two sandwich meals (salmon blt & lobster roll, both came with chips), crab nachos, and seafood dip. Dip and nachos came out around 8:15 and the two sandwiches came out around 8:30. To top it all off, the oysters never came! When our server checked on us after we were finishing up, we asked about the oysters and she was going to check, but we canceled that order mainly because we wanted them as appetizers. My BLT had room temperature, but well-cooked salmon. Menu says there's charred pineapple, but I got no pineapple or charred flavor whatsoever. My friend loved the lobster roll and the others liked their dishes. The drinks were delicious. The most frustrating part of this experience was that there were only two other small parties inside. Just seemed as though our wait times were excessive.

Had Ryan and Anthony as our servers and they did great! First time here and the food and cocktails were fantastic! Will definitely be back for more happy hours!

Great spot overlooking the plaza at Bridgeway Station. Drinks and food were amazing. The bartenders were very attentive and service was exceptional. Definitely would recommend checking this out!

From the moment we walked in The Plank offered a very comfortable, relaxing ambience which includes choosing your own seating, whether it be at the bar or table. Our server, Dwaine, was friendly, engaging and shared his knowledge of the menu. We chose the Chesapeake Bay oysters on the half shell for starters. These oysters are phenomenal. Extremely fresh and chilled perfectly. Our entrées consisted of potato leek soup, ahi poke bowl and the salmon BLT. Each entrée tasted amazingly fresh and delicious. We dine out many times a week and Dwaine by far is the best server and bartender. We will definitely be returning customers. If you're looking for excellent quality food and number one service The Plank at Bridgeway is your place.

The indoor acoustics allowed for easy conversation and the background music complements the room. Tavola is quickly becoming one of our favorites. We love the setting and the food. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and beyond helpful guiding us to the Fruitti di Mare appetizer which was amazing..and the cocktails were the best I have had in a very long time anywhere. Being a bourbon fan I couldn't resist trying the Molly's Moda Antica and my wife had a Mediterranean Mule. We had a fabulous dinner. I tried the Branzino seafood entree which I had never heard of, but it was delicious. My wife had the Pappardelle pasta. Next visit I think we'll try for an outside balcony table or enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the open air bar seating. Good service, nice setting and an interesting menu with great food!

PROS: - Food quality and authenticity…read more- Server hospitality CONS: - Crowded seating - Hostess efficiency - Wait time Tavola starts with a plot twist: an 8:00 reservation that magically becomes 8:15 thanks to a hostess who apparently ghosted our existence. Not exactly la dolce vita. Thankfully, carbs save the day. Everything was house made. The handmade pasta was made with flour flown in from Italy! I had the casarecce which had light and well-balanced bacon and lemon flavors. My date had the the "whole" branzino, which despite described as "whole" came already de-boned and without the head. It was crispy, golden, and serving main character energy with its unique presentation. Frutti di mare was... there. I didn't think the flavors were anything to write home from Italy about. Though, the presentation was impeccable, I must admit. Whitney, our server, deserves a standing ovation! She was part waitress, part Italian food narrator, and made every dish sound like it had a backstory which honestly just elevates the whole experience. And the lemon cheesecake is worth saving room for. Flavors were bright, dreamy, and worth every calorie. My only regret is skipping the house-made focaccia.

I was just about to give up and go somewhere else when a spot opened. We were a group of 10 and were the 6th and 7th to arrive. Came in and sat down and it was a good 15 minutes before our server appeared for drink orders. They had a really good stout on draft so I ordered that and the alligator bites. It was another 15/20 minute before our server came back to inform me the keg blew and that beer wasn't available. So water it was. The alligator bites were not horrible, but weren't great either. Very bland and the breading was.....not crunchy. It was almost like they were microwaved and not cooked long enough. I went with the double bacon burger and fries, which was a $0.99 upsell from the house chips that comes with the burger. Two big thick patties with cheese and bacon. Pretty good burger. Not the best I've ever had but not the worst either. As for the ambience, good luck having a conversation. The place is open and loud. The actual restaurant is fairly small but it's part of a larger area. Think of a food court in a mall. Very hard to have a conversation due to all the noise. And people wondering in and sitting down without checking in, taking wait staff away from their other tables. Overall, I wasn't impressed. But, like I said, the area prom had a lot more people out than a normal Friday night, so I will return again for another meal.

