When I mentioned it was my first time, she welcomed me and explained all about their teas, especially the honey powder, which I had heard sells out quickly. The store is hidden away behind the Garden Shed on Main Street in Cambria, and there is lots of free parking in the back. I wandered in and was somewhat overwhelmed by the merchandise and the layout of the store, but soon found my way around. I wasn't exactly greeted, but was followed by a lady ranting about her schedule, into the first room, which was full of fun, relaxed dresses I explored more of the room displays. Each area seemed to be dedicated to a different musician. There was a black room with lots of OTT clothes and a large picture of Cher. The next section had a picture of Annie Lenox, with a rocker vibe, lots of tops and jeans. There was also clothing with pictures of the Beatles, and Beatles cards. Rock star coffee table books rested in a shelf, alongside elegant tote bags. Lots of creative cards and thoughtful books were on display! It's an intriguing store with lots of creative merchandise, all worth a second look!

Friday was a beautiful day to be at the seaside and to walk along that sidewalks of Cambria and admire the quaint and captivating stores. Now that Highway One is open again, Cambria is seeing a lot more traffic up and down the coast, which translates into a lot more traffic in town. Home Arts was no exception. We were greeted right away by the friendly owner, which always makes for pleasant browsing. The store had a delightful display of new merchandise with a light buoyant feeling. A lot of the merchandise is a beautiful turquoise or blue which would look perfect in a seaside cottage or just remind you of a seaside cottage when you take it back to the city with you. I loved the classical wood mirror surrounded by ceramic "wallflowers". The beautiful stained glass boxes and glass jellyfish dangling from the ceiling also drew my attention. I never fail to find a unique and impressive gift whenever I go there. My husband and I also collect Arts and Crafts tiles, and I was happy to see a whole flock of dragonfly tiles on disply. The store is showing more local artists lately so there's a lot of local talent on display as well as beautifully made furniture and paintings. One of the best features about this store is that the prices are very reasonable for such fine artisan craftsmanship.
