We soon learned that MariaLaura continually monitors her clients' tours to ensure that all proceeds according to plan. A native Italian, she has comprehensive and intimate knowledge of every region of Italy, including areas quite off the beaten track where we intended to go. She has a vivacious personality and a genuine interest in getting to know her clients and understanding their travel styles and preferences. While she was charting out our itinerary, we stayed in touch by phone or email, working out all of the details. The trip she planned for us involved stays in seven cities, starting in Genoa, looping south through Cinque Terre and Florence, turning westward through Bologna and Parma, and finishing in Torino (all cities besides Florence were new to us). She booked all transfers and hotels, working with several local travel companies. The entire tour was indeed fantastic in every way, and went without a hitch. We had contact information for the local companies, and on the few occasions when we needed to be in touch with them (for example, when our boat tour of Cinque Terre had to be postponed because of bad weather), they were absolutely responsive and reliable. All of the drivers were punctual and personable, and even those who professed not to speak English spoke quite a bit and were eager to point out sites and provide interesting background information. Hotels were all first-rate and very well located (always an important criterion for us). MariaLaura booked walking tours in each of the cities we visited, and all of these tours were wonderful and essential to our experience. Otherwise, we were on our own in each of the cities to explore as we saw fit. Since we know Europe quite well and are comfortable with European languages, this worked out very well. (It's less likely that we'd try this approach in other parts of the world.) We took a fabulous day trip from Genoa exploring the western Italian Riviera and Monaco without a guide but only a driver, who took us from place to place and even to some places that he didn't know but that we had read about. On days when we were transferring from one city to another we tried to stop at points of interest along the way. For example, on our way from Bologna to Parma we stopped in Modena to tour the Casa Pavarotti, the Ferrari Museum, and the medieval city center. It's important to note that we could not have done such a tour on our own with a rental car. Parking would have been next to impossible in many of the places we visited. We were able to get out and explore while the driver waited and picked us up at a pre-appointed spot. MariaLaura also booked several excellent specialty tours, including an unforgettable private sunset boat tour of Cinque Terre and a small-group tour outside Parma (just four people) featuring locations where Parmigiano Reggiano, balsamic vinegar, and prosciutto are produced. MariaLaura was very helpful and patient with us as our plans developed. When we found out that tickets were available for a performance of Aida at the Teatro Verdi in Busseto (outside Parma) on a certain date, she reworked the schedule to make sure we would be there. This was not a trivial matter, since the timeframe was narrow and hotel reservations for the hotels we wanted were not readily available. We appreciated the way she willingly took on the challenge and got back to us quickly with a revised schedule that worked out perfectly. She is truly a gem. The cost for this trip, not inexpensive, was nevertheless a very good value. MariaLaura worked with us to tweak the program so as to keep it reasonably on budget. Our tour of Northern Italy was truly a dream vacation. Having been to Italy a number of times, there are still areas that we have not explored. If and when we plan another trip, we hope to do it through Fantastica Italia.

My request wasn't difficult, I'm first generation Italian and wouldn't have had a problem booking directly, I contacted them because my husband has some health issues and I felt they'd be able to help/advise with that. My best friend and I were going to a retreat at Mago. Upon arrival at the Phoenix airport we were picked up by the shuttle and taken directly to Mago. Even though it was a 2 hour drive, it flew by because they were so interactive. We heard history of the area as well as new building projects were pointed out. This didn't feel like a paid service, it felt like traveling with family. After our retreat at Mago was over, we treated ourselves to their private tour of the Sedona area. This was absolutely amazing! We've been to Sedona before but it wasn't a great trip so this was our redemption trip and we surely got that. We were driven around to places we had no idea existed and felt like royalty. We were listened to and every need was met with a smile. I will always schedule my transport needs with them when in the Phoenix/Sedona area in the future. They are absolutely the best of the best in my opinion and I am difficult to please at times.

