The moment we arrived, we were greeted by a bartender whose hostility was immediate and inescapable. His disdain for customers was so palpable that nearly every patron at the bar was openly discussing it, people were literally afraid to order drinks from him. He met every request with eye rolling contempt, as if our very presence was an imposition. Later in the night, when I ordered a drink from a different spot at the bar, he barked at me for doing so. Apparently that wasn't "how things worked here." Never mind that the bar was nearly empty and obviously unassigned seating. The pettiness was staggering. That was my breaking point. I called him out for his abusive treatment of paying customers.. Instead of addressing the obvious problem, a manager approached me with a threat: "We know how he is, but if you don't relax, you're gonna have to leave." Let that sink in. Rather than deal with a employee with an apparent pattern of hostility, they chose to intimidate a customer for voicing a legitimate complaint. Multiple patrons actually thanked me afterward, they'd endured the same treatment all night but lacked the nerve to speak up. I documented the experience on their Instagram. They deleted it immediately. This isn't a bad night...it's a culture problem. Paulie Gees has chosen protection over accountability, and their customers are the ones paying the price. I won't be back, and I'd urge others to take their business elsewhere.

Creamy Oregano Salad: very interesting. small shaves of mushroom and fennel. very slight bitter taste. oddly addictive. the olives were my favorite part. i'd consider these friendly olives to those suspicious of olives. and the olives are cut in halves, so easy to pick out. so are the mushrooms. easy split for a table of four. beyond that i'd get two. *ADD ON* pickled chilies: very good. I suggest adding this to the pie. they are green, spicy, delicious, absolutely lovely. Corn Pizza: all together very delicious. my favorite part are the cherry tomatoes on top, which I would really like to be an add on option to other pies. they are the perfect flavor and size. i'm not particularly a tomato fan, especially whole. these are a rare exception. Classic Pizza?: solid, no notes. good as always. My only wish is that they offered a sauce to dip my crust in. they have very good crust, perfect ration of crispy and fluffy. just needs a sauce. I was immediately seated upon arriving to Pizzeria Vetri. I was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar, at a table, or at the pizza counter. I chose the pizza counter so that I could watch staff making pizzas. As I was there on my own, the serving staff continued to stop by and check on me. The menu includes neopolitan pizzas (12" feeding 1-2 people) and metro pizzas (28" feeding 3-4 people). They make pizzas, calzones, antipasti, and salads. I chose a Neapolitan-style pepperoni pizza consisting of pepperoni, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and fresh oregano. It was quite filling and absolutely delicious! They also sell pizza kits so that you can make your own pizza at home. Pizzeria Vetri was created to celebrate the art of authentic pizza making. The pizza has gotten better but you have to beg for more sauce on pizza and instead you get more grease. Some of the front staff is okay, the girl who wears the concert shirts all the time is why I keep coming in, she is sooo sweet. The prices on a plain steak sandwich fluctuate, tell me how that happens? The worst though is delivery, if you order only a small pizza and live 4 blocks away you are waiting an hour. Also the great new idea from the owner is they take your credit card at your home. Driver can be there for 10 minutes and the small pizza wait time was before this new credit card idea. WHAT A JOKE! They have a side seating area with no air in the summer. Get pick up or do not go at all. Been open sine 1987. Oh owner drives a convertible with open container drinking. ILLEGAL read more