We stayed at the bar for almost 10 minutes before taking off since no one was staffing it.read more

Really good food that we enjoyed thoroughly. Very interesting menu-fusion of many cuisines featuring many ingredients that found their way into places one would not expect. With happy results! I had the salmon moussaka. The salmon was delicious-slightly blackened. Great quality salmon. Paired nicely with the lovely tzatziki and accompanied by salad heavy with toasted garbanzos and mucho quinoa, 'cukes, endive-heavy greens and a spot on bright dressing. Sister had black bean burger on dressed bun that was accompanied by perfectly prepared steak fries with house made ketchup that had a slight heat to it. Really good as well. Kitchen staff nailed the preparation and everything came out perfectly. First meal out in Greenville (as we cook). I could not have been more pleased. Great value for the price. Certainly not inexpensive, but not outrageous. I will definitely be "stealing" this moussaka dish and presentation for my wife the minute I return home! Menu is in transition per our wait person, and one interesting dish was not available. And a croquette dish had been substituted the croquettes for a latke-like pancake (I presume)-not a croquette. Extremely friendly to the veg crowd! Seems like a great kitchen and well run restaurant. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere is very inviting... clean lines.... clean restaurant... terrific attentive service. We looked for a restaurant in the Greenville area that offered vegan and non vegan options. So this fit the bill. Richard said the veggie burger was a bit too soft for his liking. I say that in reference to a vegan burger we had in Berlin that was quite meaty in texture. I think using pea protein really makes a difference in texture... it is used more overseas than in the US. I had the zucchini and potato arepa. It was very tasty and quite filling!!!! A little too heavy for me for lunch... very hearty option. Our waitress was right there when we needed her, kept our water glasses filled, which is important to me because I drink a lot of water at meals. Our daughter had the Brussel sprouts, which she said were delicious. Serving sizes are good!!

It was a special of the month, but it was fat laden and inedible. Our conclusion was that the regular kitchen crew might have been on spring break, but it took several months for me to convince my wife (and mother-in-law) to return on a recent, rainy Saturday at lunch. One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch, so one bad meal after many great ones follows suit. I will say that sometimes there is inconsistency's in the dishes. I've had the pulled pork poutine when it was excellent with crisp fries and fluffy interior with that gravy and I've had it where it was a soupy and limp mess. But most times, the food is good. And that's the draw, it's a scratch kitchen. But it's also a bar. A sports bar. A great craft beer bar. But it comes with bar decor, and it sounds like a bar. It can be noisy. It can be empty or crowded. Depends. But the wait staff is usually hustling to cover the floor and in busy times the bartender or kitchen helps run food, so you just have to look at the whole thing and love it as a great neighborhood bar. We will come back, our burgers were excellent and the wings are consistently good. I think they might work on an in between buffalo sauce, the medium is not hot enough and the hot (or hottest) is so hot as to drown flavor. But that's just a nit to pick. I'm glad that we returned and had a good experience.

Once inside, the space is dimly lit and small, which makes for a genuinely intimate setting. I'd say it's good for a quieter, more conversational vibe rather than a loud night out. We went with the bartender's choice: pick a base liquor, then two words to describe what you're after. I went with vodka and "slightly sweet, refreshing," for $18. The bartender nailed the brief but it wasn't a drink I'd think about again or specifically order by name. Solid execution, forgettable flavor. Service was the real standout. Our bartender was excellent at walking us through the concept and translating vague requests into something that actually worked. That, plus the atmosphere, is enough to bring me back to see what else is on the menu since we made it there just in time for last call so I ended up only having one drink.