I've used five…read moreother tour companies over the past 30 years (yes, I'm old), and none have compared to the excellence in customer service, the selection of hotels and travel modes, and the trust placed in the consumer when making decisions. This is a small company. If you need something, you call the employees at TSA and you will not get a voicemail. You will actually TALK to the person you wish to talk to, when you want to talk to him/her. On the last trip, we had a participant leave a wallet on the airplane. The person had two insurance policies that were not of assistance when he called them. TSA sent an employee in the middle of the night to the office in Tempe; this employee proceeded to contact the airlines and arrange for the wallet to be held until our group came back through the country. When we landed in Iceland, there was an airline agent at our gate, with wallet in hand! This is just one example..want more? Okay...one year (we go frequently) we were in Venice and were to have vaporeto passes provided. We couldn't find out where to pick them up; I called TSA and found out there was a mistake (this is highly, highly unusual). So, to compensate my group, TSA pre-arranged a traditional dinner in Salzburg for the entire group, at a much great expense. My husband and I design our tours and we request minute details to our program and TSA employees always include each detail. I can't say enough; we only worked with one other company that treated our groups with such expert guidance and product, but they are not operating any longer. The owners of TSA are 100% honest, reliable, and willing to make your group travel worry free. I would like to refute the negative rating the Elizabeth P. left on this site. While I'm sorry you were not able to get your $400.00 deposit returned because that's a lot of money for sure, the literature (fine print) clearly states that the deposit is non-refundable. I take large groups; the last had 45 people, and there is a professional way to protect yourself. I collect the deposits from my travelers and hold it until a date when I'm sure of the minimum travelers still planning on participating. Then, I make it crystal clear that on a specific date, I will mail in their deposit. At this time, they know that the $400.00 is out of my hands and will not be returned under any circumstances, and to be honest, rightly so. Even if they had not made reservations yet for you, their office staff and the brick and mortar is costing money. They created the plan, the organization, the brochures, and the employee HOURS were used as they communicated with you. The computer systems, the registration, etc., etc., etc. of small businesses are so expensive. If we lose money because we back out, the deposit barely covers the cost to TSA. I suggest in the future, if you're taking groups, you explain to your participants that they can purchase a "cancel for any reason" policy on Squaremouth.com. These are affordable policies that pay 75% of your funds back to you if you decide to not participate. We have had to file a claim in the past and the participant received a refund within two weeks. Again, I feel for anyone who loses money and doesn't get a trip they had planned, but TSA has very little fine print and they are extremely flexible in all arenas, except the deposit that is cut and dry. For solvency, they have to draw a tight line on the deposit. Anyway, if you are looking for very customized, right down to the time you want your flight to leave and which airline you desire, and if you want what I consider perfect customer service, choose TSA Tours.

Both cruises were awesome but Dave and his team HELPED us every step of the way. Starting with recommendations and providing us many options. Additionally, since the Alaskan cruise was postponed twice.... The amount of change, information received from cruise, and my million questions ... Dave helped us through it every STEP OF THE WAY!!! We had some issues with 2 tours that we booked through Ride the Wave and Jim was fast to respond and assist. One of the tours we ended up having to cancel due to scheduling issues. I reached out to Jim to let him know and he worked on getting the refund process started right away and I received a confirmation email from the tour vendor the same day. We're now just waiting for it to get credited back to our card. The peace of mind of our trip being taken care of by professionals is invaluable. I can't recommend enough going through a travel agency for big trips because you just never know what could happen. We left on an early flight so we needed to leave at 4:30. At 4:20, he sent a text saying he was in the driveway. As others stated, his car was immaculate and the carseat looked like it was brand new. When we landed after our return flight, I had a text telling me he saw we landed early and was already at the airport, to text him when we had our bags and exactly where to meet him. The airport was chaos and he pointed out the long line of cars stacked up on the westbound side and took a different route to get us home. Very impressive limousine service in Scottsdale…read more We were looking for a really large limousine and the typical limo company that we normally use for our limousine service was unavailable so we called Scottsdale Sedan and limousine and they were able to provide us with an 18 passenger Cadillac Escalade stretch limousine for our night out. When we spoke with the agent on the phone they were really really helpful and nice and that made a big difference. The limousine that showed up was absolutely and totally clean and I have to say it was beautiful. Our driver went out of his way to make sure that we were safe and happy. Also the free champagne for our entire group was a wonderful touch so thank you for everything you guys did a great job.
