I kind of have a love/hate relationship with puns, so the name of this store intrigued me from the getgo! The store is hidden away behind the Garden Shed on Main Street in Cambria, and there is lots of free parking in the back. I wandered in and was somewhat overwhelmed by the merchandise and the layout of the store, but soon found my way around. I wasn't exactly greeted, but was followed by a lady ranting about her schedule, into the first room, which was full of fun, relaxed dresses I explored more of the room displays. Each area seemed to be dedicated to a different musician. There was a black room with lots of OTT clothes and a large picture of Cher. The next section had a picture of Annie Lenox, with a rocker vibe, lots of tops and jeans. There was also clothing with pictures of the Beatles, and Beatles cards. Rock star coffee table books rested in a shelf, alongside elegant tote bags. Lots of creative cards and thoughtful books were on display! It's an intriguing store with lots of creative merchandise, all worth a second look! read more

Ocean Heir is an exquisite boutique that I visit and shop at, every time I come to Cambria. They have absolutely beautiful clothing, jewelry and accessories. Love the floor in this store. Love the location of this store Love the merchandise in this store. I understand that $100 +$ may not be a lot to most people . Yet to me it is a huge amount to drop in one place on 3 items that are wonderful! All this being said : I do not care if your spending $.01 to 1 million! Do NOT have / or be rude stuck up snobs! Not everyone can spend their earnings and may want an item they have / or can save for and also word of mouth advertisement is always the best. This shop is tucked away in the back patio of The Garden Shed, where an array of other cute little stores are awaiting you. Ocean Heir drew me in with some interesting looking scarves and displays. There are so many shelves and displays to explore packed with unique clothing, accessories, stationery and small decorative finds. The style is shabby chic inspired with a hint of Anthropologie but at WAY more affordable prices. The staff was super helpful and sweet and based on some items I was eyeing, they made some suggestions and pointed out other similar merchandise. They did so in a way that wasn't too salesy or overbearing-you could tell they simply love their merchandise and like to show it off. Many nature inspired patterns, soft materials and amazingly fair prices. There were so many scarves, cozy sweaters and fun jewelry I could have walked out with. I settled on a super cozy hummingbird pattern sweater and a fun cobalt blue scarf. I left feeling I got some beautiful pieces at a great value and can't wait to come back the next time I visit Cambria. Didn't get to take photos since I was in serious shopping mode, but trust me, Ocean Heir is a lovely store, with lovely merchandise and lovely staff. read more

I went in here for the first time today and I was really disappointed with the place. it used to be a different shop before. it's a clothing shop now. The clothes are very expensive and average price is over a $100 for something like a dress. they do have a sale rack that is $15 but it's very small sizes. The owner did not even aknowledge me when I walked in no hello nothing. I browsed through the store for at least 5 minutes. stuff is pricey a replica rock band shirt was $59 for something I could buy on Amazon for $25. I bought nothing. and no acknowledgment of me leaving like thanks for stopping by my shop. it's a small business. I don't think I'll ever go back there. read more

The overall vibe and aesthetic of this shop is beautiful. All the products are lovely and seem to be of good quality, and the price range for them is fair. Why the low rating? Fair sizing. The main product of this store is an "over-sized" clothing look; layers, drop shoulders, non tight fitting. The problem is the actual diversity of the sizing itself. Tucked behind my favorite nursery shop are a collection of unique shops that is my bit of magic in a trip to Cambria Each time I visit Cambria this is one shop that I look forward to visiting. The variety of clothing, scarves, jewelry and gift items are selected with such care. Many of my favorite wardrobe pieces come from 'Ocean Heir'. Was in town with my daughters for a girls weekend . We had a great time exploring this adorable little town, and try to come once a year. There is a magic in cambria. We love shopping and checking out the antique stores .We stumbled across the garden store we decided to go into and it was amazing there where a few other stores inside the garden, it was adorable. We went into oceans heir my daughters loved all the cute clothes and so many fun things to look at new and old . Butttttt the woman that worked there came up to us and was so rude She made us feel so uncomfortable and followed us around the store like we where going to steel something . As we left she said something very condescending to my daughter, we where is shock from her behavior. Totally ruined that store for us because everyone else in the town was so nice and welcoming. This was really disappointing I hope she doesn't act this way with everyone and I hope it was a off day for the woman that worked there. Unfortunately we will not go back to that store again. I will be back to cambria :) read more

We visited this small shop yesterday and liked it. I bought two tiny bottles of perfume oil with lovely scents ($14/each, which is *very* reasonable). We also had a delightful conversation with the sweet and enthusiastic young woman working there. read more

I love this shop. It's an eclectic mix of women's clothing, jewelry, accessories, stationary, books, and more. It's hard for me to leave this store without picking something new up. It's tucked away on the backside of The Garden Shed (it's not visible from the street). Go through the garden shed and turn left. There are other cute shops located in the same courtyard. read more

This clothing store is always on my list of "to do's" when I visit friends and family in San Luis Obispo/Cambria. I love, love, love their styles and choices. I feel very much at home and can (and do!) browse for a long time! The staff is friendly and helpful. I never feel pressured to buy, which is nice. The quality of the clothing is also top notch. On a trip to Cambria several years ago, I stopped at this store and I loved their selection of purses, tops, skirts, accessories. After a visit to Hearst Castle, I went looking for it again on Main Street and I was so happy to find that it was still there - they still have an amazing selection of clothes, accessories and lovely purses with reasonable prices. The lady who helped me was so nice and it was fun to revisit the store again. I may come to Cambria more often just to check out this store! read more

We were up in Cambria for our Anniversary and were at the coffee shop next door (lilly's)...and I decided to go exploring while the bf stayed and read the paper. I am glad I did because this is the cutest shop!! It is inside "The Garden Shed"...and is simply adorable!!
